Stanhope Agricultural Society

I would like to thank all exhibitors for my entry on my first judging appointment in the breed. My ring was an excellent size and allowed the dogs to show off their movement. A few of the dogs were feeling the cold but coped well in the damp conditions. Thanks also to my very able steward.

Beagle Junior (3)

1st – Goldberg’s Molesend Adrift.

15 month old Mottle dog. Lovely temperament. Nice length of low set leathers framing a masculine yet gentle expression with good dark pigment. Lovely arched neck leading onto strong level topline. Good strong quarters allowed him to drive out well. Nice tight padded feet. Good coat, presented in good condition. Seemed to be thoroughly enjoying his day out.

2nd – Linden’s Bruadair Fobhannon BP

3rd – Gildert’s Callidoniane Diamond

Beagle Graduate (7, 1abs)

1st Linden’s Bruadair Dealaidh JW ShCM

One I have admired and did not disappoint when going over. 2 year old compact tricolour bitch. Lovely size and shape. Beautifully presented in good coat. Gorgeous soft feminine expression with dark pigment. Good neck leading into level topline. Correct tailset and carriage. Good bone and feet. Moved with reach and drive from strong quarters. Liked her a lot. Presented and shown to perfection. Handler really got the best out of her. I was delighted to see she later went on to be awarded RBIS. Well done.

2nd – Gildert’s Callidoniane Emerald

3rd – Butters & Theobald’s Orchidvale Blossom of Breskar

Beagle Open (8, 4a)

1st – Davies’ Seevad High Lite

9 year t/w boy. Lovely head with soft expression. Good neck and shoulders. Good bone. Level topline both stacked and on the move. Well muscled quarters used to advantage, nice tight feet. A real showman. Very close decision between 1 and 2. Both strode out well showing good reach and drive. Just felt 1 scored in front movement.

2nd – Goldberg’s Sabinhay Phantasy

3rd - Butters & Theobald’s Orchidvale Blossom of Breskar
