All dogs were beautifully presented, some lacked in muscle condition which cost placing and others coped better with the small ring size.

13mth bitch, with lots of promise, feminine head with dark eye, ears set low, correct bite, clean neck which flowed into good shoulder placement, lovely straight forelegs when viewed from front, good feet, good depth of chest for age, close fitting elbows, firm topline, well bent stifle, well muscled for age, moved with good driving movement RBOB

Irish Setter Graduate

1st MacDonald REDCLYST KEARNEY

Difficult class to judge, won by a 2 year old who was more positive on the move, pleasing head with dark eye, good clean muscular neck, correct bite, straight front, good feet, firm topline, well muscled back quarters, moved with drive.

2 lovely dogs headed this class, strange masculine head, intelligent expression, really alert, ears well set low, lovely reach of neck flowing into good well laid back shoulders, good straight front, best of feet, good depth of chest with spring of ribs, muscular over loin, in good coat and condition, moved with drive around the small ring, which was a shame as cost him later in the challenge as struggled to get into good stride.

Beautifully presented bitch, shown in good muscular condition, she was a pleasure t watch on the move, the most feminine of heads with a kind expression, good muscular neck into well placed shoulders, straight front with good feet. Good depth of chest, spring of ribs, strong firm topline and loin, well bet stifles, in good coat. BOB

11mth bitch with a lot to like. A lovely clean outline, standing and on the move, carries herself well, well defined stop, nostrils wide, deep muzzle, good expression, ears set low of good texture, long muscular neck into good shoulder placement, straight forearm, stands on strong legs and good tight feet. Short in back, well bent stifles with good second thigh coming, shown in good coat and condition, she moved out well fore and after with good driving action. BOB, BP, PG2

My notes just say stunning, am sure I cannot do her justice. As soon as she entered the ring, she took my eye, so balanced from her nose to tip of tail, she just oozes quality. The most feminine of heads, well defined stop, good depth of muzzle, ears set on well, muscular neck of good length flowing into well laid back shoulders, straight forelegs with beautiful feet, good depth of brisket, ribs well sprung, short coupled, strong back, great bend of stifle, well let down hocks, tail straight of back, her movement was a joy to watch, strode out well with good ground coverage and with drive using her tail to full advantage. Difficult decision between first 2 in this class and am sure placing could change, 2 males headed the class of different types but of equal qualities, upstanding all male 2 year old, masculine head of correct proportions, good pigment, correct bite, ears set on well, well muscled neck flowing into well laid shoulders, straight forelegs, lovely feet, elbows close fitting to body, deep in chest, with ribs carried well back, good level topline, good angulations in hindquarters with excellent second thigh and shown in hard condition, moved well with good ground coverage BOB

Would prefer harder condition, beautifully presented coat. RBOB

I just preferred the overall ring attitudes of the boys in the challenge for BOB.
