I thoroughly enjoyed my day and wish to thank the hard working Committee for another well-run show. It was an honour to be asked to judge. We were very lucky with the weather and I hope everyone enjoyed his or her day as much as I did. I do have a couple of concerns, that I feel need to be mentioned. I was surprised to find quite a few dogs out at elbows and where is our lovely topline and tail set disappearing to, standing or on the move? There were also a few incorrect mouths in the lower classes and my placing’s reflected these concerns.

Special Veteran Dog 8 – 3 abs

1st Carter’s CANALEIGH HOT GOSPEL JW ShCM

9 years old presented in good condition and mid gold coat, balanced outline. Masculine head with kind eye and gentle expression, nice reach of neck flowing into nice front assembly, straight legs with tight feet, elbow, close, good spring of ribs, lovely level topline with tail straight of back which he held on the move, moved well fore and after and very attentive to handler. 2nd Carmikli’s MITCHARRON MEPHIS MILTON

9 year old presented in blonde coat, larger frame but pleasing on the eye, masculine head with good pigment, strong neck, into ok shoulder placement, good length of leg deep in body, elbows close, level topline, good bend of stifle, muscular condition straight hocks, moved drive maintaining topline.

1st Stevens & Hadden Mrs S & Mr M GUNHILLS MIGHTY QUINN

Very promising puppy who must have a bright future, such balance for just 6 months of age, lovely head, enhanced with good pigment and melting expression, good length of neck into correct front assembly good straight front legs with tight feet, level topline and correct tail set, short coupled, little bit straight in stifle but am sure will come with age. This young man moved like a pro and comes into his own, long easy stride made to look effortless. Will watch his progress with interested.

2nd Seares Mrs C TANALIA CONNOR

8mth old who was not quite as together as winner on the move, slightly longer cast, pleasing head with good pigment, lovely length of neck, good layback of shoulder with good length of upper arm, tight feet, good bend of stifle, straight hocks, moved well once settled.

1st Johnson Mr RH & Mrs CP CHORIAND COIN A PHRASE

12mth dog that won on over all maturity. Stand foursquare, would prefer a little more length of leg but his overall qualities out way this. He has a balanced head with melting expression and good pigment, good length of neck, which flow into a good front assembly. Straight legs with good feet, elbows close fitting, level topline, lovely bend of stifle, shown in hard condition for his age, moved well with good drive, just had the edge over the others BPD

Upstanding dog in hard condition, beautiful outline and is a pleasure to go over, masculine head with kind eye and black pigment, ears set on well, lovely reach of neck into well laid back shoulders and good upper arm, straight front with neat feet, elbows close fitting, good spring of rib, level topline, short coupled with well angulated hind quarters, straight hocks, beautifully presented, he moved with a long easy stride, true coming and going, pushed hard for top award.

This dog completely fills your eyes and am sure his title will not be far off. He is so balanced from any angle viewed, masculine head with excellent pigment and pleasing expression, strong muscular neck flowing into good shoulders, good length of upper arm, legs placed well under body standing on tight feet, good depth of chest and ribs well sprung, level topline and tail set, strong over lion, good bend of stifle, well defined second thigh, straight hocks which he used as he moved with drive around the ring with precise movement fore and after, presented in the hardest condition and coat to perfection. A credit to his owner. A pleasure to award BD and later BIS

When he relaxes he has a nice overall outline, pleasing head with nice expression, slightly longer in body, good depth of chest, ribs well sprung, straight front and good feet, good bend of stifle, excellent second thigh, coat of good quality, moved well.

Really liked this dog, beautiful outline and is straight from any angle viewed, masculine head with excellent pigment and melting expression, good reach of neck, lovely lay back of shoulders and correct length of upper arm, legs placed well under body, depth of chest, tight feet, level topline with tail straight of back, well muscled over lion, good bend of stifle, straight hocks, he moved with a long easy stride and drive, is a joy to watch. It was very close between him and overall BD but was pleased to reward him RBD and later RBIS.

So unlucky to meet 1, llovely outline on this boy, he stands four square, balanced head with good depth of muzzle, excellent pigment, lovely reach of neck into dead level topline and tail set. Good layback of shoulders and upper arm or equal length, close fitting elbows, deep in chest, well muscled hind quarters, with good bend of stifle, moved well with good driving action, shown and presented to perfection.

Well up to size, with a large frame to fill. He has a beautiful balanced head with excellent pigment and a melting expression, good depth of muzzle, good reach of neck into well placed shoulders and lovely length of upper arm, straight forelegs with good feet, deep through chest, level topline and tail straight of back, good bend of stifle, lovely straight hocks, moved out steady with good length of stride. Presented in good muscular condition.

Mid gold with a pleasing outline, slightly shorter in leg than winner, masculine balance head with the blackest of pigment good depth of muzzle, strong neck, excels in front construction, good depth of chest, with close fitting elbows, short coupled, well bent stifle with good second though, pleasing topline and tail set, he moved out well with good drive, presented in dense coat and good condition.

Larger framed boy who appeals for his overall balance and body proportions, the kindest of heads enhanced by good pigment and a soft expression, lovely length of neck, into a beautifully made front construction, with straight forelegs, good spring of ribs, short coupled, good bend of stifle with straight hocks, moved out well with length of stride, maintaining his topline on the move.

Loved this boy for his overall balance, presented in a glorious dark gold coat of good quality, masculine head with a soft expression, lovely reach of neck into well placed shoulders, level topline and good tail set, standing of good strong legs and tight feet, depth of chest with ribs well sprung, show in good condition which allowed him to move with ease.

2nd Carter Mrs CA AZTECA FINAL ALLIANCE

Young dog who is maturing well, pleasing outline, lovely kind expression with good pigment, so attentive to handler, standing and on the move, he was more settled on the move in this class, shown in good muscular condition and presented to perfection.

All the girls in this class were in harder than some of the younger girls, a real credit to everyone, just a shame that soundness affected my placings.

10 ½ years young, beautiful balanced outline with great forehand and rear angulation, beautiful feminine head with clear eyes, deep thru chest and spring of ribs, short coupled, she moved with an easy stride and held her topline and tail set whilst moving.

2nd Atha Mrs GM TORSINKI DANCING MELODY JW

Larger framed 9 year who moved well, slightly longer in back than winner, pleasing outline, feminine head with kind eyes, good reach of neck into well made shoulders, excellent front, good depth of chest, well bent stifles, presented in good coat and condition, happy on the move but moved true.

1st Zubair Mrs SM THORNYWAIT SENSATION

7mth old who is so well put together, she stands four square and is straight viewed from any angle, the most gentlest of heads with good pigment, a lovely reach of neck into well placed shoulders and front construction placing her legs under body, level topline and tail straight of back, short coupled with good bend of stifle, she is in hard condition for age and comes into her own on the move, very true coming and going, Am sure she is a Champion in the making. Pleased to award her BPB and later BPIS.

2nd Porter Mrs MA & Miss S SHEARSTONE GRACE AND FAVOUR

Another 7mth who stands four square, slightly bum high at moment, but still pleasing to go over, lovely balanced sweet head, neck of good length, good layback of shoulders with equal length of upper arm, straight legs with neat feet, short coupled, well rounded hind quarters, shown in good dense coat, moved well for age, once settled. Handler needs to be careful when baiting.

The old cliché of always admired from ringside and was not disappointed in going over. Beautiful blonde girl who has such a balanced outline, so pleasing to the eye, lovely head with good pigment and gentle but cheeky expression. Lovely reach of neck flowing into good front assembly, lovely level topline with tail straight of back, good bend of stifle straight hocks, with well developed second thigh, she is in hard condition and it shows as she strides out with ease around the ring. Presentation was good, just need to get the one area of coat to lie flatter over loin. Was delighted to award her RBB

Larger frame girl who is pleasing standing and on the move, such a pretty head and super pigment, lovely reach of neck into shoulders and with good upper arm, very tight feet, close fitting elbows, good bend of stifle, present in mid gold coat of good condition and with good muscle tone.

I have always liked this girl, and was pleased to be able to go over her. An upstanding girl who is so balanced from every angle, good leg length to body ratio, strong but feminine head, kind eyes enhanced with blackest of pigment, ears set on well, strong muscular neck into well placed shoulders and upper arm, tight feet, elbows close to body, depth of chest for age, short coupled and strong over lion, liked her width of stifle, shown in hard condition, when she moves, she holds her topline well and strides out with ease. Was pleased to award her BB and later BOS just loosing out on movement to the boys. She must have a bright future.

Another girl who I have often admired from ringside, she has matured well, a square outline, enhanced with her super topline and forehand construction, kind gentle expression, good reach of neck, straight foreleg, tight feet, good spring of ribs, well rounded hind quarters, with good bend of stifle, presented in hard condition and coat of good quality. Pushed winner hard.

Blonde girl raising 12 mths, presented in profuse thick coat of correct texture, pleasing outline when standing with a wagging tail, lovely feminine head, good front with lovely straight legs and tight feet, lovely topline and tail set held on the move, good width of thigh, excellent muscle tone for age, moved well fore and after with good driving action, held herself well.

 Elegant outline, just slightly longer in back than winner, the most feminine of heads with kind expression, good reach of neck into text book front construction, straight legs with good tight feet, depth of chest, lovely width of thigh, excellent muscle tone all through, moved with an easy long stride using her tail, a very happy showgirl.

Stands four square, with such a balanced outline, nothing overdone, golden dense coat, feminine head with excellent pigment, good length of neck, good length of upper, elbows close fitting, beautiful tight feet, excellent topline and tail set, good bend of stifle with second thigh, shown in hard condition which showed when she moved effortless around the ring.

2nd Philpott Mr M CATCOMBE CHUTNEY

9 ½ year old girl who really comes into her own on the move, strides out with good reach, her overall body is so balanced with a very good topline, pleasing head with an ok front, lovely bend of stifle, her tail ever wagging, shown in hard condition.
