Firstly, I’d like to thank the society for this appointment, my very helpful stewards and all those who exhibited for making my first judging appointment a very memorable one. All exhibits were in great condition.

BEAGLES

Junior Dog or Bitch (3,0)

1. Peach’s Rossut Memory of Pakowhai – 16 month old blanket tri bitch. This girl is so beautifully balanced. Gorgeous head with soft expression. Correct bite. Long neck leading into well laid shoulders and a level topline. Good round bone and well ribbed. Lovely rear angulation and well let down, parallel hocks. Looked a real picture on the move, reaching in front and driving well from behind. True coming and going. A stunning bitch and defiantly one to watch. BOB and delighted to hear that she won Hound Group 1, congratulations!

2. Carman’s Charterwood Ensignia – 15 month old tri male. Masculine boy, well up to size. Lovely earset and correct bite. Good length of neck and decent angulation fore and aft. Nice tight feet and correct tailset. Good movement coming and going. Felt his stop was a little excessive making his head rather coarse, preferred softer head and movement of 1.

1. Precey’s Stormpasture Trump Card over Detrick – 22 month old open tri bitch. Lovely feminine girl. Soft head with dark eyes. Correct bite. Straight forelegs and long neck. Well laid shoulders and good length of upper arm. Level topline with correct tailset. Well ribbed and short coupled. Stifles well bent and parallel hocks. Moved positively around the ring with excellent reach and drive. Sound coming and going. Another quality bitch and pushed hard in the challenge for Best of Breed. RBOB
