I would like to thank the officers and committee for inviting me to judge at their limited show and to my wonderful stewards who did a great job all day. Finally a huge thanks to all the exhibitors who came to the show, I had a lovely quality entry which made for some tough decisions throughout the day.

Dogs

MPD (3)

1. Butcher’s Pelyma Prince Of Thieves. 8 month old fawn dog, slightly bigger than I would like in a puppy. Masculine head with good muzzle and correct bite, well laid shoulders and correct front angles. Good depth of chest, straight front and neat feet. Curvy topline, with good spring of rib for age. Sturdy hind quarters and well set hocks. Sound coming and going but lacked drive on the move. Won the class on his sound movement. 2. Wood’s Ardencote Star Gazer. Rich fawn and white trim dog just 6 months old. Handsome head, good rose ears, strong muzzle and correct bite. Long neck into well laid shoulders, straight front with neat feet, found him a little steeper in pastern than I would like. Flowing topline but not quite as curvy as 1st, but I put this down to him being a raw baby. Sturdy rear quarters with the correct amount of angulation and low hocks. Didn’t get to see him move properly as he wanted to play but from what I could see he has lots of potential. 3. Glasspool & Manner’s Moonlake Miles To Go To Mannerpool.

1. Howgate & Hull’s Palmik Strike It Right. 10 month old dark brindle and white parti dog with a stunning head, strong muzzle and correct bite. Well set rose ears and the darkest of eyes, long elegant neck flowing into well laid shoulders. Correct front angles, straight front and lovely feet, ok pasterns. Good spring of rib for his age and deep brisket, I found him slightly loose at the elbow but this should tighten with age. Curvaceous outline and flowing underline with sturdy well angulated rear quarters covering plenty of ground. Powerful free and easy movement, plenty of drive, fabulous reach and held his topline. Shown in lovely coat and condition. 2. Wayman’s Speymalt See The Stars at Scarletfair. 12 month old fawn and white parti dog with a handsome head, good rose ears and correct bite. Long neck into well laid shouders, good front angles, straight front and neat feet and good pasterns. Curvy throughout his body, flowing into sturdy rear quarters with low set hocks. Free and easy movement coming and going but didn’t have as much drive as 1st today. I have seen him go better. 3. Butcher’s Pelyma Prince Of Thieves.

JD (2,1a)

1. Webber’s Dark Wing. A very elegant yet masculine black dog. Handsome head with good muzzle, dark eyes and rose shape ears. Ok length of neck into good shoulders, correct front angles and good depth of chest. Straight front, neat feat and correct pasterns. Curvy flowing outline and underline, with good length of loin helping him to cover plenty of ground. Well muscled rear quarters with good bend of stifle and sturdy hocks. Moved soundly. 2. Traylor’s Rearsbylea Blue Jacket. Blue and white parti dog. A smaller boy with a good head, rose ears and correct bite. Long elegant neck into good shoulders. Okay front, good pasterns and neat feet. Good depth of brisket but I would prefer more spring of rib, a more compact boy but lots of lovely curves into sturdy rear quarters. Moved ok.

1. Webber’s Dark Wing. 2. Cartwright’s Hawk Moth at Rearsbylea. Red brindle and white parti dog. Handsome head, with rose ears and lovely dark eyes. Okay neck into good shoulders, straight front and neat feet. Good depth of brisket and spring of rib. Curvy boy, but not as long in rib or loin as I would like. Sturdy on the rear with enough bend of stifle and good strong hocks. Sound coming and going but lacked enthusiasm on the move.

1. Howgate & Hull’s Palmik Strike It Right. 2. Neale’s Stormalong Romantic Romeo. Fawn and white brindle dog, nice dog similar type to 1st covering plenty of ground. Masculine head, rose ears and correct bite. Long elegant neck into correct shoulders, good front angles, correct depth of brisket and spring of rib. Not quite as curvy in body as my 1st place. Strong rear quarters with good muscle tone and low set hocks. Sound coming and going and good in profile just not as much drive today as my 1st place. 3. Cartwright’s Hawk Moth at Rearsbylea.

1. Knowles Lelaps Expelliarmus. Lovely brindle and white trim dog. A lot to like about this honest boy. Classy whippet head, good rose ears, correct muzzle and bite. Long elegant neck into well laid shoulders, correct front angles and deep brisket. Straight front, neat feet and good spring of pastern. Good spring of rib, a flowing and curvy topline and good length of loin. Muscled and sturdy rear quarters and low set hocks. Free and easy mover, and sound in profile holding his topline, moved with purpose in his class but lost his drive in the following class. 2. Whitehead, Smith & Mixides Railfield Rainicon in Yialousa JW. Fawn and white trim dog. Handsome head, slightly lighter eye than I would like but full of expression. Good rose ears, strong muzzle and correct bite. Okay neck into good shoulders and correct front angles, straight front and neat feet with good spring of pastern. Good depth of brisket and spring of rib, curvy topline flowing into strong rear quarters and sturdy hocks. Sound mover but kept losing his topline by tucking under himself, spoiling his overall outline today. 3. Candler’s Maidenbower Mardi Gras.

1. Wayman’s Cobyco Chasing Stars at Scarletfair JW. Fawn and white parti dog whom I have always admired and today he did not disappoint. Handsome classy whippet head, correct rose ears, good muzzle and correct bite. Long elegant neck into well laid shoulders, correct front angles and good depth of brisket. Straight front, neat feet and spring of pastern, good spring of rib, with a flowing and curvy outline and good length of loin and covers plenty of ground. Correct muscled rear quarters, and plenty of bend in stifle with sturdy low hocks allowing him to power around the ring. Free and easy movement coming and going, plenty of reach and drive in profile holding his topline. Shown in gleaming coat and condition and handled well. RBD and father to my BD/BPD. 2. Wilton-Clark’s Shalfleet Sir Henry. Fawn brindle and white dog, very similar type to my 1st place. A very close call between these two lovely dogs. Stunning head with alert expression and the darkest of eyes. Correct muzzle and bite and lovely rose ears. Long elegant neck into good shoulders, correct angles and deep brisket. Straight front, neat feet and ok pasterns. Would prefer more spring of rib but a lovely curvy outline, standing over plenty of ground. Plenty of rear angulation, sturdy and well muscled with low set hocks. Moved sound with drive and purpose holding his topline. I felt he needed more body to finish off the picture. 3. Wignall’s Collooney Stay With Me At Starswift.

1. Wayman’s Speymalt Northern Star. I didnt expect my BD to come from this class but this gorgeous dog took my eye the moment he stepped into the ring. 12 month old classical fawn and white parti dog with the most handsome of heads, alert expression and dark eyes. Correct set rose ears, strong muzzle with correct bite. Strong elegant neck, well laid shoulders and correct front angles. Good depth of brisket for age with a straight front, neat feet and good pasterns. Good spring of rib, flowing and curvaceous outline, strong muscled rear quarters with good bend of stifle into sturdy low set hocks. Covered plenty of ground on the stack. Moved free and easy with the most wonderful front movement, he powered around the ring like he owned it, driving from behind and reaching in front holding his topline all the way round. Shown in immaculate coat and condition and handled perfectly. Delighted to award him BD and BPD and later RBIS and RBPIS. Son of my RBD. 2. Knowes Lelaps Expelliarmus. 3. 1. Robertson’s Moonlake Morgan. Fawn and white trim dog of nice type. Masculine head, dark eye and good rose ears. Okay neck into well laid shoulders, good front angles, with enough depth of brisket. Straight front, neat feet and good pasterns. Enough spring of rib, curvy topline and underline, into sturdy rear quarters, would prefer more bend of stifle. Good muscle tone and low set sturdy hocks. Moved soundly.

V D/B (7,2a)

1. Whitehead & Smith’s Stormburst Winter Sparkles for Citycroft JW ShCM. A favourite of mine, 8 year old dark brindle bitch. A beautiful girl and very feminine, pretty head with lovely expression, dark eye and good rose ears. Strong muzzle and correct bite. Long elegant neck into good shoulders, correct front angles and deep brisket. Straight front and neat feet with good pasterns, good spring of rib and a lovely long curvy body. Sturdy well muscled rear quarters for her age and low hocks allowing her to still move with power, drive and reach. Held her topline at all times. A strong contender in my line up, just loved her. BV & BVIS. 2. Wayman’s Scarletfair Silver Star. Pretty fawn brindle bitch, feminine head with dark eye and good rose ears. Good muzzle and correct bite. Nice long neck into good shoulders, correct front angles and good depth of brisket. Straight front, neat feet and good pasterns. Well sprung ribs, and flowing outline. Sturdy rear quarters, would prefer more bend in stifle. Free and easy mover coming and going and held her topline in profile. 3. Clilverd’s Monelli Mississippi

This for me was a championship show quality class with some stunning puppies; I wish them all the best in their show careers. 1. Howgate & Hull’s Palmik En Vogue. 7 month old fawn and white trim bitch. Wow what a stunning puppy, she oozed quality from the tip of her nose to the end of her tail. The prettiest and most classical of whippet heads, dark eyes full of expression, well set rose ears, strong muzzle and correct bite. This sat on top of her long elegant neck into well laid shoulders and correct front angles, perfect depth of brisket for her tender age, straight front and neat feet with good pasterns. Excellent spring of rib for age, and stood over plenty of ground with her curvaceous and flowing topline and underline. Strong and sturdy rear quarters with the perfect amount of angulation for me and finished with her lovely low set hocks which allowed her to power round the ring with reach and drive. Super daisy cutting action and held her topline at all times. A pleasure to watch and could take her home. Shown in immaculate condition and handled to perfecton. Delighted to award her BB and BPB and later BIS & BPIS. 2. Wood’s Ardencote Star Maker. 7 month old rich fawn and white trim bitch. Another lovely puppy of similar type to 1st. Pretty head with dark expressive eyes, good rose ears, strong muzzle and correct bite. Long elegant neck into good shouders, correct front angles and enough depth of brisket. Straight front with neat feet, slightly steeper in pastern than I would like. Good spring of rib for age, flowing and curvy topline, stands covering plenty of ground. Good sturdy rear quarters, perfect bend of stifle for me and strong low hocks. Free and easy mover but like her brother wanted to play so couldn’t see her go at her best! Im sure when she grows up she will be a knock out! 3. Richardson’s Selinko Dream On Lewcher.

1. Wilton-Clark’s Call Me Zara at Shafleet. 8 month old fawn and brindle bitch, full of quality. Gorgeous head and expression with good rose ears, dark eyes, strong muzzle and correct bite. Long flowing neck, well laid shoulders and good front angles. Plenty of depth of brisket for her age, straight front and neat feet with good pasterns. Good spring of rib with a curvy topline but has lost her tuck up underneath. Strong rear quarters and good hocks. Moved soundly with reach and drive in her class but was unsettled in the challenge with her new handler. 2. Wignall’s Starswift Siouxsie Sioux. Lovely fawn and white trim bitch, a little bigger than I would like. Pretty head, dark expressive eyes, good rose ears and a strong muzzle with correct bite. Long neck flowing into well laid shoulders, good front angles and depth of brisket. Straight front and neat feet. Good spring of rib, curvy girl standing over plenty of ground. Good rear quarters with strong and sturdy hocks. Free and easy mover but was moving a little bum high today.

1. Webber’s Diamond Web. I really like this bitch. Fawn brindle and white bitch 16 months, pretty head with a dark eye and alert expression. Good rose ears, strong muzzle and correct bite. Strong long neck into good shoulders, correct front angles and deep brisket. Straight front and neat feet with good pasterns. Good spring of rib with a curvy body, slightly shorter in loin than I would like but flowed into her excellent sturdy rear quarters and low hocks. Free and easy movement but felt she could have been a little more enthusiastic on the move.

1. Courtney’s Courtbirch Miss Moneypenny. Brindle and white trim bitch. Sweet head with alert expression. Good muzzle and correct bite. Long elegant neck into good shoulders. Straight front and neat feet but slightly wider than I would like. Good spring of rib, nice topline and covered enough ground. Sturdy rear quarters. Moved ok.

NB (4, 1a)

1. Williamson’s Windfly Onnerown. Black bitch of lovely size, pretty head with good rose ears and expressive dark eyes. Ok muzzle and correct bite. Lovely long neck into well laid shoulders, good front angles and enough depth of brisket. Straight front with neat feet and good pasterns. Nice spring of rib, her body oozed whippet curves, good rear angualtion but was lacking some muscle tone for me, causing her to be a little weak at the 2nd thigh. Free and easy mover but was not driving from behind. 2. Courtney’s Starlight Betty. 6 year old fawn bitch, pretty head, with dark eyes and good jaws. Long neck into good shoulders, okay front angles with deep brisket but stood a little too wide for me in front. Good feet and pasterns, good spring of rib and has curves in the right places. Ok rear quarters, would prefer more bend of stifle myself. Sturdy low hocks and moved well round the ring for her age. 3. Pitcher’s Willakye Mayfly

1. Wilton-Clark’s Shafleet A Touch Of Class. Striking red brindle and white trim bitch who is full of curves. Another beautiful head from this kennel. Darkest of eyes full of expression, good rose ears, strong muzzle and correct bite. Long elegant neck, well laid shoulders, deep brisket and correct front angles. Straight front and neat feet with good pasterns. Good spring of rib for her age, beautiful curvy outline into strong and sturdy rear quarters. I found her slightly longer in 2nd thigh but none the less full of power with low set hocks. Moved free and easy with beautiful profile movement holding her topline. Shown in gleaming coat and condition. RBB. 2. Pitcher’s Willakyme Destiny’s Promise. Lovely white and brindle parti bitch, full of quality. Pretty head with dark eye, good rose ears and muzzle with correct bite. Long neck into good shoulders and front angles. Lacking a little depth for me but this could be due to maturity. Straight front and neat feet with good pasterns and good spring of rib. Covered enough ground and has a curvy flowing topline into sturdy rear quarters. Moved free and easy and held her topline. Splitting hairs between 1st and 2nd. 3. Robertson’s Moonlake Make A Wish.

1. Leathart’s Molvine Zoe. This bitch is a guilty pleasure of mine. I really do just love her. Elegant white and fawn parti bitch, beautiful head and expression, strong muzzle and correct bite and lovely rose ears. Long neck into well laid shoulders and correct front angles. Enough depth of brisket, straight front and neat feet with good pasterns. Good spring of rib and long flowing curvy outline covering plenty of ground. Sturdy and strong rear quarters with good muscle tone and low hocks. I know this bitch can move but was disappointed on the day as she didn’t go her best. I put it down to needing a bigger ring to get into her stride. Very sound none the less and a strong competitor in the line up.

1. Whitehead, Smith & Mixides Citycroft Supanova JW. A lovely fawn brindle and white parti bitch. Full of quality, pretty head with dark eye full of expression, strong muzzle and correct bite with good rose ears. Long neck into super shoulders and correct front angles, good depth of brisket and straight front with neat feet and pasterns. Good spring of rib, long curvy outline and tuckup. Strong well muscled rear quarters and sturdy hocks. Moves free and easy with drive but find her at times to move bum high spoiling her lovely topline.

1. Courtney’s Spyanfly Saucy Socks at Courtbirch. Fawn brindle and white trim bitch with a pretty head, dark eye full of expression. Good rose ear, strong muzzle and correct bite. Long elegant neck into good shoulders, with good front angles. Good depth of brisket, straight front and neat feet with good pasterns. Enough spring in rib, curvy topline with good length in loin and covers plenty of ground, a little steep at the croop for me. Sturdy rear quarters, with good muscle tone and good hocks. Moved very sound coming and going and held her topline in profile. A little upset in the challenge by the cold, which spoilt her outline. 2. Wayman’s Cornstalk Magic Star of Scarletfair. Pretty fawn bitch, sweet head with dark eye and lovely expression. Good rose ear, okay muzzle and correct bite. Good neck into well laid shoulders, good front angles and good depth of brisket. Straight front and neat feet. Good spring of rib but not as long in body as I would like and not quite as curvy as 1st, but still has a lovely outline. I would prefer more bend in stifle but has sturdy rear quarters and low hocks. Moved soundly. 3. Wignall’s Starswift Sunbeam.

1. Leatharts Ringmore Fair Rosamund. Sweet fawn bitch that is ultra feminine with a lovely head full of expression. Good rose ears, okay muzzle and correct bite. Long neck into well laid shoulders, good front angles and enough depth of brisket. Straight front with neat feet, good pasterns and enough spring of rib. Her body is full of curves, flowing right to the end of her tail. Slightly lacking in muscle on the rear but still sturdy with low hocks. Moves free and easy, slightly closer behind than I would like but still goes well for her age. 2. Williamson’s Windfly Onnerown. 3. Williamson’s Windly Over The Rainbow.
