Irish red and White Setters.

Thank you to the committee and the officers of the club for the honour of judging at your show, thanks also go to the exhibitors for allowing me to go over their lovely dogs.

J(4,1). 1, Lamb’s Casafelice Plezzana, mature for age with a lot to like, strong well proportioned head, pleasing dark eye, correct ear set, neck strong leading into level top line ending in correct tail set. Substantial fore chest and rib cage giving superb front assembly with good angulations, nice tight strong rear thigh which allowed him to drive with purpose around the ring, good angulations to rear, overall condition was very good, handler presented well. RBOB. 2, Taylor’s Laoirebay Midnight Drifter, 9 month old raw pup with lots of life and energy, lovely head with lots of expression, strong in shoulder leading to level top line, correct tail set, quality full chest for age, good angles to front and rear, well presented, moved with vigour and oomph albeit a bit wobbly due to age. BPIB. PG(1), 1, Mallinson’s Courtdown Fame and Fortune, Nice young dog with a handsome head with plenty of expression, lovely dark eye, good lay of shoulder leading into level top line and correct tail set, plenty of fore chest  showing good rib, front and rear angulation of a good standard, coat in good condition presented well. O(1), 1, Lamb’s SH CH/IR SH CH Casafelice Montadale JW, Very mature dog, strong in profile, good head proportions nice dark eye, correct ear set, muscular neck leading to good lay of shoulder and level top line with tail set correct. Chest, rib, tuck up and loin ample to give overall good definition to outline, front quarters of good type with width and angle, rear quarters strong, sound and angled well to give clear crisp stretched out strides with power and purpose making short work of the ring. Coat colour and presentation very good, shown off to his best by the handler. BOB. Graham Hart
