Beagle Graduate

1: Bennett’s Tacomadream Duchess Tri 7½ month bitch. Pleasing head and expression, dark eye. Neck of good length, well laid shoulders with front good, elbows close fitting. Topline strong, with good depth to body and tail set on well. Hindquarters well-muscled with good bend of stifle. Tightly knuckled feet. Movement clean and parallel.

1: Hill’s Dapperdawg Island Mist R/W bitch 6 years. So feminine with good head qualities and expression with beautiful dark eyes and good pigmentation. Lovely elegant neck with slight arch. Excellent shoulders, elbows and topline. Ribbing deep and extending well back, Strong quarters with good bend to stifle with required firm hocks. Feet tight and knuckled up. Gait free and reaching and parallel. BOB

1: McGregor’s Claela Reaumur Sh CM Tri 3 year old dog, showing balance with good texture to coat. Head well shaped with deep lip, eyes large and dark. Ears low set, folding and of good length. Neck strong of good length. Shoulders and elbows clean and well off for bone. Good depth to chest, ribs rounded and reaching well back. Topline strong with desired rise over the loin. Hindquarters muscled and used to advantage in the move, good feet, gait free and parallel. BOB

1: Feetham’s Kimbleholme Fairydust Tri 2 yr old bitch. Excels in breed type. Beautiful head piece with dark eyes, kind expression good depth of lip. Leathers soft, curling and of good length. Neck long and arched shoulders well-laid with close fitting elbows. Excellent angulation both fore and aft. Prominent prosternum, ribs well rounded and long. Strong topline, rear quarters well-muscled with short hocks, correct tailset. Good feet with excellent bone throughout. Gait parallel covering the ground economically showing both reach and drive. BOB & Group 3

Shoulders correct ,elbows well set with strong pasterns. Body deep and broad, ribs well sprung, rear well-muscled with distinctive second thigh. Good knuckled up feet. Movement true covering the ground effortlessly.

Lovely head and eye, ears small and fine, Eyes oval and dark, Muscular neck of length, Front clean and correct with well set elbows and strong pasterns. Good depth of chest with excellent ribbing. Rear strong well-muscled with easily definable second thigh, good bend of stifle and hocks. Lovely feet well arched. Movement free covering the ground with ease.

1: Armstrong & McFarlane Cornstalk Da Vinci. Litter brother of the previous class winner and the same comments apply they are so similar!! So pleased they were in different classes would not like to have to choose between these two lovely boys. I am sure they both have interesting futures!

2: Sasilasy Daisy Dares You at Zenobia

1: Little’s Zenobia Moon Melody at Sasilasy Sh CM. 8½ year old bitch. My notes say easy winner, so much to like! Couldn’t believe the age of this girl, super feminine with good head qualities eyes and ears, long arched neck, lovely shoulders, forequarters and pasterns correct, elbows well placed. Body deep and broad, good arch over loin, well sprung ribs. Hindquarters strong, second thigh well developed, good bend of stifle and hocks well let down. Lovely feet stands four square. Movement powerful and true both coming and going. BOB, Group 2 & BV

1: McKinlay’s Azali Jamaa Azizi Tiberius (Imp Deu) 14 month D, filled my eye as he came into the ring. Correct head with good eyes, ears and strong jaw, Neck strong and long, Shoulders good, front strong and straight, elbows close with deep chest well sprung ribs. Strong topline with well-muscled rear with good angulation and correct hocks, standing on good feet. Gait powerful and free, pushed hard, just lost out on maturity.

1: Brien & Young’s Imanje Msitu Mashamba bitch almost 2½ years. Won this class easily, well made with good breed characteristics, would prefer her just one size bigger. My notes when asked to move went away and back side on so true gait couldn’t be truly assessed which I found very disappointing.

1: Brien & Young’s Jengachenga Bold As Brass for Imanje JW Sh CM 6 year old bitch oozed breed type, with not a thing out of place, eye catching! Correct head qualities with a lovely expression from the darkest of eyes. Good earset and strong jaw. Neck of good shape and length. Clean, muscular shoulders with close elbows, chest deep and excellent ribbing. Hindquarters well-muscled with well-turned stifle, good hocks. Standing four square on compact feet. Well off for bone throughout. Gait straight free and true both coming and going BOB & Group 1

1: Jardine’s Woodella Hot Rod D just 12 months. Good head with good eye and ear set, Neck of good length and crested. Good lay of shoulder with correct elbows, legs straight, strong straight pasterns. Ribs well sprung with deep brisket. Hindquarters well-muscled with correct hocks. Feet compact and best in the class. Good curl to tail. BOB

1: Bell’s Ryazan Phoenix D nearly 4, Lovely masculine head with dark eyes and good ears. Strong jaw with good dentition. Neck nicely arched leading to clean well laid shoulders. Forelegs straight and clean, correct elbows with strong sloping pasterns. Chest deep with good width and length to ribbing, correct tuck up under his immaculate coat. Hindquarters strong with well-developed long second thigh. Excellent feet front and back. Moved out well covering the ground effortlessly. BOB & Group 4

1: Heap’s Leoch Juniper of Fintalloch B of 18 months, Smaller mould than her litter brother, excellent breed type. Lovely feminine head, clear eye of good shape. Lovely arch to neck, strong front assembly, ribs carried well back with great depth and width. Rear quarters well developed with strong feet. Covers the ground with ease, won the class on her movement. BOB

1: Gulliuley Haliston Didier Sh CM D of 21 months. Compact and well-balanced boy with correct head qualities, large dark eyes, ears low set and strong jaw. Neck long and leading to clean shoulders, elbow front fitting neatly into crook. Good depth to chest, with long rounded ribbing. Hindquarters powerful and used to advantage on the move. Standing four square on good feet. Closed decision but won class on parallel hind movement. BOB

Level topline with required slight slope down from croup. Ribs well sprung and deep. Hindquarters stong, well-muscled and used to advantage on the move covers the ground efficiently.

1: Feetham’s Drawdell’s Mystic Meg at Kimbleholme (Basset Hound) Tri Nearly 7 months and what a little beauty, so much to like. Feminine head piece dark eye, well set leathers, long arched neck leading to correct shoulders with good forward angulation. Sternum still developing, needing time to drop into her crook. Ribs carried well back deep and well rounded. Good tailset. Hindquarters muscled up with correct 90° angulations. Tight, well knuckled feet. Moved out with purpose and shown to perfection.(Basset Hound) BP & Puppy Group 1

Preferred the ribs on winner of the previous class in the challenge for BP.
