Thank you to the committee for a welcoming and well run show. Huge thanks for such a lovely entry and to all who travelled from near and far to exhibit. Almost all had good mouths, and loose eyes were not in evidence. Temperaments were good but movement on quite a few could have been better.
MPD (7/2) 1. Donnelleys Primus Keeper. Rich fawn boy 9 months old with the blackest mask and darkest eyes. Correct mouth on masculine head, good stop and drop of lip. Strong neck and correct front angulation, having a filled front and deep chest. Flat bone on solid straight legs, good tuck up, top line and rise over the loin. Will let down at the back as he grows on, and definitely be one to watch. Moved out well. BPD 2. MacKenzies Carsan Arianell 7 month blue boy, a little finer in head, with correct mouth, reachy neck and solid well conditioned body. Good front and rear angulation, just a little high at the rear and steeper in croup than 1. Nice tight feet and moved well. 3. Waltons Ravendane Rock or Bust.
PD (2) 1. Brumptons Dornoir Ptolemy for Doquest, smartly marked 6 month harly having the cleanest undergrounding and a pleasing all over body shape, just falling away at the croup. A correct mouth, good strong jaw and square muzzle, ears set high and crested neck flowing into smooth withers. Needs to tighten up his rear movement. 2. Harveys Clannalba Sonnache Aon, lovely long neck on this big 9 month blue lad. Broader in top skull than 1 with less drop of lip. Balanced in the stand with good angles, and shown in lovely condition.
JD (5/1) 1. Donnellys Primus Breakin News Very showy 16 month handsome fawn with so much to like. Good head planes and dark eye, strong jaw with correct mouth, well used ears and keen expression set off by a crested, elegant, neck. Plenty of bone on straight legs, good breadth and depth in chest with adequate angles, muscled rear quarters and good tailset, producing a balanced outline. Moved around the ring with drive, just a little loose at elbows. 2. Booths Roucandane One in a Minion. Another handsome big boned black masked fawn of 15 months. Gentle dark eyes and pleasing expression on a masculine head, having correct scissor bite and drop of lip. Ears nicely set but could be used more. Deep in brisket with very good shoulders and length of leg. Lovely smooth outline just needs to strengthen up his back movement. 3. Martins Thebyreblue True Valour at Keishant.
YD(2) 1. Liddells Clonallans Wind Yer Neck In In Gretadane . Super shape on this tall but balanced golden 21 month fawn. Good length of foreface, dentition and ear set with superb length of neck, flowing into the smoothest withers and best lay of shoulders. Great breadth, width and depth of forequarters but needs to watch his topline when setting up into the stand. Good rise over the loin, well turned stifle and muscular rear. Moved well around the ring. 2. Burns Damarkann Laird of the Glen boldly marked 2 yr old harly with clear white underground. Neat head with good earset and showy neck. Would like more forechest, but deep in ribs and good tuck up. Steady movement.
PGD (7/3) 1.Stanifords Kiajak Miami Beach at Stephandon Pleasing head and elegant long neck on this 2 yr old blue lad. Balanced throughout with equal angles fore and aft, having filled front and deep brisket, straight flat bone and the tightest feet. A steady personality and moved out smoothly. 2. LD (7/2) 1. Stevens & Squires Carranisle Masked Monsieur at Tabordane. Exuding masculinity this powerfully built yet elegant 3 yr old rich fawn, black masked boy had a correct scissor bite, strong jawline, a long foreface, dark eye and head narrow throughout. Everything flowing smoothly, beautiful lines from the tip of his nose to his tail. Crested long neck, super lay of shoulder, unwrinkled withers, pleasing topline and rise over the loin. Muscled hindquarters with balanced turn of stifle allowed this impressive boy to glide comfortably around the ring, gaining the DCC 2. McLellans Zefather’s Sir Brian at Anadain Aonther fabulous fawn boy having many of the qualities of my DCC. A stunning headpiece and flowing lines, superb body shape with sprung ribs and great depth of brisket. Shorter in the leg than 1 but stood well for me and powered around the ring. 3. Harveys Clannalba Airdaich An Inbhe
OD (5/2) 1. Webb & Morgan Evans Ch.Vanmore Stop and Stare at Castleon. Re reading my critique of this now 3 year old showy fawn boy, from when I awarded him BPD & BPIB in 2014, I can only repeat… ‘His name said it all as this showy fawn lad, with excellent conformation, held his neat head high on the longest of necks . Having a correct mouth, dark mask and tight feet he displayed the happiest temperament as he wagged his tail while covering the ground with the smoothest movement’. I will add that he has matured beautifully and as pleasing today, just lost out to a more masculine head. RDCC 2. Harveys Ch. Kirkane Commander at Clannalba Honest fawn boy of 7 years with a masculine head, dark eye, lovely balanced outline, having breadth and depth. Smooth and steady on the move and lovely to go over. 3. Booths Ravendane Flash Gordon for Roucandane
MPB (4/3) 1. Morgans Samdice in Your Honor The sweetest expression on this 7 month fawn baby girl with a narrow head throughout, super black mask, dark eyes and wrinkled forehead. Correct scissor bite and pleasing drop of lip, ears set high and a long crested neck. Full of confidence, having a lovely shape in the stand with balanced angulation and steady on the move, just needs to broaden as she matures. BPB & BPIB Was happy and bright in the puppy group being pulled out to the last 8.
PB (3/3)
JB (10/5) 1. Hooker Lockey & Armours Garsak Adaption. At just 16 months old this fawn black masked stunner entered the ring and made it her own. Expressive wrinkle on the most charismatic head, held high by a muscular yet feminine crested neck. Lines flowing seamlessly into a superb all over shape, her movement smooth with elbows tucked under, no pinning or plaiting from this lovely specimen. Power, elegance and femininity personified, demanding the BCC and BOB 2. Donnellys Garsak City of Angels at Primus Litter sister to 1, equally as gorgeous with many similar attributes and a pleasure to go over. RBCC and a great future ahead without a doubt. What a super class with the 3rd litter sister standing in line. 3. Stevens & Squires Garsak Season of the Witch at Tabordane
YB (4/1) 1.Donnelys Primus Timeless Style. Super dark eyes, long foreface, correct bite and good head planes on this dark masked 16 month fawn. Strong topline on the move. 2. Morgan-Evans Vanmore American Express 20 month old beautifully marked brindle, very elegant in appearance, her long neck supporting a classic headpiece. McGills Clannalba Mist Os Glencoe for Karnduke 4 ys old blue, finer in body and having less front angulation than 1.
