I would like to thank the officers and committee for the invitation to judge at this well run show. I had some very lovely dogs to judge, all a real credit to their owners and some very close decisions to be made. I must thank my stewards who kept the ring in good order for me. Delighted to watch my Pointer BOB, go onto win the ultimate prize of BIS – well done

Well grown 8 month old black dog, just right for overall balance at this age. He has substance and strength but not overdone. Pleasing head, with good width to backskull, length to the foreface and dark eye. He has a good length of leg, limbs are well boned with tight feet. Just needing to mature and drop through the body. Moving out soundly and with confidence

Loved this 15 month old black bitch, she has so much appeal. Having all the correct attributes, liked her type and balance. When stood she is smart and fit for function, with no excess weight and in good muscle tone. She is feminine all through with the required substance. An appealing head, with a kind and intelligent expression, her clean strong neck flows well into her well placed shoulders, good depth and spring to the ribcage with a well developed forechest. Her topline is firm when stood and on the move. Strength over the loin, with a good width of thigh and well bent stifle. Well used otter tail. On the move she is positive and true - BOB

14 month old yellow dog, placed 3rd in Junior. Liked his overall shape and size when stood, he has strength throughout and is short coupled. He has a balanced head, with such a kind and gentle expression. Deep ribs and well boned limbs. Not really giving his all on the move today

Lots to like about this 3 year old yellow dog. He has a real presence about him and never stopped showing. He is well balanced in profile when stood, with a good length of leg coupled with a lovely deep barrel rib. Handsome head, with well placed and used ears, strong clean neck, firm topline, liked his width of thigh and well bent stifles. Well set on otter tail, carried fractionally higher on the move. He is at one with his handler on the move, which showed good drive, not quite as precise in front as the junior bitch so had to settle for RBOB today

7 month old dog, taking it all in his stride and showing himself off with confidence. He has a balanced head, with good length, eye still to darken, but he has an alert and intelligent expression. Impressed with this youngster as he is well developed through the body, with good depth and spring of rib. He has well boned limbs, with a moderate bend of stifle. Moving out well

Feminine 3 year old bitch, gives the impression of being fit and active. She has a pleasing head shape, with good length to the foreface and such a gentle expression. A good length of neck with the slight arch. Moderately boned with enough depth, firm topline. Moving with drive and freely

This 9 year old dog presents an imposing outline and commands attention. Found him to be so well balanced in outline, with the required substance and strength through the body. He certainly belies his age, a true ambassador for the breed. He has a lovely elongated head, dark eye with a kind expression, topline flowing beautifully from nose to tail. Chest well let down with good width. Well boned limbs onto tight feet. Shown in good condition and coat. Moving with ease and true. BOB, delighted to see him win Gp 4

A very shapely 7 month old o/w bitch. Very much a baby and needing to drop into herself, but you can see her curvy outline and she is oh so feminine. Lovely head piece with plenty of work in it, good stop and eyes darkening nicely. Her neck is of a good length and flows well into her firm topline. She has nicely angulated hindquarters and super tight feet. Showing good drive on the move - BP

13 month old o/w bitch, liking the symmetry of this young bitch, she has elegance yet substance. She has a well proportioned head and kind expression. Her long neck flows cleanly into her topline, she has enough depth for her age, Limbs show good oval bone, hindquarters are well angulated. A happy and driving movement

What a lovely shape this 2 year old dog has, such a balanced and curvy outline when stood. Thought him to be sturdy and workmanlike. Masculine head and well proportioned. Long and muscular neck, chest well let down, strong oval boned limbs, firm topline with a well set on tail. His hindquarters are well muscled. Today seeming to be a little unsure of the noisy hall on the move, a true, free and driving mover - RBOB

What a cracker and a showman this 19 month old B&W dog is. This young dog caught my eye, his lines are graceful, yet he has substance, he is masculine yet a touch of elegance. His outline when stood shows to be shapely and clean. He has a well balanced head, with good length to the foreface, super dark eye, strong muscular neck flowing into a firm topline, brisket down to the elbow and ribs well sprung, strong oval bone, tight feet. Ample width of quarters which has firm musculature. A pleasure to watch on the move, flowing freely and driving from the rear – BOB, delighted to watch him go onto take Gp1 and then BIS

What a little poppet, this 9 month old black Flatcoated Retriever bitch is. She showed her socks off, but with that hint of naughtiness! For her age she is so well balanced when stood in profile. Feminine all through and found her to have clean lines and full of confidence. Having the one piece head and dark eye, Good length of neck into well placed shoulders, she has enough depth for her age. Holding a lovely firm topline both standing and on the move. Well developed hindquarters. Moving out true - BP

Smart 17 month old Welsh Springer Spaniel bitch, looked a picture when stacked. She has the most lovely feminine head, with the typical welshie kind expression, clean through the neck, firm topline, she has enough depth and adequate bone, nicely presented. Moving out well in profile

This young Weimaraner bitch caught my eye at only 19 months old, she has a shapely silhouette. Thought her to be elegant and graceful but also sturdy and workmanlike. She is just right for size and balance. Having a pleasing head, which is well proportioned, and aristocratic. A lovely flow from nose to tail. Good depth to the ribcage, and carried well back. Well developed hindquarters with a good bend of stifle. Moving with power reach and drive being at one with her handler - RBOB

Showing that age is just a number, this 7 year old Lagotto pulled out all the stops to win this BAVNSC. This dog looked a picture on the stack, so balanced with a typical outline and sound construction. He has the correct body ratio, with good length of leg, his head is masculine with a dark eye toning well with coat colour. Strong neck, compact body, well bent stifles. Coat showed good woolly curls. Moving around the ring showing good drive and a true action - BAVNSC

This 19 month old Siberian Husky bitch really stood out, she has real class and style, combined with being workmanlike, fit and active. Liked her for her body proportions, sound construction and keen expression. She has a well proportioned head, feminine all through, good depth through the body, firm and strong level topline, stifles showing a good bend. In good coat and condition. Lovely to watch on the move, correct footfall and at one with her handler – Best of Stakes Winner

On the stack liked her overall balance and body lines. She has an appealing head with a good flat and square skull and well proportioned to foreface. Her body has depth and ribs carried well back. Covering the ground well
