Thank you to the committee for inviting be to judge at such a friendly and well run show. I’ve always thought that Wales has some of the best quality dogs and today proved so.

AVNSC Working Open (1) 1. Georges Dasval Valeria Messalina Giant Schnauzer bitch of 2.5 years. Beautifully presented in gleaming condition this black coated girl had a super head type and alert expression. Correct mouth and the darkest oval eyes, neat well used ears and crested clean neck. Good straight front legs, elbows neatly tucked in. Well proportioned in the stand and muscled throughout to produce strong driving movement. BAVNSCW & WG2

AV Working Puppy (2/1) 1. Forseys Muzoku Baby I’m A Star. Alaskan Malamute, 10 month bitch with plenty of bone and good conformation. Super head piece with pleasing masking, dark brown eyes, alert ears and broad muzzle with correct bite. Good topline and tight feet with well marked dense coat. BAVWP & WPG3

AV Working Veteran (2) 1.Pipers Swnydwr Supa Troopa Dobermann. 8yr old gleaming coated black bitch, very showy and smart. A neat wedge head and alert expression. Clean muscled neck, filled front and correctly proportioned torso with neat tuck up. A good mover, muscled condition throughout and could still win in her breed classes. BAVWV 2.Williams Kernow Melody in Tinland Leonberger. Another girl belying her 8.5 years. Nice broad skull and muzzle, good shape throughout with dense coat and well furnished legs. Moving smoothly around the ring.

Belgian Shepherd Dog (Groenendael) Open (4) How wonderful to see 3 generations in the ring together. A credit to their breeder. 1.Morris’s Cairbar Dream Weaver. At just 6 months, and his first show, this beautiful example of the breed stood and moved as if he had been born in the show ring. A very pretty head with clear dark eyes and attentive expression. Overall shape very balanced with deep chest and gentle tuck, his top line strong and slightly sloping at the rear. Shetland Sheepdog Graduate (3) 1. Haensels Sherkarl Look At Me Now. Another impressive 10 month puppy bitch with dark almond eyes and button nose, set off by her creamy face. Border Collie Graduate (1) 1. Carters Cartezz It’s About That Time Pleasing 3 yr old black & white dog, broad headed and short in foreface with good stop and expressive eyes. Moved out smoothly but could have used his ears more.

Border Collie Open (1) 1. Warrnes Elthea Great Expectations. 7 yr old chocolate and white bitch belying her age having such spritely movement. Good strong teeth and correct bite, brown eyes and good stop. Muscled neck and torso with honest movement. BOB

Collie (Smooth) Open (4/2) 1. Kinseys Sturtmoor Kurious Kadence. A beautifully balanced skull and foreface on this 2 yr old elegant bitch having the sweetest expression and correct dentition. Good straight bone, good depth of chest and tuck and rise over the loin. Drove out smoothly for BOB 2. Flowers Breckamore Butterfingers Another nice example of the breed in this 7 month puppy bitch. Nothing can be hidden, having pretty wedge head good ear set and crested neck. BPIB

Collie (Rough) Open (2) 1. Morey & Aikmans Welanga Bush Tucker With Brookynut ShCM. 4yr old handsome tricolour dog having a smart wedge shaped head and blunt muzzle. Good mouth, narrow long foreface and well used, alert ears. Nicely muscled throughout under his dense coat and moved out smoothly. BOB 2. Moreys Brookynut Stormy Affair 10 month puppy bitch. Rich red sable coat with kind alert eyes and sweet expression, totally at one with her handler. Super throughout and very confident on the move. BPIB & PPG4

Swedish Valhund Open(2/1) 1. Prices Starvon You Got It At Coningsbear ShCM. Sturdy 3 yr old boy with charming wedge like head and keen expression, being compact in body, muscled and proportionally correct. Good angles fore & aft with strong topline held on the move. A real character. BOB

Welsh Corgi (Pembroke) Graduate (4/2) 1.Jones Ceranda Surf’s Up. 2.5 yr old golden sable boy, having happy expression on fox like head, well held ears, dark eyes and correct mouth. Strong, deep and long in construction, keeping topline on the move. BOB 2. Bales Balletcor Jewel From Gemini. Pretty 9 month old bitch with round gleaming dark eyes in neat head, good bite and expressive pert ears. Striking markings on head and coat. Good outline in the stand and determined on the move BPIB

Welsh Corgi (Cardigan) Open (3/1) 1. Williams & James’s Bwthyn Headliner JW ShCM. When a dog is right it’s right and this 2yr old striking brindle boy had all the attributes of his breed with added showmanship. Every time my eyes were drawn to him his ears were alert and eyes glued on his handler. Plenty of bone on straight sturdy legs, great angles with good depth and sprung ribs, strong topline, kept on the move, muscled thighs and foxy tail trailing behind. Norwegian Buhund Open Dog (3/2) 1. Lamberts Sturtmoor Destiny’s Day. Although standing alone this lightly built 3 yr old black boy, with dark eyes, good mouth and keen expression, was a credit to his breeder and handler. Compact and balanced with tail curled over his back he presented a very pleasing picture. BOS

Norwegian Buhund Open Bitch (4/3) 1. Lamberts Sturtmoor’s Eezee Luvva. The neatest wheaten coated 6 month puppy bitch, totally un-phased by the show ring, paraded with her head and tail held high. Sweet faced with dark eyes and inquisitive expression, ears erect. Short coupled body, with depth and yet light in overall appearance with loads of promise. BOB, & PG3 PPG2

German Shepherd Dog Graduate (3) 1. Thomas’s Simonite Lightning Bolt. Handsome steady 2 yr old dog having clean wedge head and strong muzzle. Kind expression, good dentition, and well used ears. Good fore and aft angulation, good topline, kept well on the move, to gently sloping croup. Nothing exaggerated and very sound on the move. 2. Stephens Brightmeadow Fields Of Gold. Quite stunning 9 month puppy bitch who just kept on showing. Her gleaming golden coat covered the best of conformation, having breadth and depth, a superb topline and great angles. Loved her head and attitude and had to award her BPIB and PPG1. 3. Richards Hannena Bently

German Shepherd Dog Open (2) 1. Stephens Strco Best Mate At Brightmeadow. 2 yr old male similar in colouring to the puppy bitch in the previous class and equally as impressive. Exuded masculinity and strength, having a nicely proportioned head, strong jaw and perfect dentition. Dark almond shaped eyes and alert ears added to the picture, with correct lay of shoulder and muscular neck flowing into a firm straight back. AVNSC Pastoral Graduate (2/1) Piatkowskas Samhaven Edition De Luxe. Samoyed 9 month boy having an inquisitive expression super dark eyes and a good mouth. Well used ears on powerful looking head with arched neck looking balanced in the stand. Healthy profuse white coat with tail carried well. Plenty of bone on good straight legs producing honest movement coming and going. BAVNSCPP
