Shetland Sheepdog Club Of North Wales
The Shetland Sheepdog Club Of North Wales
1st April 2017
I would like to Thank the committee for inviting me to judge at this club show, I had a very enjoyable day with some lovely examples of the breed. On the whole my overall picture was of beautifully groomed & presented dogs in clean condition, all feet where well padded & tight, I found only one bad bite & I didn’t see any tails being carried to high as this does spoil the outline on the move. Movement generally for the size of the hall was very good.
Minor Puppy Dog 4-1
1st Mottram’s; Lavika Little Gem At Lochkaren, just 6 months, Lovely wedge head with good ear set & carriage, almond eye, defined stop. Correct amount of neck with well-placed shoulders, adequate depth of chest for his age & rib, nicely sloping croup with good tail set, corresponding rear angulation, well presented & schooled. Steady on move.
2nd Spencer & Edwards; Castlerose Northern Soul, slightly finer in body at this stage than 1st, but everything is in the right place.
3rd Wooley’s; Pepperhill In The Moment

Very smooth on the move with ground covering movement. BPD & When it came to Puppy Challenge this young boy was just so balanced both on the move & in profile, Lovely harsh coat with good mane & feathering. BPIS
