Crufts 2018 Eurasiers

Thank you for such a lovely entry in quality and quantity. I had many excellent dogs to assess. Open dog was spectacular. As whole, I feel the breed is gaining more uniformity as it progresses in the UK. There were a few stifles that could have been more angulated but front assemblies were good on the whole. There are still some heads which are heavy with very defined stops which is not what the standard calls for. Likewise, some eye sets are not as oblique as they could be. A few dogs were lower stationed than for preference. I know coat can obscure leg length, but it is obvious when you go over them and again on the move if the leg length is too short.

It was a shame we were short for time as I would have liked to spend a little more time with the dogs; my notes were accordingly shorter than I would prefer. Perhaps show management might think about starting some breeds earlier to make sure the non CC breeds, who pay the same entry fees, get the same benefits.

Lighter built youngster than 1 with the frame still to fill in. Good head but still developing. Excellent tail set. Good profile and again very sound in all directions

Still maturing and needs to gain overall balance and to body up.

Very attractive well presented male. Masculine head piece. Good overall proportions. Preferred tail set of 1.

A lovely mature male. With a masculine head and enough muzzle with broad back skull. Good for size. Carrying a thick coat which did not detract from his profile. Well carried tail. An old favourite of mine but today he moved erratically and proved a challenge for his owner. However his breed type is lovely as are his proportions. Lovely style of head.

Slighty taller than the two above. For me, the head could be broader and the very waggy tail a little less tight. Excellent muscle tone and moving accordingly. Looked to enjoy her time in the ring!

Although she looked a little over awed by the proceedings, this is a quality bitch. Very attractive feminine head and well placed ears. Good overall proportions and good topline, not something that can be said for all the bitches today.

Lovely colour on this girl, but again, still very much a puppy and lots to come on, including head needing to break. Not quite there yet.

Not a big girl but an altogether an attractive package. Head is feminine but in no way fine, with enough muzzle to balance the back skull. Lovely overall proportions with enough leg length. Moving out with ease but front could be more precise.

Attractive Black girl, covering ground so well on the move. Good in many departments and very typical.
