Folkestone Hythe & District Canine Society

Firstly, I would like to thank the committee of Folkestone Hythe and District Canine Society for the judging appointment. I enjoyed my day. (Though the ring was outside it could have done to be a bit bigger for judging the movement of the huskies. Also the small amount of grit caused some of the dog’s issues when moving). It would have been nicer to have a slightly larger ring to assess the movement of this breed. Thank you also to everyone who entered and attended on the day. 

Junior (5/2) 

1 Browns Deshka’s Cassiar Dyr For Polarcreek. 13 months G/W bitch. Nice feminine, foxy head with alert ears. Lovely chest and laid back shoulders. Correct proportions with nice length of leg. Well set tail. On the move was effortless and graceful with good reach and drive. A truly beautiful young bitch with bags of potential. BOB, Working Group 4. 

2 Bowden & Hughes Arctictreks B’witched At Staggan 14 months G/W bitch. Nice oblique eyes and well set ears, would prefer slightly more stop. Well-constructed with correct angulations and proportions. Shame she left her coat at home. Her movement improved as the class progressed but was not as good as 1. A little timid and lacking confidence on the day. 

3 Bowden & Hughes Nordicface Aurora Yukon At Staggan 12 months b/w dog. Happy boy with masculine yet young looking head, would prefer slightly less stop. Ears set a little wide and could be a little taller. Shoulders a little up right which translated into lack of reach on the move. Clean out and back. Lovely double coat.

1 Bowden & Hughes Arcticskies The Wow Factor At Staggan 3 years g/w dog. Happy boy with nice head with beautiful brown oblique eyes, correct stop and ear set. Heavier in appearance than other exhibits on day, he had nice angulation in the front, but was a little short in the upper arm. Also little short in overall length and loin muscle more square than oblong. As a result, on the move lacked reach but had good drive from powerful rear muscles. Lovely tail held in a nice arc whilst on the move.
