Class 214 OD (9 Entries) Abs: 2
1st: O MAHONY, Mrs J: DREAMJET WHO'S THE FLOSS (CC) Fawn brindle. This boy was right up my street. Classy, powerful, yet elegant. In the best of condition and such a sound mover. He is typey and not overdone in any way. So much to like in all departments. I was especially keen on his size, balance, construction and soundness. He is one from the top drawer with all parts fitting amicably together under the hands. He is such a pleasure to go over with his smooth, soft curves and not a lump or bump in sight. Stands on excellent bone and feet with the very best of shoulder construction. He is deep in rib and his ribs go way back to strong muscular loin leading into his powerful, well developed rear quarters. In order to win at the highest level all the little breed characteristics matter. I particularly liked the slight slope to his pastern and he is comfortably short in rear pastern enabling great strength and soundness as he moved away. He moved with style, surety and correct head carriage. I was delighted to award him the CC and equally pleased that I found out later that his sire is one of my favourites.

Nice depth and good spring and length to ribs, leading to strong muscular loin. Well bent stifles with good width and development over first and second thighs. He is sound out and back and has plenty reach and drive on the around. Presented here today in excellent form and condition and now having actually judged this boy I rate him amongst the best.

Red brindle with white trim. Her name just typifies exactly what she is for me. She is right up my street and was everything I was looking for today. She had to be to win such a strong class. She is the whole package, constructionally and with the very best of movement in perfect partnership with her sympathetic, and encouraging, handler. Totally feminine, ideal, for me, for size and the best of angulation fore and aft. She is curvy without excess. Stands on the best of bone and feet and is put down in the absolute epitome of top order. Good underline and with good width to first and second thighs. She has great depth, long ribs and is balanced and proportionate all through. Good head shape and really nice little rose ears, strong well arched, muscular neck held with perfect carriage throughout the performance. Sound and true out and back and putting on a fine and correct precision performance on the around. She is quite captivating and I was delighted to award her her first CC with Best of Breed and put her forward to represent the breed, watching her take the Hound Group and ultimately achieve Reserve Best In Show.
2nd: HALLIDAY, Mrs A & GREEN, Mrs K: COLLOONEY HELLS ANGEL OF BROCHINBELLE JW Sh.CM
Brindle with trim. Yet another quality bitch from this well-established kennel. She is another smart one. Slightly bigger than the class winner and with so much to commend. Every part flows neatly through to the next, smoothly and with lack of exaggeration throughout. She stands over a good amount of ground and is balanced and proportionate. Good front and good feet. Would prefer a shade more upper arm. Deep chest and well ribbed back to strong, muscular loin. She has well sprung ribs, strong broad hindquarters, well bent stifle and short from hock to heel. A very tidy mover and put down in great order today. I liked her a lot.
