Breed: Greyhound

LKA. Greyhound

I am sure Paul Singleton was very disappointed not to be able to undertake this appointment. I was very pleased to find out that he is now ok. Having a replacement judge never suits all who have or have not entered, and I thank exhibitors for their sporting acceptance of the change and situation, although as the saying goes there is always one!

Greyhounds are such a wonderful breed, so wonderful I owned one! I was lucky enough to be around when the quality was of the highest level. I admire the small band who are working so hard to keep this breed going, and it was heartening to see the sportsmanship shown on the day. I do think that too much length of body is a problem.

Minor puppy b (3)

Three promising babies.

1st: 1909 HARRISON-STRATFORD, K Southpoint Lady Loki NAF (Imp) Port

She was the best mover in this class and looked much better on the move than stood. She has a light and easy stride and is accurate out and back. Fem in head. Slightly better front than 2. Deep chest. Topline coming. Well made rear.

2nd: 1910 HOLDER AND BOGGIA, Mrs and Miss M Fionn Clann Bluebelle NAF

She is a very shapely b standing. She has a long and fem head. Correct in skull. Long neck. Topline is coming and a good underline. Enough hind angulation. Just picks her front up slightly.

Junior b ne

Post grad b (2)

1st: 1914 RUSSELL, Miss A Kates me flyer

Beautifully conditioned b, well muscled and in glossy coat. She is a sound mover. Rather too moderate in her angulation. Just a bit more shapely than 2.

2nd: 1915 SADLER, Miss J Huarache Mags

She is in super muscled. Well balanced if moderate in her angulation. Liked her head, eye and expression. Strong neck.

Limit b (2,1)

1st: 1912 MCLAUGHLAN, Mrs/Miss L Boughton Bulleta at Azrams

Beatifully conditioned b. She is very accurate out and back. Fem head. Long neck into a well laid shoulder. Chest to elbow. Tending to tuck her rear under her both stood and on the move today and so rather over arched in topline. Lovely deep feet.

Open b (3)

1st: 1908 CUTTER, Miss J M & LUBIN, Mr H Zoraden My Girl At Chosovi

She is a really shapely b, of super proportions and correct arch to her loin. Fem head with typical expression. Long neck. Better in shoulder than 2. She is slightly slack in her paster coming towards. Deep chest. Ideal rear. For type she was closest to my ideal in the entry. CC, which I understand makes her a champion, well done.

2nd: 1903 BOGGIA, Ms C Ch Ina's Fashion Design By Boughton

So very well handled. She is a bit longer than 1 and not quite as good in topline. She has a lovely head. Long neck. Tends to flick her pasterns on move. Well sprung ribs. Good rear. RCC
