Judge Mr E Forsey (Muzoku). A big thank you goes out to Nordic show committee who have given me the opportunity to see some more of this breed that I have admired for a while, and to the exhibitors who braved the weather today to attend. Although there is some diversity as there is in any breed it was nice to see in general the breed progressing in such a positive direction with strength in all of the age groups which can only bode well for the future.

CANADIAN ESKIMO DOG

P (2,1a) 1. Atkins, Qimugta Miss Marple, pretty 8 month old black and white coloured bitch, balanced head with moderate stop, good dentition, well placed thick ears. Good lay of shoulder and equal return, sufficient bone for her size, good sized round feet, level topline, slightly long in loin, high tail set and good carriage, very steady on the move at a steady gait. J (2) 1. Bailey, Qimugta Judas by Akna, wow what a stunning youngster who is only going to improve as he matures. Correct wedge shaped head, moderate stop and dark obliquely set eyes and correct dentition. Good length of neck and level topline with a short strong coupling and high set tail, overall profile slightly longer in body than height at withers. Well laid shoulders with round tight feet and slight angle to pasterns, matching rear angulation which really propelled this boy on the move covering the ground in an effortless and true gait. BOB

2.Atkins, Qimugta S’Holmes, good sized 8 month old white and red male, more square in body outline than first. Masculine head with nice tapered muzzle, eye colour matching coat and set obliquely. Moderate front and rear angulation, good sized feet, depth of chest to elbows. Needs a bit more breadth to chest but I’m sure that will come as he matures.

PG (1) 1, Graham, Akna Voorhees, 20 month old white and grey bitch, well balanced overall but finer in body and bone. Very feminine head with well set, small, alert ears which she never kept still, good length to neck and flowing smoothly into the shoulders. Longer in body than height at withers, nice turn of stifle and moved true in all aspects.

OD (1), Bailey, Harpan Hudson Bay via Akna, large 3 year old red and white male, nice side profile with his elbows well under his deep chest. Well off for bone and good sized round feet, nice wedge to head, correct dentition, eye colour matching coat, good turn of stifle and well-toned throughout. A little unsettled on the move today with true powerful drive from the rear but just needed a little more reach to match at the front.

V (2), Bailey, CAN Gr CH Arcticice Qimmiq G-Amorak Avec Akna (imp CAN) ShCM, Although a veteran of 8 years young didn’t disappoint with the best head of the day, broad and substantial, perfect wedge, well filled under obliquely set eyes, small thick well furred ears, powerful neck set on well laid shoulders, deep and broad chest, well off for bone and really well muscled throughout, level topline and good tailset, moderate rear angulation, moved true in all aspects RBOB and I was very pleased to see this boy later go RBVIS

2. Bailey & Atkins, Hr CH Akna Asavakkit , 7 year old, good sized, white with red markings bitch who had a nice feminine head. Good length to muzzle, correct dentition, nice clean wedge, well placed ears and alert expression. Body slightly longer than height at withers, well laid shoulder and equal return to upper arm, well boned for a bitch, good turn of stifle, well set tail and shown in a good thick coat. Generally moved true but did drop in and out of a pacing gait today.
