Terrier Group. The group was a very close decision between the Airedale and the Border Terrier, both I thought super example of their breeds. Coming out on top was the Airedale Toulsyork Sequel who has such presence for one so young. In second place the Border Terrier Yorkpiece Fiery Lucifer (Imp Cze) who I thought was top class example. In third spot was the very smart JRT Fast Love with Locheil and in fourth spot the puppy PJRT Pacolito Resurrection
Puppy Terrier Group was headed by the super young Border Terrier Raedwulf Nightfall, in second place the PJRT Pacolito Resurrection, a super JRT Shiroblam Tarte Tartin, only seven months but already full of attitude. Fourth place was the Sealyham Rowanrae Dream Weaver.
Jack Russell Terrier
Puppy (3,2 abs)
1st Shiroblam Tarte Tartin. BPIB
This chap was just seven months old but full of personality and enjoying his day out which was great to see. Super head piece on him, with good proportions and stop well defined. Eyes dark and well-shaped. Ears of good shape and size. Neck into shoulders is good, well laid back shoulders. Stands on good legs but needs to tighten in elbow. Body developing nicely and quarters with well bent stifles. Moved out well for his age, needs to tighten up which he will do as he develops. Best Puppy and later Puppy Group 3.
Junior (1)
1st Hunterhawk John McEnroe (AZ2)
This young man is 14 months old and has good overall proportions. Head is masculine and correct balance, eyes dark. Shoulders well laid back and a decent return of upper arm, elbows well under the body but would like them a little tighter. Decent length of body and spannable, slightly long in loin. Quarters ok, moderately angled. Needs to settle on the move to complete the picture.
Post Grad (2)
1st Shiroblam Jazzie Bat
This chap was 20 months old and had a good outline, head is masculine of good proportions and a dark eye. Body well made, ribs well sprung and firm in topline. Quarters coming along nicely. Coat of good condition. Moved out well to take the class.
2nd Rodale Rocky Road for Dewdhala
Good overall shape an proportions, preferred his head and expression to the winner, neck clean, decent lay back in shoulders but needs more return of upper arm, consequently a little wide in front. Body of good proportions. Balanced angles front and rear. Coat harsh, wouldn’t play ball on the move today.
Open (1)
1st Fast Love with Locheil. BOB.
I thought this chap was super, good size and shape. He is a total showman, and his hander got the most out of him at all times. Strong masculine head with a keen expression, neat ears and strength in jaw. Good in neck leading into well placed shoulders. Stands on well boned legs and neat feet. Well made in body and spannable. Super quarters with balanced angles. Moved out positively with a good action, held his shape throughout. Pleased to award him Best of Breed and later Group 3.
Parson Russel Terrier
Puppy (1)
1st Pacolito Resurrection. BPIB. BOB.
What a smart 7-month-old youngster, everything in the right place for his age. His head is wedge shaped enhanced by a dark eye, ears of good proportion. Good length of neck in to well laid-back shoulders. Standing on good straight front legs and neat feet. Body of good length. Quarters developing well for his age. Liked him on the move, with a ground covering action, where he scored over the open winner. He has a harsh double coat. For me an exciting youngster, my Best of Breed and later Puppy Group 2.
Open (2, 1bs)
1st Woldlinks Just Bookie
Nice type of bitch with a pretty head and expression, super dark eye. Clean reach of neck into decent lay back of shoulder, stands on well made legs but would have liked her a little tighter in elbow. Body of good proportion and well-developed hind quarters with a good bend of stifle. Coat harsh with correct undercoat. Moved out well but wasn’t as tidy behind as the puppy winner today.
AVNSC Terrier
Puppy (2, 1abs)
1st Rowanrae Dream Weaver (Sealyham)
Smart youngster with bags of potential. I liker her head and expression, she has a good eye. Well-made front, balanced proportions overall. Very puppyish on the move, great to see her enjoying herself. BAVNSCP and later Puppy Group 4.
Junior (1)
1st Knowlelion Clover Leaf with Kitesprite Naf Taf (Airdale)
A good youngster of 15 months. Good head piece, with a good balance to her skull, good eye to give a feminine expression, used her well set ears to advantage. Good front assembly, super straight legs, and super feet. Good depth to chest for her age, and well ribbed up, firm in loin and level topline. Quarters well made with stifles well bent, moved out well.
Post Grad (2)
1st Toulsyork Summer Skye (Airedale)
A very smart lady 17 months old and she has a super headpiece on her, balanced with good proportions and a lovely dark eye and uses her ears well. Good reach of neck, super straight front on her with well laid-back shoulders. Short level back, ribs springing well for her age, good hindquarters. Pushed her kennel mate hard in the challenge.
2nd Russalan Rosenda Rose (Scottie)
Smart lady, approaching 18 months. I liked her feminine head and expression which was well proportioned, enhanced by a super eye. Good in neck, well balanced in body with breadth to her chest. Stands on well boned legs. Hindquarters good, short from hock to heel. Correct coat texture and well presented, not as fluid on the move as the winner and this cost her the class.
Open (2)
1st Toulsyork Sequel (Airedale). BAVNSC. Grp 1.
This chap had quality stamped through him, super outline on the stack and presented in top condition. Masculine in head, keen in expression, enhanced by a dark eye. Excellent reach of neck into well laid-back shoulders, stands on straight legs which have good bone. Short level back, enough spring of rib and depth of chest but will finish as he matures up. Quarters well developed; stifles well bent ad hocks well let down. Moved out well with plenty of drive to take Best AVNSC and later Group 1. I thought him top class.
2nd R. Rosenda R.
Whippet
Puppy (4, 1abs)
1st Refton Tribalt at Whipsearle (Imp Esp). BPIB
Nice baby who has everything in the right place for his age, his head is well proportioned with a good eye. Scored in neck and front angulation over the second. Body well made of good proportions and quarters developing, stifles well bent. Moved out well to take the class, Best Puppy in Breed.
2nd Jubrancy Spring Vacation
This chap is progressing nicely but at the growing stage at the moment and didn’t quite have the balance of the winner. His head is masculine with a good eye, shoulders well laid back, needs to develop in front. Stands on good legs with good feet. Body well made and quarters developing nicely, well bent stifles.
3rd Elamanash Glenlossie
Junior (4, 2 abs)
1st R. Tribalt at W.
2nd Batnoir Lady Victoria
Thirteen months old and wasn’t very happy today and not holding her shape on the stack, she was very tense and hunched up. Feminine head with a pleasing expression. She had good overall proportion and shape.
Post Grad (4, 1 abs)
1st Demerlay Sweet Dreams
A very smart fawn and white, 4-year-old and had elegance about her. Lovely head piece on her enhanced by a good eye. Clean reach of neck and a well assembled front, I liked her overall shape and proportions and thought she scored in her flowing outline. Super action on the move, sound as a pound and unlucky to meet the open winner in the challenge, I see they are both from the same kennel.
2nd Kaymark Kaptain
Brindle dog of four years, masculine in head with a dark eye. Good overall outline, shoulders well laid back, would like him a little tidier in elbow. Plenty of depth of chest, quarters well developed with stifles well bent. Not quite as good as the winner on the move today.
3rd Moonfleur Moroccan Mint
Open (11, 3abs)
1st Demerlay Strawberry Ice. BOB.
I loved this fawn bitch, totally feminine and elegant, looked a picture on the stack. Very pretty in head with a super eye and fine ears. Super neck into a good front assembly, shoulders well laid back and a good return of upper arm, standing on good well boned legs and good feet. She has depth to her chest and flows through her body, ribs well sprung. Excellent quarters on her with well bent stifles. Accurate on the move, super foot fall and an easy stride. Please to later award her Best of Breed.
2nd Crosscrop Born to Move for Jubrancy
Another smart lady with an elegant outline, as with the winner a pleasing headpiece with a dark eye and good ears. Arched neck into well placed shoulders, would like a shade more length of upper arm. Well filled in front, with depth to chest, ribs have good spring. Well-made quarters. Move out well but not the accuracy of footfall of the winner today.
