Wiveliscombe & District Canine Society

I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge at this well run show. I would like to thank the exhibitors for entering under me and accepting my decisions. The ring was a nice size for the dogs to move around.

HUNGARIAN VIZSLA

Open 1 Roe’s Rarog Ruda Szata For Pirospont (imp POL) NAF, 11 month dog of a nice type, masculine head with correct eye. Well made front assembly, nicely laid shoulders with good topline, correct tailset. Well let down hocks, moves well. BOB.

2 Parker’s Kentwone Flaming Sunset, 9 month bitch, with a pretty headf with correct eye. Well balanced outline with good topline and tailset. Moved ok. BP.

LARGE MUNSTERLANDER

Open 1 Disney’s SHCH Wonglepong Wills Faramir, 7 year old well boned dog, masculine head, balanced outline, well made front assembly with matching rear end, strong topline which was held on the move, correct tailset and carriage. Moved well. BOB.

2 Prowse’s Quilesta Just Endearing Mit Mermilmar, 5 year old bitch, moderate well made bitch with pretty head and expression, with a good outline and nice topline. Moved ok.

FLATCOAT RETRIEVER

Open 1 Moon’s Llantrussa Sorrento Moon, 2 year old male, slightly longer cast but maintaining the raciness, masculine head leading down to well laid shoulders, maintained a good topline standing and on the move. Moved with drive and purpose. BOB.

2 Trotter’s CH Lussac Winter Wizard JW SWGC, 3 year old dog, more compact then one, correct head and expression. Nice topline when standing had tendency to lose it slightly when on move. Moved OK.

GOLDEN RETRIEVERS

Puppy 1 Richardson’s Stormhayes Midnight Sky, 6 month old bitch, pretty head with kind expression, nice flow of neck down on to good shoulders, topline was ok not always maintained on the move. Was slightly erratic on the move, was more settled in the challenge. BP

Junior 1 Callow’s Kidston Priddy With Cassatess, 15 month old light golden bitch, pretty feminine head, nice moderate angles front and rear, good topline with good tailset. Moved ok.

Graduate 1 Hurrell’s Kadaka Kaos At Gillansgold, 2 year old dark golden dog, masculine head with kind expression, flowed nicely down his neck into shoulders continuing along a strong topline, well angulated and moved with purpose and drive, RBOB.

2 Callow’s Kidston Priddy With Cassatess

3 Lees’ Denmarella Highland Lace

Open Bitch 1 Merrick’s Stormerick Abbey Crunch, 5 year old pale bitch, feminine head with kind expression, nice length of neck leading down to well placed shoulders, topline firm and strong maintain constantly, nicely angulated front and rear correct catlike feet. Moved with purpose and drive. BOB.

2 Lee’s Silverbarrow Secret in Lace JW, 5 year old dark golden bitch, feminine head nice length of neck and well laid shoulders, good topline, tailset and carriage, was carrying slightly bit too much weight, moved well.

3 Hewitson’s Seruilla Splash of Class.

NOVA SCOTIA DUCK TOLLING RETRIEVER

Junior 1 Trickett’s Cfyre’s High Tea At Tollpepper (IMP CAN) NAF, 7 month old bitch, feminine head, with good shoulder, has a correct topline and moved well. BP

Graduate 1 Rolf & Parker’s Tollpepper Echo’s Hope For Skysaria, 22 month old bitch, well made girl with correct head and expression, super topline, well muscled and moved well. BOB

2 Hipkiss’ Afonbach First Sign O’Spring at Deltandamba JW, 22 month old bitch, slightly large girl than 1, but much of the same comments apply as one, wasn’t so straight and true from behind on the move.

3 Hughes’ Abacot Into The Unknown.

Open 1 HIpkiss’ Erikachen O’Ruadh For Deltandamba, 7 year old dog, this dog stood out from first look round. Masucline head with a super expression. Nicely angulated and moved with purpose. RBOB

2 Hughes’ Eusanit Gem Stone At Abacot, 3 year old bitch, pretty and feminine bitch in outline on first glance, nicely angulated and well muscled. Moved with drive.

ENGLISH SPRINGER SPANIEL

Open 1 Ainsley & Nicklin’s Daenerys Blood Of The Dragon, 2 year old liver and white dog, nice length of neck, leading on to a strong topline which was maintained on the moved. Nicely made rear and well muscled. Moved ok and presented well. BOB

FIELD SPANIEL

Junior 1 Trotter’s Irisbel Coming Home To Sylviidae, 12 month old liver dog, flat boned. Moderately angled both front and rear, masculine head with correct eye. Strong well let down hocks. Moved well and well presented. BOB

2 Porter’s Winsbrook Gypsy Moth, 14 month old black bitch, feminine and not overdone. Nicely angulated with a good topline. Lacks the finish of one. Moved ok.

Graduate 1 Porter & Russell’s 20 month old liver dog, well made head, nice neck

leading down to well laid shoulders, good front assembly with flat bone, well

muscled rear which aided the good movement.

Open 1 Porter’s Kingsmist Agatha Christie At Winsbrook, 4 year old black bitch, pretty head with coarseness, well laid shoulders, with correct topline, moderately angled, straight legs with flat bone. Moved well. RBOB

2 Alexander’s Fecimus Robin Banks, 10 year old black dog, masculine and coarse head. Good and strong topline, which he maintained. Certainly didn’t show his age. Moved well.

WELSH SPRINGER SPANIEL

Graduate 1 Morgan’s Benoveor Endless Love, 17 month old bitch, super pretty and feminine in outline, super neck leading into well laid shoulders, on to a super topline. Nicely angulated at both front and rear, well muscled moved with power. BOB

2 Blackford’s Amblelight Adhara, 8 month old bitch, feminine and pretty head, well off for bone, correct topline which was maintained while on move. Moved ok. BP,

Open 1 Morlidge’s Kurzeja Kalina 3 year old bitch, well made, and well boned. Well angulated front and rear and well muscled. Moved well. Handler kept standing her too wide. RBOB

2 Blackford & Blackford’s Amblelight Porcia, 3 year old bitch, more mature than 1, good topline and well angulated. Shown in hard condition. Let herself down on the move.

Junior Handling 6 – 11

1 Texas Lee – Smartly dressed and polite young lady. Constantly kept watch on where judge was, lines were straight and good. Teeth well presented. Won on overall finish.

2 Thomas Taylor – Well dressed and polite young man, teeth well presented, and moved the dog correctly. There was less of a repour with the dog and dog seemed disinterested.

12-16

1 Harriet Duffield – Entered the ring confidently and well presented, Harriet was polite. She moved the dog with confidence and the dog was clearly enjoying its time with her. Teeth well presented and straight lines.

Adult Handling 17+

1 Rena Barrow – Well dressed and pleasant, constantly watching were judge was. Another that the dog looked to be enjoying its time. Lines were straight and confident, teeth well presented.

2 Margaret McWilliams – Well presented and less acknowledging than 1, presented the teeth well, but on the move the dog kept pulling forward and sideways and this was main factor of decision.
