BEST IN SHOW

Holman’s Pomeranian: ALTINA’S HENRY HIGGINS JW. What a cracking little package he is. Never stopped showing and had an abundance of type and style. He was strong and deliberate on the move, continually maintaining his topline as he used himself and showed great attitude in performance. Beautiful head, wedge shaped with flat skull with dark expressive eyes of good shape. Foxy in appearance and with good bite. Ear of good size, shape and erect. Solid and full in rib without coarseness. Quality fine bone and good feet. Level topline and correct high tail set and carriage. Presented in good coat with correct texture. Liked his overall construction, balance and so correct in movement.

RESERVE BEST IN SHOW

Lee’s Finnish Lapphund: KAIJARTUU IHMISSUSI JW. This really smart wolf sable boy had been my Best of Breed earlier in the day. He had attracted my eye for his breed type, constructional qualities and good movement. He is fully mature in coat, muscle and performance. Well-presented and at one with his handler. He pushed hard to win this position today in a quality line-up of group representatives. (See breed critique)

BEST PUPPY IN SHOW

Butterstone’s Pug: BRITISHGLORY AVRIL. Beautiful youngster who had immediately attracted as soon as she came into the ring. She has showmanship in abundance already and what a sound little mover. Excellent topline and good twist. Loved her head and dark, round, expressive eye. Enough wrinkle and good in ear set. Good overall proportions, good angulations and with good bone and feet, black nails. Most appealing and certainly one to watch.
