I would just like to thank the IRWS Club of GB for allowing me the honour of Judging at their open show, it goes without saying that I feel really privileged to be asked. And to all the exhibitors that allowed me to make judgement of their wonderful dogs Thank You for that honour too!!!
Veteran Dog (2) 1. Bayne’s- Corranroo Casper. Lovely oldie so very much to type with a good overall outline, head of good plains and in proportion, nicely domed and showing a good stop, eye round and of good dark colour, ears set level with eyes, shoulders well laid back giving good frontage, oval bone, slight slope in pasterns, flat across the topline held on the move, coat in good condition, moved positively with drive. BVIS 2. Collins- SH CH Romaunt Bloomin Grand at Forestpoint. Larger dog than 1 but still good to type, overall good across head to tail still strong in muscle and toning, shoulders well laid back, front assembly good, deep in chest with plenty of spring of rib, good tuck up in couplings, rear quarters with good angulation, movement was just a tad off today in a noisy and narrow area, RBVIS. Puppy Dog (1) 1. Tattersall- Alanea Mirror Image. 10 month old of good size and quality, good equal plains to head, nice eye, good ear set, strong in neck flowing through well laid shoulders across flat topline to good set on tail, plenty of good oval bone in front down to well made feet, depth to chest cavity with sound spring of rib, 1st and 2nd thigh muscular and well toned, rear angulation good, plenty of coat for age in great condition, moved ok in challenging environment. BPIS. Graduate Dog (1) 1. Sayer’s- Settersay Thunder. Strong looking dog, with good well balanced proportions, head shape and plains equal and to type, with a good eye and ear set, good bone in front, shoulder position good and laid back well, feet nice and tight (close-knit), strong in rear and well toned in muscle, moved smoothly. Post Graduate Dog (1) 1. J Barney’s- Romaunt Lust for Life. Very strong willed boy but of a good overall look and to type, nice equal plains to head, good in eye shape and colour, ear set correct, strong front assembly with nice oval bone, neck well toned with slight arch smoothly in well laid back shoulders, strength to top line to correct tail set, rear quarters good with nicely muscled 1st and 2nd thigh, moved with a positive drive. Limit Dog (2,1) 1. Taylor’s- Laoirebay Monte Carlo. Good looking dog, nice equal plains to head with a good eye and ear set, shoulders proportionate to front assembly, topline good and flat, well sprung in rib giving plenty of lung and heart space, rear angulation ok, feet nice and tight, coat in good condition, moved well. Open Dog (5,1) 1. Ward’s- SH CH Cornadore Argyle with Copperwhite. Fantastic look to this dog, square looking not over exaggerated and very much to type, giving a strong and athletic look, strong to type head of good equal plains, good eye and ear set, good muscular thickness to slight arch in neck falling to a well laid back shoulder, straight front with good oval bone, nice slight slope to pasterns to good feet, depth to chest and the spring of rib giving plenty of lung and heart room, couplings of good proportion to rest of dog, croup with width and strength, rear angulation good powered by well muscled and toned 1st and 2nd thighs, moved with a good drive in a straight and true gate. BIS 2. Greens- SH CH Zendarric Heart Shaped Box with Viszaset. Overall another top quality dog with good outline, Head proportions with correct equal plains, nice eye, good ear set, nicely toned neck falling into a good lay of shoulder, good topline to correct tail set, plenty of width and depth to chest, tidy rear construction with good toning to well muscled 1st and 2nd thighs, movement was good pipped by 1. RBD
Puppy Bitch (3) 1. Tattersall’s- Alanea Savannah. Litter sister to puppy dog 1st, with a lot in common, looking the business totally to type with a good overall appearance, strong in a well laid shoulder, topline nice and flat, good eye and ear set on a well balanced head, good bone in front and tidy feet, nice shape to chest cavity, rear construction with a good bend to stifle, nicely toned thighs which gave for a strong and steady movement. RBPIS. 2. Hutchinson’s- Lairebay Drifting Breeze. Good looking youngster of a ‘to type’ overall outline and look, first-rate look to a well proportioned head, good eye and ear set, nice lay of shoulder, bone oval and developing well, chest good with a spring of rib good for age, rear construction ok toning to 1st and 2nd thighs coming along nicely, feet still a little loose but that will come, movement was good away and back, a little loose across in profile, but overall good at this age. Junior Bitch (1,1). Graduate Bitch (2) 1. Sayer’s- Settersay Snowstorm SWGC. Lighter built bitch than 2nd but balanced and true to breed type, totally fit for purpose, outline good, head plains equal and balanced, eye and ear set good, strength to neck, shoulders well laid back giving good front angulation, bone oval and feet tight, good shape and depth to a well sprung chest, rear assembly good full of strength and toned muscle, moved with a positive drive and gate. 2. Jackson’s- Taxus Rising Spring. Well balanced girl with a good overall look, nice plains to head with a lovely dark eye, neck flowed nicely over a good lay of shoulder across flat topline to correct tail set, chest with good depth, couplings strong and in proportion, rear assembly good, movement was a little wayward but not the worst, think the environment may have had a say in this. Post Graduate Bitch (2,1) 1. Hutchinson’s- Siorrudh red Velvet. Nice looking bitch with a good outline, equal plains to head with a good eye and ear set, nice laid back shoulder placement, good oval bone and neat front, good shape and tightness to feet, couplings strong, muscle and toning to rear was good, coat in good condition, presented and her movement was good. Limit Bitch (1) 1. Tait’s- Talintyre Winter Spice. Lovely outline with a flat topline, overall attractive silhouette, nice well balanced head with a good eye and correct ear set, tapered neck with good muscle into well lay back of shoulder, nice bone in front, straight and sinewed front, flat topline to good tail set, 1st and 2nd thigh well muscled and toned, good angulation on a well bent stifle, presented and moved well on a loose lead. Open Bitch (5) 1. Tait’s- SH CH Lovejoel Sleeping Beauty. Well used to placing this girl, still one of my favourites, great expression from a well balanced head, good dark eye and ear set, outline very much to type, flat topline to good set on tail, good in lay of shoulder so giving the front assembly the correct angulation evident with the reach achieved on the move, still strong in rear quarters muscular and toned, moved with a great dive straight and true without effort. RBIS, BOSIS. 2. Gardner’s- SH CH Charnborough Charisma of Danwish. Close call with 1st, good overall to type look with a good balance in all departments, head with good equal plains, nice eye, ear set good, strong neck through to a good lay back of shoulder, front with plenty of good oval bone, correct slight slope to pasterns, good depth and spring of rib in chest, shows good strength in rear with plenty of good toned muscle in 1st and 2nd thigh, movement was good and full of drive. Brace and Team (1) Mr Sayer did a grand job in both classes, good co-ordination and control of his charges, making it look effortless, at no time was any of the dogs wayward or separated from each other. Great Job
