Lovely balance to her outline with short neck, good chest and ribbing, firm topline, straight front with good bone and strong rear. Well proportioned head with beautiful expression, defined stop, dark eyes and nicely tapered muzzle. Moved smartly, just a shame she didn’t settle enough to use her tail more as it lost her the chance at higher honours.

2. Samuelson’s Boa Felicidade Kristal Amarela Da Beleza. Wavy bitch of a similar size and shape to 1 but a touch less bone and could have more angulation in front. Strong neck with good head carriage, firm topline and well set and carried tail. Moving freely using rear well. Nice head qualities with good ears, stop and mouth.

Open (6) What a treat to judge a class full of such quality!

1. Williams & Newton’s Ch/Can Grch/Am Ch Macduff’s Critical Acclaim (imp Can). This 4yr curly boy just couldn’t be denied the win here. He immediately caught my eye standing proudly with head carried high on his short strong neck, super chest and ribbing, moderate tuck up, strong loin, lovely rear assembly with tail set and carried correctly. The most handsome head, large and well proportioned with dark round eyes placed correctly, good stop, slightly tapered muzzle to wide black nose, strong jaw and such an appealing expression. So impressive on the move, accurate in all directions, the best out and back in the class, holding his outline firm in profile and quite obviously in the peak of condition. In superb harsh, dense coat presented to perfection, handled to get the best out of him and to top it off he has the most delightful temperament. He was pushed hard by 2 but his better front action gave him the edge. BOB, and later G2 in a strong group.

2. Thompson-Morgan & Morgan’s Ch. Belleville Anjo De Noite. 11yr brown wavy bitch who really does look superb for her age and was in no way disgraced standing 2nd in this class. Well balanced in outline with short neck, firm topline, deep chest, well ribbed back to short loin and strong rear. Well proportioned head with nicely finished muzzle, strong jaw, well spaced eyes and thin, correctly set ears. Moved happily maintaining her outline with tail carried correctly, not quite as good in front as 1. In super condition, well muscled and in beautifully presented coat. RBOB and also topped the veteran group and ultimately BVIS, well done!

2. Rigby’s Zariza Nochi Tara’s Sarja for Omiant (imp Deu). 7month old baby who gave away a lot here in maturity both physically and mentally!! Delightful temperament, lively and alert, settling more as the class progressed to show off her sound construction with strong neck into good shoulders, lovely size and bone, just needs time to mature and fill her frame but certainly has the potential to make a very impressive adult. Beautiful head and expression with neat, high set ears, strong jaw, correct length of muzzle and dark oval eyes. Moved happily, just not as together as 1. BP.
