PUPPY D/B 8(1)

Wow what a fabulous class to start the day a lovely group of puppies who although at different stages of development all were quality examples and I’m sure will have bright futures.

1st: Strevens- Tollisty You Can’t Decline.

9 month old male. Lovely wedge shaped head of correct proportions, well placed ears and almond shaped eyes, giving an alert, intelligent yet somewhat serious expression. He is very well balanced for one so young, nice front assembly with well laid shoulders, good return of upper arm and tight elbows. Great depth of chest and holds a level top line both in movement and on the stack. Strong well muscled rear with correct angulation. Coat a lovely deep red of good texture and condition, he has rather a lot of it which can make him look heavier in body to the eye however underneath he is just right for age. If I could ask for anything it would just be a bit more of him all through as he is on the smaller side but he still has plenty of time to grow and this did not detract from his overall quality

He absolutely excelled on the move beautifully balanced displaying the typical jaunty attitude.

2nd: Dorrell & Jenkins- Tollisty Moët En Chandon. Litter brother to 1st. Attractive masculine head again of correct proportions with well set ears. He has a kind soft expression. He also has fabulous front angles and corresponding rear. Strong topline and makes a stunning silhouette on the stack. Well muscled all through with fantastic substance which gives the impression of power without being overly heavy. Coat of a slightly lighter yet still correct colour than 1st and also in great condition. I preferred his proportions overall but he just couldn’t match his brother on movement today which cost him the top spot. I’m sure there will be many times these two will switch places going forward.

Yearling D/B 2(1)

1st: Ryder- Arthundur Dream Come True.

15 month old male. good head, almond shaped eyes with colour developing nicely to blend with coat. He has a soft sweet expression. Very good ears. Good outline with well matched angulation front and rear. Good bone for size. Tight neat feet. Not in his best coat today but what he had was of nice colour and quality. Chest still needs to deepen and fill to complete the picture and I’m sure this will come with age.

Movement was correct and effortless.

It was a close decision in the final challenge and he just lost out on maturity. RBOB

Post Graduate D/B 1

1st: Last- Gingafing Must Have Been Luv. 2yr old bitch. Very pretty petite girl. Beautiful feminine head. She was completely out of coat today however she casts a nice typical silhouette, is well balanced in angles, strong level top line both on the move and standing. She moves very well with correct effortless stride. Very well handled

Open D/B 2(1)

1st: Smith- Tivalake Anything Goes At Tollisty JW. 4yr old mature compact bitch. Dam of BP and you can certainly see the family stamp. Another good feminine head with eyes of correct shape, colour blending perfectly with coat. She gives an intelligent yet mischievous expression. Well laid shoulders, deep chest with well sprung ribs, good substance for size, strong short loin, nicely muscled throughout. Rich red coat which was in great condition.

On the move she certainly doesn’t lack for drive and occasionally needed to slow down a little however when she did her movement was true with perfect foot fall and correct tail carriage. A true show girl loving her time in the ring. Very pleased to award her a well deserved BOB
