First my I start by saying thank you to the Society for inviting me to judge for them. I was made very welcome from all the committee who were all working hard keeping the show running as smoothly as possible. To my steward for the day Mrs Elaine Waddington, thank you for keeping the ring flowing and doing a great job.

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Graduate (9/2)

1st Miss W Waters – Sweetbriar La Dee Da

A youngster i have previously judged not long back and same applies. She was well presented and a temperament so soft and happily gay. Now 16 months old rich chestnut marked Blenheim female, very pretty expression with dark eyes large and rounded. Ears with feathering coming down, set high on skull. Slightly arched to neck fitting into well laid shoulders. Straight in back, good body condition, starting to mature, ribs well sprung. Tail carried out on the move happily with nice feathering plumage. Straight in legs of moderate bone, feet compact and well cushioned with plenty feathering all round. On the move she was very attentive to handler, reaching out with elegance and drive from behind. She enjoyed her time in the ring showing lovely outline on the stand. Pleased to award her Reserve Best Of Breed.

2nd Anne Leaver – Revaelann Scrumptious

Another beautiful Young female of 3 years old. Very rich in chestnut colour with Blenheim markings evenly spread. A lovely overall shape, Very feminine in outline. Beautiful sweet soft expression with dark rounded eyes which sparkled. High set ears on skull with good feathering length. Shallow stop with muzzle tapering. Slight arched in neck flowing down to a level back. Well fitted shoulder placement supported by straight moderately boned legs. Lovely body condition of good length, well sprung in ribs. Tail well set on and held out on the move. Nice in rear action , straight with good muscle tone. Moving she did super, pushing off from behind using her well cushioned feet. Straight and balanced in front. very attentive throughout.

1st Karen Kynaston – Granasil Golden Nugget Shcex VW

What a delightful older chap this male was. Nearing to 8 years old and still showing the youngsters how it’s done. Rich ruby red in colour and coat of good length and soft texture. Such a pleasing handsome head piece with large, dark expressive eyes. Shallow in stop and muzzle of enough length tapering. Slightly arched in neck, fitting well in to shoulders. Level in back with tail well set on and plenty feathering and of medium length. Moved very well with his handler throughout, watching her every move and with plenty of drive from behind using well cushioned feet to push off with. Straight in front of moderate bone keeping steady on the move. Delighted to award him Best Of Breed and later watch him take Toy Group 3.

2nd Mr & Mrs G & J Macalpine – Annatika Trixiebelle

Another beautifully presented female of 2 and ¾ years old. Rich chestnut in colour with white, evenly marked. Nicely outlined shape. Head piece very pleasing and in proportion to body. Soft sweet expression with large dark eyes. Shallow in stop. Ears with plenty feathering and long. Slightly arched in neck fitting well into shoulders. Good in fore chest with plenty heart room. Balanced body length, Level in back with well sprung ribs. Tail set on and carried out on the move, nicely feathered. Straight and muscled in legs of moderate bone. Well cushioned feet with feathering. Good in rear movement Pushing off with drive, level in front with elegance reach.

1st K Sharp-Dixon & J Reyes – Dinarth Diamonds Are Foreva

Beautiful young female of just 7 months old. Lovely rich red in colour and coat closely smooth. Very attentive to handler throughout. Nice in head Piece with eyes bright and fitting well into face. Flat skull on top between erect ears set high. Strong in muzzle, Scissor bite with lips tight fitting. Slightly arched in neck flowing down to a level back with tail set high and carried slightly high. Strong muscle tone to rear with good turn of stifle. Straight in front of medium8 bone. On the move she showed true Hackney movement in front. Pleased to award her Best Puppy In Breed and later watch her take Toy Puppy Group Two.

1st K Sharp-Dixon & J Reyes – Dinarth Licensed To Kill

Nicely sized male of 18 months old. Black and tan in colour. Masculine in head but in no way to much. Sparkling eyes dark and fitting well into face. Flattish on top of skull between well placed ears set on high, erected. Slightly arched in neck fitting into well laid shoulders. Level in back flowing to high set tail held slightly high. Body in good condition, square with ribs well sprung and Muscular, with smooth close laying coat. Straight in legs of medium bone. Moved well. Awarded him Best Of Breed.

1st Mr N & Mrs L Todd-McCoid- Rubyanlo Magic Trix

Very pretty, dainty young female of just 11 months old. Small in structure and nicely put together. Lovely domed head, expressive large dark eyes. Enough muzzle length with good stop. Nice neck length fitting well into shoulders. Level in top line flowing on to her tail set, held up and over with nice feathering. Straight in legs with rear drive and reach from in front. Very attentive to her handler throughout. Delighted to award her Best Puppy In Breed and later watch her take Toy Puppy Group 4.

1St Mr N & Mrs L Todd-McCoid- Tresbellechi Mon Cherie Avec Rubyanlo

A very pretty feminine lady of nearly 3 years old. Dainty in outline and such a soft sweet temperament. Nice in head piece not over done. Domed in skull with large flaring ears with nice feathering. Dark rounded eyes, good in stop with just enough muzzle length, scissor bite. Good neck length flowing down to a level back, well laid shoulders and ribs well sprung. Tail carried up and over with lovely feathering. Straight in legs moving around the ring using brisk action with reach in front. Awarded her Reserve Best Of Breed.

1st Danielle Gilling – Rubyanlo All Night Long

A male I have admired for some time who just never let’s his handler down. Masculine in head with nice head, domed with width between large flaring ears with enough feathering. Large rounded eyes, definite in stop with muzzle housing a regular scissor bite. Slightly arched in neck flowing down to well laid shoulders. Level in top line nice in body condition of good length to height ratio, well sprung in rib. Tail of good length with plumage flowing. Lovely feathering in correct places. Straight in legs moving with drive from behind and good reach in front. Despite a close call from a dog in a joining ring, he never let it get to him as he kept himself in check. Delighted to award him Best Of Breed and later watch him take Toy Group 2.

2nd Mr N & Mrs L Todd-McCoid- Sanati Soul Ch Emir Rubyanlo (imp ukr)

A handsome male in small stature. 20 months old and maturing nicely. Masculine head piece, nice large round dark eyes. Definite stop and muzzle housing a regular scissor bite. Domed in skull with large flaring ears. Level in back with ribs well sprung in body. Tail carried up and over with nice plumage. Straight in legs with good movement coming and going.

1st Evelyn Hillan - Zaanadam Lady Libra

A super dainty compacted female of just a year old. Having judged this little girl in Puppy she is coming on a real treat. True wedge shaped head piece, foxy like outline. Beautifully oval shaped eyes full of expression, tapering finely muzzle housing a scissor bite. Short in neck leading to well set shoulder placement. Level in back good in body, short, compact and well ribbed up, barrelled. Tail set high and over back with harsh coat spread out. Straight in legs moving parallel and true with elegance. Delighted to award her Best Of Breed and later watch her take Toy Group One.

2nd Laura-Jayne Cregg – Edkabangels Zennia

A well presented female of 10 months old. A beautiful puppy fully attentive to her handler throughout. Lovely in head, flattish on top of skull, foxy outline. Sweet, feminine expression. Nice eyes, bright. Tapering muzzle of good length with a scissor bite. Depth to fore chest, good heart space. Short in neck and level in back. Compact in body, good spring to rib. High set tail carried over back fanning out with harsh coat. Straight in legs of fine bone and medium length. Moved briskly coming and going, light on her compact, cat like feet. Pleased to award her Best Puppy In Breed and later watch her take Toy Puppy Group One.
