Sunderland & District Canine Society

As always a pleasure to judge at Sunderland, hospitality second to none and a great welcome by everybody involved. Some great dogs to look at and go over. My apologies to exhibitors for delay in the report, I did send it after judging but it clearly never made it to the right places.

SPANIEL (American Cocker)

PG (1,0) 1. Morris’ Mycalleys China Doll. 20month old Black and Tan bitch, lovely head and expression. Good mouth. Nice ribs and loin. Good rear quarters, moves with reach and drive.

O (2,0) 1 Sunter & Pinchen Gypsy King at Keonula. Black and Tan male, classical head with good proportion of stop and depth. Won on movement, nice ribs and loin. BOB. 2 Morris’ Churchill Moser Dog at Mycalleys. 3 year old male lovely head and eye, lovely ribs, he was just a little erratic on the move today.

SPANIEL (Cocker)

J (2,0) 1 Macfarlane Cooleela As Sweet As You Are. 10month old black bitch of exceptional qualities so much so I gave her BOB today. Beautiful head with typical cocker appearance. Good rib and loin, moves lovely when she settled down. 2 Twemlow Senoia’s The Midnight Sky. 13month old black bitch. Lovely head and expression. Sadly her movement today affected her placing with head down and tail well up.

O (2,0) 1 Macfarlane Cooleela Cressida. Beautiful black bitch. Lovely head and expression. Good rib and loin. Well made front, moves true with good tailset. 2. Bacon’s Timbric Star Catcher.

SPANIEL (English Springer)

G (2,0) 1 Calverts Calvdale Ever Thus. 11month old liver and white dog. Beautiful head and expression. Good neck into shoulders. Beautiful front. Good rib, and moves well and true. BOB. 2 Calvdale Pure Theatre. 11month old Liver and white bitch. Slightly lighter eye. Good rib and coupling. Just needs to mature in her brain bless her.

O(2,0) 1 Calverts Calvdale Scaramouch Jones. 14month old Liver and White dog. Beautiful expression and head. Lovely front and neck into good ribs. Moves true. 2 Calvdale Pure Theatre.

 SPANIEL (Sussex)

L (4,1) 1 Anderson’s Meggamooch Winterfell . Bitch not overdone, lovely head and muzzle. Good depth of chest and rib. Nice mover, and a good proportion and balance. 2 Mowbray Crumbledor Reubus Hagrid. Male of good build, just needs a little more in the loin where he is a little lean for me. 3 Mowbray Crumbledor Bella Lestrange.

O (3,1) 1 Mowbray Bainsmill Lilly Luna Potter at Crumbeldor. Lovely elegant bitch, nice head that wasn’t overdone. Good front, middle and rear. She moves well and sound in all quarters. 2 Anderson’s Sh Ch Meggamooch Ulysses. Shows haw of eye a little too much for me. Big boy, who carries well on the move.

SPANIEL (Welsh Springer)

G (1,0) 1 Chandlers’ Chanangel Jo Sugden. 20month male. Lovely head and expression. Good neck into well laid shoulders. Good rib and loin, moves well and sound.

O (2,0) 1 Chandlers Waverleyling to Millport. Lovely 2yr old bitch. Good head and workings through. Beautiful clean neck and shoulder. Good rib and loin. 2 Douglas’s Eiriandhs Georgy Girl By Santallina NAF.

SETTER (English)

G (2,0) 1 Carr’s Balvenie Blue Lagoon. Lovely blue belton dog. Good mover, lovely head. 2 Agar’s Bournehouse Ferryman. A lovely dog with stunning head and movement, but he just needs training.

O (2,0) 1 Snook’s Dalreavoich Northern Caper. Lovely blue dog, with lovely head workings and good body proporitons. Moves nicely. 2 Balvenie Blue Lagoon.
