Southern Japanese Chin Club

Southern Japanese Chin Club Open Show held at Kingston Blount on 12th November 2022

Special award classes.

Thank you to everyone who accepted me as a stand in judge at the last minute

And to the exhibitors who took my placings with good humour and sportsmanship.

Class A Novice D/B (3, 1abs)

1. Benton-Taylor’s Sansarc Ashoken Farewell, nicely marked rounded head with a correct bite, well cushioned foreface and dark eye with the required look of astonishment smaller style dainty B/W dog, nicely balanced, good shoulder placement and length of upper arm, good width of chest and depth of brisket, good length of rib and loin, and nicely feathered hare feet, well set tail, moved soundly.

2. Good’s Sleepyhollow Ricardo, Taller B/W dog, not the balance or front of 1. Not as sound on the move as the winner and the handler needs to stand the dog sideways rather than exhibit the dog’s backend in the ring.

Class B D/B (2,1abs) 1. Good’s Sleepyhollow Ricardo, stood along in the class. 2nd in Novice.

Class C Open D/B (3,1abs) Farmer’s Salvador Dali by Sangria, beautifully balanced 2 ½ year old B/W dog. Lovely rounded head well marked, dark eye and expression, correct bite, moderate length of neck leading into a good layback of shoulder and corresponding length of upper arm, straight forelegs and nicely feathered hare feet, good depth of brisket and spring of rib, good length of ribcage and firm loin, high tail set and good carriage. Good turn of stifle, moved soundly, well handled and beautifully presented.

2. Benton-Taylors’ Sansarc Show Must Go On. 18 months old, well balanced B/W dog with a nice rounded head, correct bite cushioning on the muzzle, nice shaped dark eye. Good length of neck and shoulder placement with a good length of upper arm. Plumed tail, Moved well.

Junior Handling (1) 7 year old Jasmine Benton-Taylor with her B/W bitch Sansarc Buffalo Girl. Jasmine presented her dog very well for her age and was able to carry out her figure work to a fair standard. Her triangle was good and her T was a very good attempt, she was able to answer the questions on the points of the dog that I asked her. I would like her to practice putting her dog on the table and being more attentive to what is asked of her by the judge to help her improve her skills. Well done jasmine on a very good effort.
