Brace Stakes

Day 1

1st Thomson-Morgan’s Norfolk Terriers. Really cheeky personalities and looking like 2 peas in a pod. Well matched. Excellent for type, size and substance. Very good coats for texture and preparation. Moved very well once they put their mind to it!

2nd Symphorienit Pugs. Another excellent pair. Excel in heads, pigmentation and large, expressive dark eyes. Compact bodies. Well made. Jaunty movers with desired high set, double twist tails. Excellent double coats. Full of health and vitality.

3rd Parker’s Miniature Pinschers

Day 2

1st Absent

Day 3

1st Merritt’s GSPs. Super clean-cut outlines and a perfectly matched mother and daughter pair. Liked their functional outlook. Similar in size, femininity and both give off balanced outlines. Excellent heads. Good conformation. Moved soundly in all directions and in complete unison.

2nd Romeo-Dieste’s Flat Coat Retrievers. Well matched and pushed hard for 1st place. Great type. Lovely heads, dark eyes and soft expressions. Strong necks. Well angled front and back. Both are in excellent coat and condition. Happy pair that looked the part. Moved very well.

3rd Foster-Brown’s NSDT Retrievers

Day 4

1st Lucas’ Deerhounds. Eye-catching pair that looked great on the stack as the gentle breeze blew through their rugged coats. Well grown, excellent outlines with strong bone. Good heads, almost identical conformation and soundest of movers. Sensibly presented coats, excellent texture and weatherproof. Won an excellent class.

2nd Baldwin’s W/H Dachshunds. Another well matched pair and again little separates them. Excellent outlines with some ground clearance. Strong, shapely heads. Deep chests excellent front and rears Holding firm toplines at all times. Easy, sound movers. Beautifully presented, harsh coats. Liked them a lot.

3rd Bennett’s Japanese Akita Inu.
