British Chow Chow Club

Breed: Chow Chow
British Chow Chow Club 10th November 2024 I felt extremely honoured to be invited to judge the 1st Championship show of the newly merged clubs The show operated in an efficient manner, and I would like to thank the stewards for their efficient running of the ring I thank all exhibitors who entered under me giving a great entry of 60, unfortunately the entry was marred by absentees especially in bitches There are a few concerns which breeders need to address such as fronts and rears with narrowness in quite a few exhibits, a chow should have a stilted gait, but also be wide in the rear along with possessing a good chest to eliminate any tapering, and where has expression gone there also appears to be very few who still exhibit small well placed thick ears so much in keeping in our breed we also appear to be losing bone especially in the rear which shows up long hocks.
