North West Toy & Utility Society

Breed: Dalmatian

The North West Toy and Utility Society Open Show

9th November

Dalmatian

I would like to thank the committee for the invitation to judge and to the exhibitors for their entries, especially the day prior to a Club Championship Show. Although there were a number of absentees, the quality was still high. Many thanks also to my lovely and efficient stewards, Paula and Colin. You made my time in the ring so much easier and it was lovely having two friendly faces on board.

PUPPY (3, 3ab)

Sadly all three puppies entered were absent. Therefore no BPIB

JUNIOR (6, 4ab)

1st Sampson’s Dalstorm Just So Salsa

Lovely evenly marked feminine liver with a great personality, she’s outgoing and friendly just like a Dalmatian should be. She is muscling up well, has a strong neck, good chest with well sprung ribs and lovely firm topline leading into correct tailset. She has an inquisitive expression which just adds to her appeal. A very balanced and honest young lady who moved with good reach and drive.

2nd Quayle’s Cubalibre Sirius Celeste

18 month old black male who I haven’t come across before. Such a handsome boy, my only male of the day, but sadly he was a bit distracted. So nicely made, he’s developing well and is muscling up in the right places. He has good spotting, well let down pasterns and nice tight feet. With a bit more ring craft he could beat the best

POST GRADUATE (7, 3ab)

A class of four lovely liver girls

1st Qualye’s Cubalibre Wishing Star

18 month old gorgeous feminine liver girl who I’ve judged previously and she gets better and better. I just love her. She’s maturing so nicely, has a strong neck into a firm topline. Chest is developing well. She has a correct tail set, good bend of stifle and tight cat feet. Moves with purpose and ease, she looks like she could go on all day. She has deep liver pigment and is evenly spotted which just completes the picture. She’s just so well trained and attentive to her handler. I was delighted to hear that she went on to take G1 and was ultimately crowned BIS. So well deserved.

2nd Sampson’s Dalstorm Just So Salsa

Repeat of Junior. Just lost out on maturity. If there had been a RBOB it would have been hers.

3rd Willison’s Cotterspot Cotterdale Lady

Stunning liver patched girl who is really nicely made. She just sadly dropped her topline on the move today.

RES Melling’s Jemblewood Candy Floss

OPEN (7, 3ab)

1st Quayle’s Cubalibre Wishing Star

Repeat of Post Graduate. She moved like she owned the ring in this class and couldn’t be denied a 2nd class win. BOB

2nd Foster’s Perdita’s Tomorrowland JW SHCEx OSW

Sadly this stunning black bitch is having a bit of a phantom and is slightly podgey. She’s a nicely balanced bitch with a great personality. Inquisitive expression, good deep chest, nicely muscled with well sprung ribs. Tight cat feet and good movement. There’s a lot to like about her, she was unlucky to meet 1st who was on such fine form.

3rd Quayle’s Cubalibre Star Attraction

Something had spooked this liver girl today and she didn’t perform as well as I know she can. A really nice honest bitch.
