My sincere thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge at this friendly well-run show. Thank you to my excellent stewards Sue & Karen and also to all of the exhibitors who gave me the opportunity to judge their beautiful bitches. As to be expected there were some difficult choices, I was looking for type, but particularly balance and symmetry, and was delighted with my final line up.

1st Weeks & Brown Sylahra Wish you Were Mine
Pretty 5 1/2 month baby, lovely head shape, good length of muzzle and dark pigment, good length of neck, with well laid back shoulders, good return of upper arm and legs placed under the body. Adequate ribbing for age, short coupled with well developed quarters. Moved with super reach and drive for one so young. BBPIS

In my final 4 and ultimately gave her all to win the CC which I later leant made her up, many congratulations. Symmetrical and balanced from every angle. This super quality bitch had it all for me today, such a beautiful feminine balanced head, correctly proportioned with lovely pigment, dark brown eyes giving such a kind and friendly expression. Good length of neck which flowed into well laid shoulders, good length of upper arm which correctly placed the legs under her body, she had deep well sprung ribs, short coupled, well-developed quarters which were well muscled. On the move she was powerful with drive and a long stride. In gleaming coat and condition with correct tail carriage just completed the picture. BIS on the referee decision

Unlucky to meet the winner here on such top form as, although slightly longer cast than winner, she is a quality bitch all through. Appreciative of this working type who still has the essentials of the breed all be it finer all through. Pretty head of good proportions, good reach of neck, strong level topline, well-muscled quarters but slightly longer in hock than the winner. Moved soundly and stood to present a pleasing picture
3rd Callanway Clachlan of Maddouse – can’t fail to mention this dog who gave handler a bit of hard time but I was appreciative of the opportunity to judge her even laying on her back!
