I was delighted to be asked to judge at this lovely show where the committee definitely have the exhibitor at heart.

We had a good size ring if a little uneven in places and a big thank you to our steward Callum who kept everything running smoothly.

Thank you to the exhibitors for your entry I had a lovely day judging your butterflies and I was thrilled to see my BOB going BIS under Marie Thorpe.

Special Beginners Dog 2 entries 0 absent

1st , RCC, BSB Ms V Fenn Webber – Tarnock Pocket Scotch

Black/white just over 12 months old, a correctly balanced head, with good stop, correct eye. Well set ears with fringes coming

along he used them well. He has a good length of neck, into a straight front, he is nicely ribbed with good length of loin in to

strong well angled quarters. He has a well set tail and his coat is fine and well presented. Elegant young dog. Despite a relatively

inexperienced handler this young dog gave a super performance moving freely and true. His owners face was a picture on being

given the RCC. Good luck with him and work on the handling.

2nd Miss J Swallow – Celebirty Frane David Beckham (imp HRV)

4 years old, black/white pleasing head with good stop, correct slightly round eye, enough neck, good front in to a good body, nice quarters.

A little heavy coated and would like a bit more length of leg but moved well. Handled sympathetically by his young handler.

1st, BVIB Mr & Mrs Thornton Ch Milbu Ciciobello At Shevid (Imp) JW

7 year old, black/white, lots to like with good head ratio and stop, correct slightly round eye, good ear set and fringes, he used them well,

good front in to nice body and good quarters, level top line, well set tail with desired handle.Correct fine coat presented well. His young

handler needs to move a fraction faster to let this dog flow in movement.

3 very different types and all very unsettled.

1st, BPD Mr & Mrs Davidson – Northlyte Silver Surfer

Black/white 7 months old, a sweet puppy, I loved his head and expression, correct slight round eye, nice neck length, good front in to a nice body

and good quarters, straight top line and well set tail, he moved well and with more encouragement from his handler he will find his confidence this

little dog will find his feet.

I really wish handlers would speak to their dogs and use bait especially when they lack confidence. In the challenges with an experienced handler

he was going much better and enjoying himself.

2nd Mr & Mrs Mowatt – Iotastar Spirit Of The North

red sable, 7 months old, a fraction short in muzzle, eye shape good, well set ears which he used, straight front with good body, good length of loin,

good quarters. Another I would like a bit more leg, moved well. Well set tail.

3rd Mrs P Taylor – Pamhurst Neeps & Tatties

1st Mrs P Taylor – Pamhurst Neeps & Tatties

7 month old black/white, he was 3rd in MPD, he had settled a bit in this class as was rather over-rawed and reactive in the previous class.

Top end of size but his head is correct with a good stop, large mobile ears, good neck length, nicely bodied with good top line, a fraction straight in shoulder

but good turn of stifle, moved ok when he settled. Well set tail. His handler worked hard to help him enjoy this class. Shorten your lead so you have more

contact with him and a little more control.

2nd Mr & Mrs Mowatt – Iotastar’s Bobby Dazzler

Red sable 10 months old, a pretty head, with good ear set, neck a tad short, lacking body condition, quarters ok, tail set ok, his movement was unsettled

but another who wasn’t very happy. I would like a tad more leg length.

1st Mrs Olaf – Tarnock Love In Paris

13 months old, red sable, a fine elegant dog, lovely head with good ratio of muzzle to skull, correct eye, very expressive lad, well set ears, good neck length, good front and body, good top line, well set tail, correct fine coat presented well, he moved the best in this class.

2nd Lady Thompson & Austin & Stanbury – Inixia Glamour Boy At Jhanakia

15 months old, black/white stronger in head than one, good mobile ears with fringing coming in, good length of neck, good front, good body with level top line, lacks in rear angles which shows in his movement. Tail set ok, correct fine coat, presented in good condition.

22 months old black/white muzzle, skull ratio good, well set ears which he used well, good length of neck, front good, straight top line,

nicely bodied, quarters ok, well set tail, moved well in front, would like a stronger rear, coat fine and well presented.

2nd Mrs Taylor – Pamhurst One and Only

red sable 3 ½ years old, larger stamp than one, head ratio good but lacks the blaze, good mobile ears, enough neck, good top line, ok quarters,

just a fraction longer in loin than ideal. Moved ok

3rd Ms Fenn Webber – Meldrum Reiver Melangel

2 ½ year old, tri, pleasing head and expression, well set ears which he used well, just enough neck, good front into good rib cage, height/length ratio correct,

a well set tail, moved free & lightly. Correct fine coat. Overall pleaseing type

2nd Mrs Collins – Kentwone Magnum

4 year old, red/white, pleasing head and expression, good ear set, nicely bodied, quarters ok, well carried tail, moved ok.

A lovely class of dogs.

1st , DCC, BOS Mrs Olof – Ch Tarnock Wiggle Giggle JW

22 months old, black/white, this young male is a lovely type and caught my eye as he entered the ring, lovely head with a super expression, correct muzzle/skull ratio, large mobile ears that he uses so well, a good neck and clean straight front, well bodied, good length of loin, great rear with a correct well carried tail,

presented in excellent order with a correct fine coat. Loved him and he pushed hard in the challenge but decided not to co-operate at the last minute!

See both this dog and RCC sired by the same dog he certainly stamps them.

2nd Mrs Whitehill – Northlyte Buffalo Bill

2 ½ year old tri, another nice type, a fraction shorter in muzzle than one, good stop with correct eye, good ear set and he used them well, enough neck, good front, well sprung rib cage, adequate quarters, good top line, well set tail, correct fine coat, he moved and showed well.

3rd Lady & Mrs Thompson & Austin – Skyvana Catch Me At Jhanakia JW

10 year old tri what a grand lady she is, a good head with well set ears, correct eye, enough neck in to good body well set correct placed tail, good top line,

moved extremely well for her age. In the challenge the heat and a different handler she had had enough.

black/white, 7 months old, small girl with delightful head properties, everything in the right place which showed in her light free movement and thoroughly

enjoying herself as a puppy should, excellent tail set. Delighted to give her BP over her litter brother who with better handling and encouragement will give

his sister some serious competition.

2nd Mrs, Miss Anderson, Miss & Mr Keiran – Northlyte Phoenix Rising

tri litter sister to 1, similar applies as equally as typy but being picky not quite the neck length of her sister.

13 months old, nice overall type with a good head, well set ears, nicely made, well set and carried tail, just needs more work to show her and move

her better.

20th months only, balanced head, ear set ok, good length of neck, good straight front, body ok a fraction long in loin which makes he look over long, rear ok with well set tail, moved ok.

3 yrs old, Strong in head for me but ratio good with good stop, well set ears , good body, rear ok, slight low carried tail, movement erratic today.

just over 2 years old, slightly stronger in head than one, well set ears used well, would prefer a fraction longer neck, front ok, nicely bodied, good length of loin and straight top line well carried and set tail, moved ok

The first two made for the most difficult decision of the day as both have many attributes that meet the standard and were presented and shown too perfection by their experienced handlers. I loved them both so Thank you for bringing them for me to judge.

1st, BCC, BOB, BIS Mrs Ryan, Mrs Roosens , Miss Goessens, Mr Peach – Multi Ch, Ch Uppercut Daydream Believers With Feorlig (imp Bel) Ww’24 JW

3 ½ year old tri who exudes quality and elegance, she has a beautiful head with a super soft expression, with a correct head ratio and stop, fabulous ears with good fringes and she uses them so well, a neck of good length, clean correct front into a well ribbed body, good length of loin in to strong quarters, good top line, well set and carried tail, her coat is fine and presented beautifully. She moves with light and free movement and moved true up and back. Good Hair feet.

Delighted to award her the BCC and BOB over the lovely young dog, absolutely over the moon the BIS judge Maria Thorpe thought her worthy of BIS. Congratulations.

2nd, RCC Mr Robb – Ch Gleniren Miracle Starmaker

22 months old, this young lady is a smaller frame than one but she is elegant and an ultimate showgirl, another beautiful head, correct ratio with good stop with well set ears used very well, good length of neck into good front. Good body with correct height/length ration, correct top line, well set tail, correct fine coat presented perfectly, going round she moves freely but today with her enthusiasm she was a tad untidy behind in the class which split the decision between them. She returned in the challenge and settled and moved better to win the RCC.
