Breed: Bracco Italiano

Bracco Italiano

MPD (1): Towns & Coghlan’s Mistrato Bloody Brilliant (Imp Pol) NAF TAF, w/o dog of 6 months, lovely type overall, supple ear leathers, oval bone through the forearms, good ribbing, stands on good tight feet for one so young, correct rear angles. Moved well despite the down pour. Very raw compared to the winner of BPD at the moment.

PD (1): 1 BPD Dodd & Struthers-Lake’s Elfrindew Yankee Doodle, w/o of 10 months, really drives away on the move from strong rear pasterns. Good strong oval bone through the forearms, correct turn of stifle. Needs to drop & fill out through the front which will come with maturity. A promising boy who looks lovely stacked, well handled.

JD (4, 3A): 1 RBD Sladden’s Canemamans Two Timer, 15 months chestnut roan, divergent head planes, open nostrils, good angulation in the front pasterns, good spring of rib, correct bend of stifle with well-muscled thighs. He has a strong rear end & drives off well from his rear pasterns. He could have a better return of upperarm but otherwise smart & will get better with maturity. Well presented.

PGD (4, 2a): 1 C Two Timer; 2 Phillips Bushwacker Donnie Darko, initially caught my eye as the likely class winner. Full of presence & type. On the day, his spirited nature & enthusiasm slightly got the better of him, making it harder for his handler to showcase him to full effect. With time, he’ll undoubtedly fulfil his promise as he is a quality boy.

LD (5, 3a): 1 Pipes & Groves’ Bushwacker Don Juan JW, o/w dog coming up 2, stacks up well & appeals in outline with balanced angles fore & aft, strong bone through the forearms, good muscle-tone. He moved better than 2 Dodd’s Silvestre Golden Dragon, larger in size, strong oval bone, good front assembly, correct turn of stifle. Not as confident as 1.

OD (8, 2): 1 BD & BOB Badia’s Fr Ch Silvio Du Clos Des Petites Vignes, stand out winner both standing & moving, quality chestnut roan, anatomically well made & lovely to go over, super outline with correct topline. Lovely chiselling under the eyes, with a lovely expression - certainly noble looking. Elbows close to the chest wall, stands on compact feet, good bend of stifle, well-muscled quarters. Super mover – scopey & with so much power. A real stallion. I get the impression any handler holding the lead needs to really hold on - such is his power! Well presented by a skilful handler; 2 BV Sanderson’s Sh Ch Owlspoint Trouble Again JW ShCEx OSW, white & chestnut male of 7 years but you would never know it. Presented with steady precision & concentration, good size & bone, strong through the forearms, kind eye, open nostrils, brisket down to elbow, good rear angulation. Preferred length of stride of 1; 3 Sladden & Forbes Canemamans Primo Al Fine JW.

SBD (1): 1 Szulzycka’s Braccorion’s All or Nothing, chestnut roan of 2 years, appeals in outline with correct topline, good body proportions, prominent occiput, divergent planes, open nostrils, good front assembly, strong bone, correct bend of stifle, strong rear pasterns. Moved well when he settled. Well presented.

GCDS Dog (1): 1 Pipes & Groves’ Bushwacker Demetrio, o/w coming up 4 years, almost square appearance, correct length of neck, well-muscled throughout. Elbow could be tighter to the chest wall.

PB (3): 1 BP Towns’ Callaiscroft Oh La La, chestnut roan of nearly 12 months, good body proportions, feminine but has good bone with it, appealed in head – pretty, good front assembly, correct topline, really appeals when stacked & moving. Took a turn to settle into her stride but once she did, she looked the part & a scopey ground covering stride was evident; 2 Smith’s Teverlarni Lucky Star, chestnut roan of 11 months, nice head shape, brisket down to elbow, good body proportions. Didn’t like the cold & wet conditions so was quite rigid & tense in her body but preferred her movement over 3 Woodhouse’s Elfrindew Bye Baby Buntin.

JB (3,1a): Best Special Beginnner 1 Worgan’s Braccorion's Corrr Blimey, white & chestnut of just over 12 months, stacks up well with correct topline, real quality to her & she has bone & substance with femininity. Good through the front, scopey gait – definitely needs a big ring. Lovely type; 2 Sladden & Webber’s Canemamans Two Faced, orange roan of 15 months, brisket down to elbow, well-muscled throughout, moved well but preferred the bone & length of body of 1.

PGB (2): 1 Sladden & Webber’s Paris Mon Tresore D’amoure (Imp Pol), chestnut roan of 2 years, stacks up well, good ribbing, correct bend of stifle, strength through the rear. Moved okay once settled. In fit condition; 2 Donovan’s Whitgun Rhythm Of The Night, orange roan of 2 years, appealed in head - pretty, strong bone, good front assembly & lovely nature. Felt she was well made but just carrying a little extra weight today & needs a little more tone.

LB (5): 1 BB Towns’ Braccorion’s Piccorino Pick Me orange roan of 2 years, lovely quality, stacks & moves really well, good outline with correct topline, good bone & angulation. Feminine but with strength to her, sloping front pasterns, brisket down to elbow, scopey free gait; 2 RBB Hurst’s You Can Crown The Queen (Imp Hun) TAF, very well presented, stacks up well, brisket down to elbow, good turn of stifle, rear pasterns vertical to the ground, well-muscled quarters. Super mover – drives & has an easy action which is lovely to watch. Preferred length of body of 1; 3 Steel’s Piccorino Per Piacere to Juhua.

OB (3): 1 Sanderson’s Whitgun U'can't Touch This at Walwal JW, orange roan of 3 years, won the class on movement, good angulation to front pasterns, good rear angulation, rear pasterns vertical to the ground, well presented; 2 Stockton’s Bushwacker Allegra at Marlablue, chestnut roan of 6 years, nice proportions, strong through the rear end. Little reluctant to move through the terrible down pours; 3 Savage’s Silvestre Blow Me A Kiss.

SBB (3): Best Special Beginnner 1 B Corrr Blimey; 2 W Rhythm of The Night; 3 E Bye Baby Buntin.

GCDS Bitch

(2): 1 B Allegra at M; 2 W Rhythm of The Night.
