1st: 510 RUAL - KEOGH, Mrs N I Dreamed A Dream Moravia Campanella At Gilcoru. Loved this dog for type. He is ‘of rugged appearance’ which will always appeal to a breed specialist Judge. Excellent proportions. Strong head, muzzle and typical large nose. Good reach and arch of neck. Moderate front angles. Holds his topline well and has the correct angle to croup with low tail set. Well angled rear leading to low set hocks. Needs time to fill his frame and can settle a touch going away but he has a good depth of stride and one for the future. Lovely coat, rich colour and harsh texture. Pleased to award him the Res CC.

1st: 516 THORP, Mrs E Gilcoru Malbec D'brie Jw. On the stack this male appeals. Good head proportions with strength to both skull and muzzle. Good reach and arch of neck leading to a well angled shoulder and return of upperarm. Firm topline and nicely bodied. Excellent rear quarters and low set hocks. Moves soundly, but rather hesitant on the day and could put a bit more in on the move. Low tail carriage, showing typical ‘J’.

2nd: 498 BIDDLECOMBE, Mrs C Chavell European Secret (ai) Medium sized fawn. Liked his rustic outlook. Lovely head for proportions and strength. Medium neck. Needs a bit more maturity all through but, overall, pleasing conformation. Sound mover, covering the ground soundly. Super rich colour and harshly textured coat. A promising young male with more to come in the future, I’m sure.

Class 342 LB (6 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: 501 FOSTER, Mrs C Fostebrie Hope's Sensation JW. A delightfully feminine fawn. Excellent head, correctly proportioned with some strength to skull and muzzle. Good reach of neck leading to well laid front angles. Enough chest for her size. Excellent topline. Short loins. Correct angle to croup. Low tail set with required ‘J’. Excellent rear. She can, perhaps, come up on the leg a bit to completely balance her but, overall, she is a worthy representative of a functional, feminine fawn. Shows a good depth of stride from profile, true coming towards and plenty of rear drive. Well presented dry, harsh coat. Thought the Breed would be hers on the day but not as settled when coming back into the challenge so the nod went to her kennel mate. A future Champion, I’m sure. CC, her second. Good luck with her title.

2nd: 513 SKEGGS, Ms Jacqueline Chavell Secret Vision (ai) Slightly different in type to 1st. Pleasing in many aspects. Good head with strength to muzzle and correct outline both on the stack and on the move. Needs to fill out her frame at present and a touch soft in topline at times. Very good angulation and an excellent coat for texture and colour. Moved out soundly, with a moderate stride.

Firm, level topline. Short, muscular loins. Excellent profile movement but was ‘crabbing’ out and back on the day. Excellent tail set. Dry coat.

2nd: 503 HADDOCK, Mr & Mrs Peter Michael Gilcoru Intuition D'brie. Very much the type of black that appeals. Strongly built but feminine in outlook. Excellent head, strong muzzle and dark expressive eye. Good neck and balanced angles. A touch long in loin and can settle more on the ‘go around’, sound though and was close-up. Excellent tail carriage.
