Paignton & District Fanciers' Association

Breed: Miniature Pinscher

I would like to give my thanks to the committee for the invitation to judge and also to the exhibitors for bringing their lovely dogs for me to assess. My two stewards were excellent and kept the ring running very smoothly.

SBD/B (1 Entries) Abs: 0  1st: MCLOUGHLIN’S Krieger's Kilted Dragon. Two year old B/T compact and square in shape, broad chest, moderately tucked up but would prefer more sweep of stifle. He has high set ears, dark oval eyes with dark rims and was presented and shown well. Best Special Beginner and pleased to see he took SB Group 4.

Class PD (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: URWIN’s Ms Jaegerson Kingsman. This mature nine month old red dog had a classic head with a dark nose and pigment, open nostrils and dark oval eyes with black rims. This was a sturdy compact puppy with a good depth of chest, lovely tail carriage and when settled had hackney movement. This young dog impressed me and I’m sure he will have a bright future. BPIB 2nd: MOYE’s Ymar Tamborine Man. This red dog was only 6 months old and was less confident, but he had dark pigment, straight front legs and looked good in profile.

Class JD (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: HEWITT’s Ymar Joker Man For Catamyrann Another six month old puppy who was more confident than his litter brother who was 2nd in previous class; he had an elongated skull, broad forechest with straight legs, cat feet and good sweep of stifle.

Class PGD NO ENTRIES

Class LD (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: MCLOUGHLIN’s Krieger's Kilted Dragon. (see special beginners)

Class OD (3 Entries) Abs: 0 A quality class 1st: HEWITT’s Ch Adurus Sundance Kid For Catamyrann JW. This red dog screamed breed type to me: well balanced, short coupled, sturdy and compact with a good tail set and carriage, straight front and good sweep of stifle. He had a typical elongated skull, dark almond eyes and small erect ears. He looked good in profile and on the move and this won him the class. CC & BOB 2nd: JAMES’ Ch Jaegerson The EdgeJW. This two year old B/T had dark oval eyes with black rims, an elongated skull, neat ears, a strong graceful neck, broad chest, cat feet and good sweep of stifle. A lovely dog but I preferred the more sturdy compact shape of 1st. RCC 3rd: WATKINS & BUGDEN’s Ch Hawksflight Hot Pursuit JW

Class VD (2 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: JAMES Ch Jaegerson Dress To Impress JW. This mature eight year old dog was full of himself and enjoying being in the ring. He was sturdy with a well developed forechest, moderate tuck up and good sweep of stifle. He had an elongated head with dark oval eyes and pigment. I liked him a lot and considered him for the RCC.

Class PB (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: JAMES’ Eight month old mature red puppy who had reach of neck, straight front, spring of rib and good sweep of stifle. He had dark oval eyes and black pigment, high set tail and correct carriage. Promising puppy. 2nd: MOYE’s Ymar Our Lady In Red: Just six months and so not as mature as 1st; she was short and compact with adequate neck and turn of stifle, but needs more time and confidence.

Class JB NO ENTRIES

Class PGB (1 Entries) Abs: 1

Class LB (1 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: COLBORNE-BABER’s Danton Buttercup At Borneways JW This two year old red had a feminine head and was short coupled and compact. She had spring of rib and depth of chest and good angulation at the rear.

Class OB (3 Entries) Abs: 0 1st: STRACEY’s Ch Krieger's Kiss'n'tell JW. Two year old B/T who I see is the daughter of my BCC; she has a narrow elongated and feminine skull, correctly placed ears and a strong graceful neck . I liked her depth of chest, sweep of stifle, moderate tuck up and correct tail carriage. RCC 2nd: URWIN’s Vickstock Wow Aneeva JW. This red girl was smaller and more compact but not as mature as 1st. She had dark eyes, correct topline, straight front and tail set and carriage. I liked her size and shape but she lacked the maturity of 1st. 3rd: BUGDEN’s Hawksflight Hotta Than Hell

Class VB (3 Entries) Abs: 1 1st: STRACEY’s Ch Krieger's Dark 'n' Delicious JW Sh.CM ShCEx. I couldn’t believe that this B/T bitch was 8 years old she was in such great condition and her coat gleamed. She was well balanced, elegant and short coupled with narrow skull and dark eyes. BCC & BVIB and I was delighted to see that she won the Veteran group, well done. 2nd: GRIFFITHS’ Ch Keljantzi Xciting Prospect For Amious Jw, Shcm Another eight year old in good condition but bigger all through; she had depth of chest and was short coupled, unlucky to meet 1st who was on top form today.
