Class Minor Puppy Dog

1st Place    (Mrs F & Mr M Buchanan & Maclaren) Tarmachan Mac Talla a super quality 8-month-old youngster of notable proportions and overall shape making for a very satisfying appearance. Needs to mature in coat. He has all the essentials in bone and body and excellent balance in angulations front and rear. Attractive head shape, dark, well-shaped eyes and pleasing ears all together presenting a confident, amiable expression. True front of proportional width and with good fore-chest. Well-made body with a firm level top-line and moderately angled hindquarters. Impressive true, free and positive movement with pleasing reach and drive with good width parallel hocks. My Best Puppy in Breed and a deserved Reserve Dog CC.

Class  Puppy Dog

1st Place    (Mrs K Collier) Jayanel Alfabeti Spageti a 11-month-old well boned and well developed typy male. He is of pleasing make and shape, size, body and proportions. Attractive head of good shape and expression; head set well on to a lengthy, strong neck. He is at a slightly rangy stage in development losing stifle angle. Moved in true puppy style tending to slightly crab but looked good in side gait.

Class Junior Dog

1st Place    (Miss A O'Day) Rocky Succession of Baron at Madifrey (Imp Pol) a 13-month-old substantial male of good size but is heavier in body cover than I would prefer. Head set on a strong neck laid into a well boned front with moderate angulations front and rear. Sturdy body having enough spring of rib and firm topline with a broad loin. A free mover but was close in front and behind.

Class Yearling Dog

1st Place    (Mrs F & Mr M Buchanan & Maclaren) Tarmachan Tre Valli a nearly 2-year-old shapely male who is close costed and has a well-defined profile. Attractive head and expression. True front with nicely developed forequarters. Pleasing tight elbows with desirable spring of rib and ribbed well back with moderately angled strong hindquarters. Free and purposeful mover but hindquarters tended to move to one side

Class Open Dog

1st Place    (Mrs P & Miss C Mcgregor) Claela Lets Drink A Toast a 2½-year-old ‘Houndy’ male of pleasing overall body shape and proportions. Attractive breed typical head set on a good length, clean strong neck. True front with desirable fore-chest and spring and length of ribbing. Rough coated and firm in body cover and topline with satisfying angulation and width of hindquarters. Moved with a true ground covering action. My Dog CC winner.

2nd Place    (Mrs P & Miss C Mcgregor) Ch/Ir Ch Claela Infinity and Beyond a 4½-year-old rough coated mature male of good size and lengthy body. Attractive masculine head set on good length neck. Pleasing front although would prefer more lay back of shoulder. Moderate spring of rib, topline tended to rise to rear. Moved with a free action and better than 3rd.

3rd Place    (Misses C L, E R & K A Cooper & O'Brien) Ch Jayanel Royal Affair at Katillien 

Class  Veteran Dog

1st Place     (Mr C & Mrs A Makey) Multi Ch Gairside Good Lord JW ShCM ShCEx Cw19 VW a breed typical 10-year-old rough coated male who has pleasing size, body proportions and balance. Attractive masculine and typy head which I just preferred to 2nd. Proportional width and true front, sturdy body with a firm enough top-line and moderately angled, well boned hindquarters. Free moving and the better mover of the class. In commendable condition for his age. Best Veteran in Breed.

2nd Place     Ch/Ir Ch Tarmachan Ice Cool VW (Mr R & Mr A R Bailey & Yates) an 8½-year-old smart male who presents a pleasing standing side profile. Tended to be a bit loose and lacking in muscle tone. True front, adequate spring of rib and moderately angled hindquarters. Tended to be close front and rear on the move.

Class  Breeders Dog

1st Place   Ch/Ir Ch Claela You and I Are A Team (Mrs P & Miss C Mcgregor) a sturdy shapely male who has an imposing appearance. Pleasing head set on strong neck. True, well-boned front, well-covered body being broad across the loin and nicely angled, good width hindquarters. Free and eager movement.

Class Yearling Bitch

1st Tarmachan D’ora Ligue (Mrs A Roberts) a smart 23-month-old quality bitch who has a close coat but clean, defined lines all through. Attractive shape and proportions and well balanced in appearance when standing. Attractive head shape with correctly set dark eyes producing a typy, friendly expression. True front, good length neck, well-made body with level top line and moderately angled hindquarters. A free, steady mover when settled. My Reserve Bitch CC winner.

Class. Open Bitch

1st Place     Jour Après Jour Snow in April (Mrs A N Huikeshoven) a shapely 3-year-old bitch of excellent body make, shape and sufficient size. A real workmanlike hound with notable sound conformation all through. She is typically feminine and attractive in head. Overall, she is balanced and well proportioned, firm body which is furnished with close, correctly textured coat.  One who caught my eye with her pleasing profile shape well-made body and her purposeful, sound lively movement displaying all the noble confidence expected of this breed. My Bitch CC and Best of Breed winner.

2nd Place Ch Tarmachan Clootie Dumpling (Mrs F & Mr M Buchanan & Maclaren) a nearly 4-year-old mature bitch who has a ‘Houndy’ breed typical appearance; Pleasing in head and amiable in expression. True and well-boned front with proportional width across the chest. She is very attractive in profile being sturdy and satisfying in overall length to height   proportions. She moved with true front extension but would prefer more rear extension and width behind.

3rd Place     Wilmit Mirabelle for Boneveon (Mr R & Mr A R Bailey & Yates) 

Class  Veteran Bitch

1st Place     Ch Tarmachan Black Ice Ww18 VW (Mrs F, Mr M & Miss A Buchanan, Maclaren & O’day) a substantial 8½-year-old quality breed typical and feminine mature bitch. She displays plenty of breed characteristics. She has an attractive typy head and is well enough constructed all-through having spring, depth and length of ribbing and tight elbows. Stands well over the ground but lacked true action in front and was close hocked behind.

1st Place  Ir Ch Claela Sweet Afton at Arona (Mrs P & Miss C Mcgregor) a 2½-year-old bitch who is well made and has a very attractive shapely side profile which I preferred to 2nd. She is balanced and all in proportion. True front and well-made forequarters; pleasing depth, spring and she is ribbed well back; nicely angulated hindquarters and firm of stance. Attractive outline and correctly textured coat and was the better mover of this class.

 2nd Ch Tarmachan Miss Impatiens (Mrs F & Mr M Buchanan & Maclaren) a 6-year-old smart looking bitch who pleases in head both in shape and proportions. She is well covered in body especially over the loin and underline. Firm in topline and stands well over the ground. Free moving but tended to be close hocked in rear action.
