German Spitz

Many thanks for what was a nice entry both in terms of number and quality. The atmosphere around the ring was very sporting and all dogs were clean and well put down. I thought that both my BOB winners were of superb type and was pleased to see my Mittel BOB shortlisted in a strong Utility group. None were clearly oversized.

Mittel

Veteran Dog. 1. Ch Longsdale Turning Tables at Cwrtafon. Very smart dog who is quality through and is a very worthy title holder. Good head piece with a lovely eye and well set ears. Good foreface with a decent underjaw. Nice overall proportions. Just if I was to be critical, he falls off a fraction at croup. Excellent hind quarters. Well-muscled and in A1 coat and condition. Not using his tail today as I have seen he can.

Open Dog. Two very nice blacks. Both title holders and both worthy of the accolade. Little to split them. 1. Ch Izlou Shiver Me Timbers. Loved his overall size and balance. Good head of correct proportions and lovely eye. Excellent forehand. Stands on good bone and the best of feet. Good tail set and good tail furnishings. Moved very well. BOB. Did well in a good group to be shortlisted.2. Ch Longsdales Rebel Rouser at Cwrtafon JW. Many of the attributes of 1 also apply here. A lovely male. Just preferred lay back of shoulder on 1. Rebel Rouser is a super mover and foot fall is correct. In good coat.

Special Beginners. 1. Lindcoly Feeling Fizzy. Quality bitch. I really liked this very smart 10-month-old who I thought of beautiful type. Lovely head of correct proportions. Good eye. Correct ear shape. Nice front assembly. Compact. Correct tail set. Good overall body proportions. Very sound fore and aft with a lovely side gait. Slightly soft topcoat but her tailcoat is harsh.

Puppy Bitch. 1. Lindcoly Feeling Fizzy. Winner of SB.

Junior Bitch. 1. Lindcoly Feeling Fizzy. Winner of SB and PB.

Post Graduate Bitch. 1. Izlou The Truffle Maker. Black. Nice type. Excellent head and expression. Lovely front, good bone and excellent feet. Well ribbed. Good topline and tailset. Not overdone behind. 2. Cadasaro Gucci. B/W. Nice type with a pleasing head. Correct size. Good neck and shoulder. Well ribbed. Level topline. Not using her tail, and not so collected. She was unfortunately put off by the gun blanks being used as bird deterrents across the fields. Preferred 1 for overall shape and balance. When she collected herself, she was a sound mover with correct footfall.

Open Bitch. 1. Cwrtafon Cosmic Love. Black who is very nice for overall type. Very pleasing head and expression. Good ears. Nice pigment. Well made throughout and covered with an excellent coat of excellent texture. Good bone and feet. Pleasing front. Well bodied. Well angulated rear. Moved very well indeed. 2. Izlou Gossip Girl JW Gold bitch. This bitch really appealed for her size, shape and balance. Very sound. Most lovely head with super pigment. Unfortunately, not carrying any coat at the moment which cost her higher honours.
