LEEDS CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW 27th JULY 2025

BRACCO ITALIANO

SBD/B (3)

1st: WOODHOUSE, Elfrindew Bye Baby Buntin

A quality well-constructed youngster. She has correct head proportions with divergent planes, a strong occipital bone, correct muzzle depth, and good ear length. She displays a square outline when stacked, with adequate shoulder length and correct rear angulation. Though her movement was initially unsteady, she improved throughout her classes and moved well with a true fast trot to take Best Puppy. Very promising for the future.

2nd: RUSH & DUGGAN, Kelevra Cioccolatino

Pleasing masculine head with correct proportions, enough stop and kind eye. Deep well developed chest firm topline and well ribbed body. When stacked slightly longer cast that my winner, has correct rear angulation but would prefer more rear drive on the move.

Puppy Dog (2)

1st: COGHLAN & TOWNS, Mistrato Bloody Brilliant (Imp Pol)

A seven month raw male showing the appropriate development for his age. His head is typical, lean and long with sufficient muzzle depth and a gentle expression. He has correct front assembly, a strong neck, and developing chest depth, and is well balanced overall with correct sweep of stifle. Demonstrates notable confidence for his age however his movement was not as together compared to the puppy bitch in the challenge. BPD

Junior Dog (5)

1st: HOLDSTOCK, FRETWELL & MARKIN, Callaiscroft Esprit De Vie For Amicofedele JW

This dog has an excellent masculine head, lean cheeks with correct divergence and rich eye colour with kind expression. He displays a strong neck, well-structured shoulders, and is well ribbed and solid over the loin. When stacked, he stands out in the ring and commands attention. Presented in a glossy jacket and tip top muscular condition. He has excellent well muscled rear quarters that gave him powerful movement. I seriously considered him for the Res CC just lacking maturity, will no doubt do very well in the future.

2nd: BOWLEY, Gunsyn Superstitious

Another pleasing youngster presenting a correct outline. I really liked his head of correct proportions, occiput apparent, good muzzle depth. Correct forehand with elbows tight in and good width to chest and well ribbed. He has sufficient rear angulation with good thigh width and strong hocks that provided effective drive from behind.

3rd: LONGMAN, Callaiscroft Je Ne Sais Quoi

Postgraduate Dog (1 )

1st: PHILLIPS Bushwacker Donnie Darko

This dog has a super head, correct plains, lovely eye colour and soft expression. He is very well constructed throughout and stands square. Shoulders are well laid with good length and he has plenty of body depth with good oval bone and strong pasterns. Moved on a good stride with correct head and tail carriage.

Limit Dog (6)

1st: GROVES & PIPES, Bushwacker Don Juan JW

I found this two year old male full of quality. Excellent head, noble expression with correct planes and divergence. Super forequarters and well off for bone and substance, short loin and shapely stifles. He moved well showing power and extension and keeping his topline. He is just lacking the mature finish yet of the open dogs for top honours, I’m sure his time will come. Presented in hard condition.

2nd: BELL Whitgun Renegade Master At Owlspoint Jw Shcex Osw

Excels in head with correct proportions, good eye shape and colour. He is well off for bone, excellent shoulders and front, good chest width and well ribbed. He is strong over croup with tail well set and adequate rear angulation. His colour and markings are appealing and has taut elastic coat. He is a sound mover but did not have the extended gait of my winner today.

3rd: WARBURTON, Owlspoint Loads Of Trouble At Heberhouse JW

Open Dog (9)

1st: BOWLEY, Gunsyn Ginspiration

This class consisted of top quality mature males and was very closely contested. My first immediately appealed in profile for his overall correct balance and super angulation both fore and aft. His chest is well filled, excellent forehand, strong pasterns and compact feet. He possesses a most handsome headpiece, lean with appropriate divergence, sufficient muzzle depth and large nose. He was presented in glossy coat and moved at a consistent pace with extension and drive. My CC & BOB and pleased to see him shortlisted in a quality gundog group, well done.

2nd: BADIA, Fr Ch Silvio Du Clos Des Petites Vignes (Imp) Fra

A very flashy dog, brown roan, scores in head with correct planes with deep muzzle, expressive eye and well chiselled below. Built on a smaller frame than my winner, he has a strong neck leading to correct shoulders of good length, with chest deep and broad. Hindquarters are strong and well muscled with good width to thighs. He was moving at an extremely fast pace and not as co-ordinated in rear drive as my winner. Presented in great muscular condition. Res CC

3rd: SANDERSON, Sh Ch Owlspoint Trouble Again JW ShCEx OSW

Veteran Dog (1)

1st: 5117 SANDERSON Sh Ch Owlspoint Trouble Again JW ShCEx OSW

Scores highly in head, lean cheeks with good eye shape and colour. Balanced in profile with square outline and very well constructed throughout. He has a strong neck with adequate dewlap, best of shoulders and front with correct width between blades, well ribbed and firm loin. He is an attractive rich colour and presented in gleaming coat. Moved out well.

Puppy Bitch (2)

1st: Elfrindew Bye Baby Buntin (repeat)

Junior Bitch (4)

1st: MCANDREW & COOPER, Gunsyn Supercala In Brackenmist

Super feminine head with correct planes, good eye shape and colour. Shoulders are well laid and of good length, adequate depth to chest, clean underline. She has well angulated quarters with strong loin and broad rump. Needs time but a very promising future prospect. Presented in shining coat and well muscled.

2nd: CRITCHLEY Bracciano Now Or Never JW

Not as mature as my winner, appealing feminine head with correct divergence, kind eye with correct colour. Attractive orange colour with dense coat. She is well proportioned in both shape and body with good depth of chest and well ribbed back. Well angulated rear quarters would prefer more drive from behind.

Limit Bitch (8)

1st: HURST You Can Crown The Queen Naf

I found this bitch most appealing in head, kind expression, lean and has correct planes and pronounced occipital bone. She is feminine throughout yet with ample oval bone and substance. When stacked she presents a super outline with balanced angles both fore and aft, demonstrating correct sweep to stifle. Plenty of width and depth to chest, well ribbed, firm loin and correct tailset. Came into her own on the move, which won her top honours, she is accurate with a typical extended fast stride, covering the ground and is extremely sound both coming and going, in tandem with her handler. My CC winner.

2nd: BOWLEY, Sobers Cosmica With Gunsyn

Stood out for her overall balance and correct angulation. Very appealing in head, feminine throughout, long and lean, well chiselled under eyes which are correct colour and shape. Shoulders well laid with ample upperarm and strong pasterns. She is well ribbed and has correct croup and tailset. Out moved by my winner for first place.

3rd: JACKSON, Polcevera's S Genova

Open Bitch (9)

1st: SMITH Teverlarni Secret Dreams

This was a highly contested class, my first was a quality bitch that presents a typical square outline in profile. Appealing head in profile with pronounced occiput, good eye colour and well chiselled below. Excellent forehand, underline a little loose, but she was not on her own. Correct topline with slight rise to croup and correct tailset. On the move she has good reach, maintaining her topline and drives well from behind. Her handler got the best out of her to win the Res CC

2nd: DODD & HAYES, Bushwacker Dolly Daydream

This bitch presented an appealing outline, very well balanced and solidly built throughout with good oval bone and very pleasing angulation both fore and aft. Excellent forechest, enough neck and is well ribbed. Her head is appealing, soft expression, correct planes and well set ears. On the move she covered the ground well with strong rear action, just not as tidy in front movement as my winner.

3rd: BOWLEY Sh Ch Gunsyn Gineva

Veteran Bitch (4)

This was a super class of veterans all a credit to their owners.

1st: PEARSON Int Ch & NI Ch & Ir Sh Ch & Sh Ch Braccorions Nesta Vipa

I was extremely impressed with this seven year old bitch from her super typical outline to her extended driving movement. She has excellent balance and substance, best of fronts, correct separated blades and well angulated behind. Her head is typical, feminine and proportionate with a beautiful expression. I considered her in the challenge, what a very worth Show Champion of the breed. Best Veteran.

2nd: CRITCHLEY, Sh Ch Braccorion's Never Say Never JW

Can’t believe this quality bitch is a veteran already, she is litter sister to my first place and one I have greatly admired in the past in her younger years and she is still looking remarkable. An appealing bitch with good bone and substance. She has a feminine lean head with pleasing eye colour, enough neck and deep chest. Good shoulders and well sprung ribs. She moved soundly and with plenty of drive holding her topline well.
