Birmingham DS. Flat Coated Retrievers

Having judged this breed last year at the World Show, where the quality was really high I did wonder how I would find this entry. Happily I think that generally the breed is in quite a good position here. I was really happy with the bitch line up, and had plenty of choice in males. Heads did vary a bit with quite a few lacking the one piece head. Fronts still need work, but that’s the case with most breeds. Temperaments of course excellent.

Never really got going. Slightly long in back. Liked his head. Medium neck. Slightly forward in shoulder. Deep chest. Well ribbed to a firm loin. Plenty of hind angulation.
