I enjoyed judging this breed for the first time and I know the society were as pleased with the entry as I was. I thought a few were just a little leggy. Please take care about length of muzzle, a few were only just at 2:1. Whilst you do not want them to be long please make sure they don’t get shorter. The Temperaments of the dogs were as wonderful as the owners, great sportsmanship. I thought all were well conditioned. Overall I think the breed has a higher level of quality than many others. Delighted that the BOB, BP and BSB were all placed at group level, and I gather the veteran was shortlisted – well done to all.

Fem b with a v good outline. She is accurate on the move. Liked her head, wouldn’t want any shorter in muzzle. Well developed cheeks, v good expression. Well set ears. Correct neck. Broad chest. Shoulders are ok. Well bent stifle.

2nd: 1264 PETTS, Mrs Rachel Arkenstaff Shes The One

Puppy and still a bit loose for ok for age. Very promising. Moved well. Just needs a bit more maturity obviously. Liked her head. Strong muzzle and still fem. Well set ears. Enough width chest. Level topline. Good rear. Super temperament.

V much a baby at just 6 months having fun. He shows a lot of promise. Liked his head, darkest of eyes. Good width and depth skull. Correct neck. Wide enough chest for age. Firm in topline. Could have a shorter loin. Well made rear, already muscled up. Moved well when decided to do a few steps.

Liked this d v much, has v good proportions. Masc head, deep skull. Dark eyes. Correct length muzzle. Well developed cheeks. Enough neck with quite a well laid shoulder. Liked his depth chest. Well ribbed back. Strong rear. He is just a bit loose in front but that can firm, v good profile, holding topline. BP

He is slightly leggy looking and chest can drop with time. Liked his strong and masc head. Dark eyes. Well placed ears. Correct neck. Well balanced in angulation. He too can firm in front. Uses rear v well, just looses topline slightly.

He just had the edge in up and back movement. Liked his head proportions. Deep in skull. Correct length muzzle. Big open nose. Eyes could be a shade darker. Correct neck. Wide enough chest. Well made rear. Ribs go well back.

2nd: 1286 WELLS, Mr Kevin & WELLS, Mrs Lisa Wellsstaffs Young Warrior

Another good one. Masc head, well proportioned head. Dark eyes. Well set neat rose ears. Fairly short neck. Liked his width chest. Pasterns can firm. Well ribbed back. Liked his rear.

Good moving and well balanced masc d. Broad and deep in skull. Wouldn’t want muzzle any shorter. Dark eyes. Well developed cheeks. Short neck. Best shoulder in class. Deep and broad in chest. Topline is ok. Uses his rear well.

He is just a bit too moderate in his angulation, but perfectly balanced and so goes with an even stride. Masc head. Dark eyes. Enough neck. Can still develop in body. Super temperament.

Close call between 1 and 2, and both quite different.

Whilst i wouldn’t want him and longer he has a pleasing shape and has a better topline than 2. Masc head. Wide and deep skull, dark eyes and well set ears. Could be a little stronger in muzzle. Broad chest. Correct neck. Moderate lay of shoulder. Well bodied. Liked his rear. Moved out well.

2nd: 1268 ROBINSON, Mr H & ROBINSON, Mrs M A & ROBINSON-COX Hamason Sweet Little Mystry JW

Shorter in body and slightly taller than 1. V accurate on the move. Masc head, good cheeks. Dark eyes. Correct neck. Quite a good shoulder. Broad in chest. Well sprung ribs. Moderate rear.

He has a super outline and is in v fit condition. Light on his feet. Liked his head. Has strength, deep skull. Dark eyes. Good proportions of muzzle and skull. Correct neck and quite a good shoulder. Slightly more width of chest than 2. He has a super body. V good rear. Could just be a bit tidier in front action, uses his rear v well. Hogh quality d, CC and a Champion on day, well done.

This is also a v good dog. Liked his head. Darkest of eyes. Well set ears. Correct muzzle to skull rations. Enough neck. He also could be tidier in front. Better topline and tail carriage than 3. Well made rear.

Liked his masc head. V good balance. Dark eyes. Enough neck. Not the shoulder of 1 and could be cleaner coming towards. Broad chest. Well ribbed. Moderate rear, which he used better than 1.
