My thanks to the Association and the exhibitors for their support on a rather dull midweek October day. My first time assessing the breed at this level. There were 9 entries. My principal winners were as follows. There were no puppies.

1ST Malbecmogs Tiger Eyes (Mr C & Mrs S Crittenden)

17month old male, balanced with a super outgoing disposition, large but proportionate head with lovely thoughtful and inquisition expression, just enough stop and brows emerging correctly, strong dentition, adequate length of neck, really scores in body and rib with a strong loin giving the length one expects, on the move he was sound and free flowing and clean coming and going, a pleasure to assess. RBD.

Spaniel (Clumber) - Post Graduate Dog

1ST 2323 - Badgersmoon Next Edition (Mrs J Langridge)

Most mature of the class, lovely brows, good neck, well off for bone without heaviness excellent coat, round feet, lovely shaped and clean eyes, head correct enthusiastic and unsettled on the move, not necessarily presented to best advantage but his type and balance and proportions appealed.

2ND 2328 - Maursett Menelaus (Mr D Tilston)

Not the finished article as yet, but clean in head, square muzzle, correct amount of stop, good neck, square muzzle, well made shoulder, enough bone and workmanlike without being overdone, just right for age, need a touch more showmanship and enthusiasm to complete the picture.

3RD 2327 - Scottsriver Cruzin Dude (Miss E Riley)

Spaniel (Clumber) - Open Dog

1ST 2321 - Sh Ch Suelynda Let Me Be The One JW (Mrs C & Mr J Blackburn)

Clean well presented, young male, in super hard condition, with excellent width of first and second thigh, lovely bone, level topline, superb rib, lovely lay of shoulder into well angled forearm, tight feet and clean eye and ear, square muzzle and of good colour, lovely expression. A pleasure to judge. BD.

2ND 2325 - Carmel Apple White Roll at Badgersmoon (Imp Pol) (Mrs J Langridge)

A livelier exhibit not wholly cooperating, a little generous in condition, correct colour and marking and liked him for length of leg to body proportions, clean in head with well furrowed brow, moved well but could be more settled and coordinated.

1ST 2329 - Suelynda Dream On (Mrs R Wareham)

19 months of bitch shown in immaculate order and condition, clean in coat with the silky desirable texture on full display, a touch out of coat perhaps, lovely length of leg to body ration, scores in angles and is balanced for fore and rear clean eye and ear and good length of neck. Feet could be rounder. Moved well and with determination and energy BOB on presentation and performance despite being less mature than the male.

2ND 2324 - Badgersmoon Shes Guinevere (Mrs J Langridge)

I lived the type and proportions of this bitch, perhaps lacking a touch of breadth in skull but otherwise much to like, she let herself down in the move where her excitement got the better of her, despite it being rather appealing and demonstrating per temperament rather well, excels in length of leg, body without weight, good rich colour and super temperament.
