JUNIOR DOG

1st: Dr J. M. Mellis – Lamoye Magnificent Matteo - An 8-month-old dog of pleasing type. Shows a long, well-shaped head with good length of muzzle, almond-shaped eyes giving a pleasant expression. Ears correctly placed and carried. Good dentition.Moderate length of neck flowing into a straight front. Chest well pronounced for age, with a pleasing underline and good tuck-up. Tail of correct length and carriage.Moved satisfactorily, maintaining a balanced outline. A promising young dog with time on his side. Best Puppy in Breed

POST GRADUATE DOG

1st: Miss L. Weston – Crystaldrift Neo Lynthix - this 2-year-old dog of nice size and pleasing overall type. Presents a lovely head with flat skull and correct rose ears. Clean, well-shaped neck flowing into a deep chest. Straight front with sound construction.Hindquarters well angulated, giving balance to the outline. Tail well carried. Moved well, showing good drive from behind and maintaining a straight, positive action. Pleased to award him Best Dog.

2nd: Dr J. S. Thompson – Bytheiad’s Brave Lionheart - A slightly taller dog than the winner. Shows a long head with good length of muzzle, flat skull and almond-shaped eyes giving a pleasant expression. Ears correctly placed and carried. Good reach of neck flowing into a straight front. Well angulated hindquarters.Topline acceptable. Moved satisfactorily. Just preferred the size and overall balance of the first placed dog on the day.

OPEN DOG

1st: Mrs J & Mrs M Amsel & Hayden Smith – Artemeis Wild Card of Regallust (Imp)- A dog of lovely size and excellent shape, presenting a very pleasing and balanced outline. Very appealing head with almond-shaped eyes and good expression. Moderate length of neck flowing into a straight front. Chest deep with good forechest, maintaining a sound topline.Well angulated hindquarters, giving a square and balanced outline. Moved really well, showing positive action with good drive. A quality dog. Reserve Best Dog.

2nd: Dr J. S. Thompson – Blue Lagoon of Bytheiad - Also a lovely dog to go over, of nice size and shape. Straight front with a well-pronounced chest and deep ribcage. Long, narrow head with pleasing expression. Good angulation and correct tail carriage.Although a veteran dog, he has maintained his quality well. Moved soundly. Just preferred the topline of the first placed dog on the day.

JUNIOR BITCH

1st: Mrs C. Bradkey – Rilloby Line of Duty at Emmzar - A 15-month-old bitch of lovely size and shape, presenting a balanced and feminine outline. Almond-shaped, dark eyes giving a beautiful expression, with good length of muzzle. Correct ear shape and carriage. Good dentition. Straight front with good reach of neck flowing cleanly into the shoulders. Chest developing well for age. Good angulation, giving balance throughout.Carried her tail well on the move and moved soundly. A promising young bitch.

POST GRADUATE BITCH

1st: Mrs L. R. P. Bleakley – Miwell Estee Lauder - A 4-year-old bitch of pleasing shape and balance. Good length of muzzle with oval eyes giving a soft expression. Ears of correct shape and well set. Clean neck of moderate length flowing into well-laid shoulders.Deep ribcage with a straight front. Good angulation fore and aft, maintaining a sound topline. Moved satisfactorily.If you’d like, I can help you slightly strengthen the wording when it’s a clear winner, or soften it if you felt she was more workmanlike than outstanding.

2nd: Mrs C. Pendlebury – Raising Venus Du Zephyr De Bizance Pendlethrine - A bitch of nice size and shape. Skull long, flat and narrow, with fine rose-shaped ears correctly carried. Good dentition. Straight front with a deep chest and good angulation, giving overall balance.Moved satisfactorily. Just preferred the movement of the first placed bitch on the day.

OPEN BITCH

1st: Dr J. M. Mellis – Miwell Mary Quant by Lamoye JW - This bitch immediately caught my eye on entering the ring. Excellent size and shape, slender in all proportions and presenting a true greyhound in miniature. Skull long, flat and narrow with a slight stop. Dark eyes, full of expression. Good dentition.Neck long and gracefully arched, flowing into a straight front. Legs straight with correct feet. Chest deep and narrow, maintaining the desired racy outline. Well-bent stifles giving balance and strength behind.Moved well with style, showing free action and good propulsion. I had no hesitation in awarding her Best of Breed.

2nd: Dr J. S. Thompson – Ophis I Got Rhythm at Bytheiad (Imp Italy)- Another quality bitch with much to offer. Nice size and shape, presenting a balanced outline. Skull long, flat and narrow with oval eyes giving a pleasing expression. Jaws strong with correct scissor bite. Shoulders well sloped with fine, strong bone.Correct ear shape and carriage. Moved well, showing positive action. Just preferred the topline of the first placed bitch on the move. Reserve Best Bitch.
