Many thanks to the officers and committee for the invitation to award my first set of CC’s in Papillon’s and to my two stewards Clive and Eileen for keeping me going on what was a very warm day. I thoroughly enjoyed my day with this delightful breed and thank you to the exhibitors for a wonderful entry. I was thrilled to see two of my winners placed in the groups, thank you to the Group judges for thinking highly of them.

Minor Puppy Dog

1ST Lastayla Playful Pongo (Miss E Edwards) – lightly marked 9 month old tri who was who was presented in lovely coat and condition. Well set and furnished ears with a slight rounding between his ears and a well defined stop. Head was definitely all boy although I wouldn’t want is any stronger. Nicely arched neck of good length with well placed shoulders and a level topline and well bodied for his age. He moves out well using his well muscled hind quarters keeping a level topline and a nicely set tail. Handled to advantage. Best Puppy Dog

2ND Yeldaehs' Mr Tumble (Mr T R & Mrs C Headley) – 7 month old nicely marked tri boy who has a nice head and expression with pleasing markings, well placed ears with nice fringing, nice dark eyes and good nose pigment. Good front and rear angulation with nice bone. Good spring of rib and nice length to his body. Moved out well but was a little unsettled at times, just needs more confidence.

1ST Wilachans Greatest Showman for Davankirk (Mr D & Mrs W Curry) – built on slightly smaller lines this tri boy was shown in good coat and presents a nice outline both standing and on the move. He has a level topline and tailset with a good neck and shoulder placement. Moved out well with a nice parallel free flowing action. Attractive head with well placed and fringed ears.

2ND Braunswood Rising Star (Mrs C L & Ms K & Ms A Mann) – black and white boy who has a pleasing head of nice shape, nice dark nose and eye pigment and eyes of good size and shape. Nicely coated with a good tailset and kept a good outline on the move. Good length to body with a good spring of rib.

3RD Braunswood Cinnabar Tod (Mrs C L & Ms K & Ms A Mann)

1ST Tarnock Love in Paris (Ms D Olof) – what an eye catching 12 month old this is. He has a lovely head and expression with good proportions all round. Lovely set of ears with nice fringing and good width to his skull with the right amount of rounding. The deepest of pigments to both nose and eye. Nicely arched neck and good bone with straight forelegs. Level topline and good high set tail. He presents a nicely balanced outline standing and on the move. I am sure with a bit more maturity he will start to trouble the best.

2ND Inixia Glamorous Guy (Mrs S Stanbury) – and he certainly lives up to his name a nicely coated B/W boy who certainly is eye catching and presents a lovely balanced outline. Lovely head with large ears that he uses to advantage, beautiful dark eye and nose pigment. Ample neck and excellent shoulder with a level topline and tailset that is set high and carried well both standing and on the move. Excellent hind angulation that he uses to advantage as he moves effortless round the ring. I am sure these two will change places on many occasions and with a bit more maturity will be winning top honours.

1ST Ch Tarnock Wiggle Giggle JW (Ms D Olof) – B/W who is presented to perfection with a lovely coat in excellent condition. He has a lovely masculine head and expression with excellent earset which he used to his advantage and a nicely define stop and good proportions. Lovely size of eyes with darkest of pigment. He excels in neck and shoulder with lovely body and excellent bone with good hare feet. Excellent hind angulation and lovely level topline and high set tail. On the move he is very confident as he strides round the ring. He has a lovely profile both standing and on the move. He was in my considerations for top honours today and it is easy to see why he has already gained his crown.

2ND Baillion Be Unique (Mrs J Matthews) - this tri has such an appealing head and expression. He has such well placed ears that he uses to great advantage and lovely fringing. He has good bone with nice feet, nice neck and shoulders and good body of nice proportions. He moved round the ring well keeping a nice outline. Shown in immaculate condition and handled to advantage by his owner. I was delighted in a later class to award him Best Special Beginner and even more thrilled to see him placed 4th in the Group. Well done.

1ST Tarnock Pocket Scotch (Ms V Fenn Webber) – 12 month old B/W who has a superb earset with large ears that he uses to his advantage. Pleasing head with nice proportions and good dark pigment. Good reach of neck with nice straight front and good lay of shoulder. Well bodied for his age and good hind quarters that he used to advantage as he freely moved round the ring. Presented in good coat of lovely condition.

1ST Inixia Finest Hour (Mrs S Stanbury) – 18 month old who is of an ideal size and shape. Pleasing head with good dark pigment and nice tapering muzzle and well set ears. Excels in neck and shoulder with a good straight front and nice feet. Well bodied and has fabulous hind angulation. Moved round the ring with grace and ease.

2ND Lastayla Caramel Shortcake (Ms J E Kerrison) – 3 year old boy who was shown in good coat. Nice head with good dark pigment and correct scissor bite. Well off for body with a level topline and well set tail. Moved steadily round the ring keeping a pleasing shape,

Good depth to his chest and well placed shoulders. Level topline and well placed and carried tail. Moved round the ring with ease keeping a nice outline.

1ST Elendil Knights Templar at Inixia (Mrs S Stanbury) – striking B/W boy who is one that you have to get your hand on to fully appreciate his qualities. Shown in excellent coat of lovely condition. He has excellent placed large mobile ears with nicely rounded tips. His head is masculine with lovely clear cut markings accentuating his well defined stop. Head of lovely proportions and a nicely rounded skull. He has an excellent neck and shoulder with medium bone. Nicely arched neck of good length and a nice deep chest. Perfect tailset and nicely off for body. For me it’s when he moves that he excels himself. He has such a lovely action going round the ring using his well muscled hind quarters to advantage. He has a lovely outline both standing and on the move and the more I looked at him in the class the more he filled my eye. He put on a perfect performance in the challenge and pulled out all the stops and couldn’t be denied the CC, I was delighted to hear afterwards it was his crowning one. Thank you for the opportunity to judge him.

2ND Amber Beauty Valentino at Taisett (Imp Pol) (Mrs A Hector) - red sable dog who was built on slightly smaller lines than winner. Lovely head and expression with excellent nose and eye pigment and decent earset. Nice neck and shoulders with level topline, good bone and nice hare foot. Moves out with well covering the ground with grace and ease.

1ST Graycaz Etienne (Mrs C Lee-Slater) 22 month old glamourous boy who has a lovely head and expression. Lovely muzzle and well defined stop with lovely earset and nicely rounded skull. He has the darkest of round eyes with lovely depth to them and a nicely pigmented nose. He is very well balanced with an excellent reach of neck and good depth to his chest and nice bone with excellent feet. He has a lovely body with a good spring of rib and an excellent reach of neck and highly set tail. On the move he is elegant and graceful with a nice parallel movement. A lovely profile standing showing off a nice eye catching shape. Presented to perfection with lovely silky coat and hardly a hair out of place. He put on an excellent performance today and I was delighted to award him the Res CC, I understand from his owner he is already a Champion and I can understand why. Well done.

2ND Elendil Crusader (Mrs S Stanbury) – 5 year old B/W who pushed the class winner hard with his eye catching outline. Pleasing head with lovely clear markings. Deepest of pigment in both his nose and eyes with lovely mobile large ears. Excels in overall confirmation with a good lay of shoulder and straight legs, nice body with a good spring of rib and excellent hind angulation. He moved at all times with drive and purpose keeping a lovely outline with his perfectly set tail. A quality boy who I am surprised doesn’t have his title and I am sure will change places with the winner on another day.

1ST Ch Milbu Ciciobello at Shevid JW (Imp Lva) (Mr C & Mrs A Thornton) – 7 year old B/W who was shown in lovely coat and condition. Attractive head of good proportions and well defined stop, attractive markings and good eye and ear placement. Good reach of neck and nice depth to chest, level topline. Tail set is excellent with nice fringing. Excellent hind angulation with a lovely free flowing gait. Presented a lovely outline standing and held at all times on the move. A quality boy who is certainly an undeniable champion and was delighted to award him Best Veteran

2ND Manawyddan Victor Hugo (Dr M L & Dr E A Griffiths) – lightly marked well coated B/W who has an attractive head and large mobile well fringed ears, nice dark eye and nose pigment. Lovely front with good bone and good feet. Level topline and well set on tail that was carried well at all times. A nice light free and easy movement keeping an attractive outline.

1ST Lastayla Perfect Purdy (Mrs K Diprose) – B/W girl who was just coming up to 9 month. Loved her overall size and shape, she has the sweetest of heads with a lovely expression and head is well proportioned with a nicely tapering muzzle. Large well set and mobile ears with just the right amount of fringing for her age. Lovely bone with good hare feet. Good forehand and body is developing well. Good hind angulation with well set and feathered tail. Shown in lovely coat and condition. She moved out well showing off her striking outline and lovely disposition. Best Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy

 2ND Northlyte under Boardwalk (Mrs M Whitehill) – 6 month old who is very much the baby and was unfortunate to meet a slightly more mature girl today. Lots to like about her with the prettiest of heads and expressions with lovely dark eye and nose pigment. Well set ears and good head proportions. Lovely body and good front with nice bone and good feet. She had a delightful outlook with an excellent tailset and pleasing movement and the happiest of temperament.

Lovely ear and eye set with the darkest of pigmentation, good ear fringes and a nicely tapering muzzle. Enough neck and good bone with nice straight front legs and good hare feet. Well balanced of nice proportions with good hind angulation, level topline ad well set tail. She moves out with confidence and ease and pushed the minor puppy hard.

2ND Keomandi's Phoebe for Altaya (Mr N & Mrs E S Stanmore) – B/W girl who was shown in nice coat and condition. Presents a nice shape both standing an on the move. Nicely proportioned head with a well defined stop and lovely dark round eyes and excellent nose pigment. Nice neck, level topline and good spring of rib with body developing well. Level topline and well set tail. Another that moved with confidence with a positive action.

1ST Inixia Something Special (Mrs S Stanbury) – well named B/W girl who I loved her overall size and shape, She has the most beautiful head with lovely clear cut markings and a well defined stop. Ears are well set, well fringed and mobile with lovely rounded tips. Excellent neck and shoulders with an excellent chest and correct hare feet. She has level topline with the right amount of body and well sprung ribs, with a well angulated hind quarters. Excellent coat of lovely texture. She presents a beautiful picture on the stack and she moves out with such style and presence. I am sure with ordinary luck she is one that will have Champion in front of her name, a very exciting prospect.

 2ND Tarnock Rosaline (Ms D Olof) tri girl who is just coming up for 13 months, built on elegant lines and shown in good coat. Pretty head with lovey dark pigment and pleasing head with a nicely tapering muzzle. Nicely arched neck and with good spring of rib and level topline. Well muscled hind quarters and moved round ring with ease and presence.

1ST Graycaz Dutch Courage (Mrs C Lee-Slater) – perfectly presented 18 month old red sable who is another exciting prospect. Shown in lovely coat and condition with just the right amount of feathering for her age. She has a lovely outline that is quite eye catching. Beautiful head with nice proportions and a well defined stop and slight rise between her perfectly set ears. Lovely dark nose and eye pigment. She excels in her neck and shoulders with a nice depth to her chest and well ribbed and proportioned body. Her tail is perfectly set and carried high. Her movement is lovely as she covers the ground with grace and ease using her well angulated hind quarters to advantage. Another on that I fully expect will title.

2ND Keomandi Lady of The Lake at Paradise (Ms H V Walsh) – lightly marked Brown and White girl who has the prettiest of heads of good proportions. Nice eye size and shape and good dark pigment. Well off for body and good spring of rib. She carries herself well on the move with a level topline and nicely set tail. Shown in excellent coat and condition.

1ST Graycaz Tipsy Truffle at Kazkell (Mrs K Maskell) – pretty headed phalene who whilst there is no blaze is still an attractive girl with a head of good proportions and pigmentation to die for. 21 months and in good coat of pleasing condition. Nice body with good spring of rib and nice straight forelegs and good hare feet. Level topline with a well set tail. Effortless parallel movement keeping an attractive outline.

 2ND Summerjade's Snow Queen with Ezhar (Mrs S M Simm) – B/W bitch who didn’t necessarily have her showing head on today and was a little distracted. Has a lovely coat in pristine condition that shows off a nice overall size and shape with a good neck and level topline and high set tail. Feminine expression and good shape of head. She moved OK both coming and going.

1ST Manawyddan Springtime (Dr M L & Dr E A Griffiths) – B/W girl who is built on slightly larger lines but still holds an attractive outline both standing and on the move. Lovely dark eye and nose pigment with large well fringed and mobile ears. Well put together with substance and well sprung ribs and level topline. Her tail is set high and is held nicely with good fringing. She moved soundly in all directions.

2ND Feyeta's Petite Bon Bon for Altaya (Mr N & Mrs E S Stanmore) – B/W who was shown in lovely coat and condition. Smaller than the winner with good balance and nice bone. Strong in loin with level top line and correctly set tail carried over the back. Moved well at all times.

1ST Gleniren I'adora at Suttonpark (Mrs Judi Neachell) – small and dainty girl who is exceptionally feminine. She has the most beautiful head that screams ‘girl’, well set ears with lovely fringes and well proportioned head with a nicely defined stop and well tapered muzzle. Adequate neck with good shoulders and lovely straight forelegs and good depth of chest. Excellent topline and well set tail that is carried well over her back. She is such a lovely outline and is one that draws your eye in, one from the top drawer and I see she is the litter sister to the Res CC winner. A quality girl.

 2ND Manawyddan Sweeter Music (Dr M L & Dr E A Griffiths) - 2 year old B/W who was a shade larger than the winner. Large ears with good fringing. Medium length of neck onto well placed shoulders, good depth of chest and straight front, well rounded ribs and good length of loin, moves true and carries he tail well. Moved enthusiastically round the ring.

What a cracker of a class, small, but three very worth champion girls. Thank you for the opportunity to judge them.

1ST Ch/multi Ch Uppercut Daydream Believers with Feorlig (Imp Bel) JW Ww'24 (Mrs K F & Miss K & Mr J Ryan & Roosens & Goessens) – my notes say just ‘wow’, this girl gave me goosebumps to watch her float effortlessly around the ring whilst she keeps such an amazing outline. She is schooled and presented to perfection giving her handler everyting even in the heat of the day. She has the most beautiful head with lovely well placed ears with rounded tips and beautiful fringing. Darkest of well placed and sized eyes. Excellent neck with one of the best forehands of the day and good depth to her chest. Well bodied with a good strength over her loin. Well angulated hind quarters that allow her to power round the ring with such ease. It is easy to see why she has carved her way into the history books as she gives everything to her owner and her outline just screams Papillon. It was a real honour to judge her and was thrilled to give her the CC, BOB and even more delighted to watch her put in a foot perfect performance in the Group to end up winning it.

2ND Ch Gleniren Miracle Starmaker (Mr G Robb) – another girl with the most exquisite expression that is so feminine with markings that are clear cut. Head of correct proportions with a nicely defined stop and gently tapering muzzle. Lovely large ears with correct setting that are always used to advantage. She is a perfectly proportioned body with a good forehand, excellent bone and good hare feet. Excellent body with a decent spring of rib and level topline and perfectly high set tail that is carried well at all times. Her coat and presentation are absolute perfection with hardly a hair out of place. Another who is perfectly schooled and gives her owner everything whilst in the ring, they have such a wonderful bond. It really was splitting hairs and can understand why this girl has won so well as she ticks so many boxes. She is a quality exhibit that moved freely and was delighted to award her the Res CC

Moderate rounding to her head and ample neck with good front angulation. Level topline and high set tail that was carried well at all times. Moved steadily round the ring, she was certainly enjoying her day and showed with verve and enthusiasm
