Veteran
1: Harvestslade Cullinan (Mrs D & Mr N Preece & Gilding), 7-year o/w in super condition and belying his age. He is very typical in outline and has curves. Super head with soft expression. Decent front, correct topline and has good ribbing. Moved out soundly holding his outline. BV
Minor Puppy
1: Lundgarth Fly The Flag (Mrs S.e & Mrs S. Booth & Oddie), 7-month-old o/w with a super head and eye. Decent for size and he is clean in outline. Strong topline and decent tail. Good bone and feet, just needs to strengthen behind but lots of promise. BP
2: Quinnery Swinderby by Lypal (Mr Pk & Mrs La & Ms S Smith & Smith & Welch), 8-month o/w who pleases in outline, not quite the head of the winner. Decent for rib and looked good in profile. Just needs to settle on the out and back.
3: Wilchrimane Cereal Killer (Mrs A & Miss A & Miss D Siddle & Siddle & Mazzeo)
Puppy
1: Lundgarth Fly The Flag (Mrs S.e & Mrs S. Booth & Oddie)
2: Quinnery Swinderby by Lypal (Mr Pk & Mrs La & Ms S Smith & Smith & Welch)
3: Quinnery Middle Wallop (Mr Pk & Mrs La & Ms S Smith & Smith & Welch)
Junior
1: Teisgol Sweet William (Mr P & Mrs D, Mrs L Stilgoe & Fox), o/w of type and a delightful head and expression, he is super to go over and very stylish on the move. Excellent skin and a decent tail. Good bone and feet. Maturity will only add to his benefit, and he will be one to watch.
2: Sharnphilly Black Abbott (Mr Ae Swannell), b/w of slightly different type but he flows in outline. Pleases for head and a delightful eye and expression. Good depth and strong topline. On the move he holds himself well in profile but was just a tad erractic coming towards me today.
3: Stocksfell Soloflight (Mrs B Wilkinson)
Yearling
1: Teisgol Sweet William (Mr P & Mrs D, Mrs L Stilgoe & Fox)
2: Tenshilling Shboom (Mrs C J O'neill), b/w of quality and a pleasing head and expression, he is slightly longer cast than the winner and I would prefer a little more angulation in front. Strong neck, good depth of chest and decent topline. Super skin and holds an outline in profile.
3: Harvestslade Fire and Ice Through Merynjen JW (Mrs K D Wilcox)
Post Graduate
1: De Las Navazuelas Stormcloud at Ridanflight (Imp Esp) (Mr S Rose), b/w of type and quality and a delightful head and expression. Stands on good legs and feet. Still needs to finish in middle piece but he has curves in the right place. Good topline and totally balanced in outline. Moved out well on the right track.
2: Sunhouse Black Is Back at Salmonmist JW (ai) (Ms S R Philo), very decent b/w of slightly different type but with lots to like. He too has a super head and expression, strong topline and well-set tail. He has strength and is more mature in middle piece than the winner. He was just slightly erratic on the out and back today and this cost him.
3: Sunhouse I'll Be Black (ai) (Mrs R M C & Miss R Martin)
Limit
1: Joneva Just Imagine JW (Mrs G J & Mr N A Sweeney), here was the male that ticked most boxes for me today. Ok he is not the flashiest, but he is very correct all through being totally balanced in angulation. He is all male and certainly up to size, but he is in no way coarse. He has a very honest head and expression, strong topline and well-set tail. On the move he is exceptionally sound putting his feet in the right place without any drama in front, and he carries his tail well. In perfect condition and just the right amount of body. I found him very worthy of the CC, his first, and I really hope that he is given a fighting chance to gain his title, as he deserves to carry one.
2: Lakewinds Benchmark (Imp Aus) (Ms T Watkins), o/w who has an imposing outline stacked and his head and expression are delightful. Would just prefer more layback of shoulder but he has decent hindquarters. Well ribbed and in wonderful condition. A tad untidy coming towards me and a little proud of his tail today. Called him back for the RCC but unfortunately his handler was in another ring at the time.
3: Kanix Sourdough with Calaquendi JW Bel Jch (Mrs A & Miss V & Miss L Hill)
Open
1: Sh Ch Tenshilling It's My Party for Salmonmist JW OSW ShCEx (Ms S R Philo), stylish o/w of type and quality and very Pointer in outline. Delightful head and expression and won the class on forehand. Good depth and strong topline. For preference I would just have liked a better tail carriage. RCC
2: Ger Ch Lundgarth Wild Yarrow (Mrs G J & Mr N A Sweeney), decent typy b/w with a super head and expression, ok in front but would have preferred more angulation although he is balanced all through. Where he scored was on the move where he put on a show and used what he’s got to advantage.
3: Sunhouse You're Nicked (Mrs R M C & Miss R Martin)
Special Beginner D/B
1: Hawkfield Scandalous (Mrs N Klaiber), o/w who scores for type and has a pleasing head and expression, she is the correct shape and really uses herself on the move. She won the SB group under me at the recent National and she deserved BSB again today.
2: Droveborough Witchy Woman (Mrs L J Barham), 7-month l/w with the loveliest expression and is in great condition and body for her age. She has tight skin and good depth. Moved out keeping her outline.
3: Hookwood Hawker (Mrs E K & Mr R Green)
Bitches
Veteran
1: Symitry Iced Ginger (Mrs C A Isherwood), 10-year-old o/w who is in wonderful condition for her age, she has the sweetest head and expression, super skin and flowing outline. Moved out well for her age and kept her topline.
Minor puppy
1: Wilchrimane Hex Appeal (Mrs & Miss A Siddle), 6-month-old b/w with a very eye-catching outline and sweetest head and expression. On the move she holds herself so well and uses what she has. Only a baby obviously, but she has it all in front of her.
2: Droveborough Black Magic (Miss S Kennedy), 6-month b/w who catches the eye on the stack and she too has the sweetest of expressions. She is very well made and stands on good bone and feet. She puts her feet in the right place, but she just needs that little bit of sparkle and then she will shine for sure.
3: Quinnery Rheindahlen (Mrs R Quinn)
Puppy
1: Droveborough Black Magic (Miss S Kennedy)
2: Lundgarth Ticket to Fly (Mrs S E Booth), 8-month b/w with a pleasing outline stacked and a decent head and expression. She just needs to settle on the move and then she’ll be away.
3: Woodbyrgg Beatrix Potter (Mrs E Voutsis)
Junior
1: Ferndel Sapphire Mist over Stocksfell (Mrs B Wilkinson), b/w of champion quality and she oozes type. Her head and expression are delightful. To go over there is little to change, she just needs to finish in rib. On the move she is precise, stylish and eye-catching. Put on a very mature performance for her age to take the RCC.
2: Teisgol Rose Campion (Mr Pr & Mrs De & Mrs L Stilgoe & Stilgoe & Fox), typy o/w who lost out to the sparkle of the winner today. She has a pleasing head, good forehand and super topline. She puts her feet in the right place but could just hold herself more in profile.
3: Droveborough's Hells Bells (Miss S Kennedy)
Yearling
1: Joneva Just One Wish (Mr K Adams), o/w of type, quality and soundness. She flows from nose to tail and is in optimum condition. Handled perfectly to get the best out of her, she moves with style and precision. Still young, she is going to be a worthy champion. In the challenge she unfortunately lost her concentration and was disturbed by the outside noise and so, sadly, it was game over for today. She will have better days and I’m positive she will title.
2: Gillarrys Bella (Mr David Bielefeld), o/w of real type and curves. She has a beautiful head and expression, super to go over and really comes alive on the move where she is so eye-catching, would just prefer a tidier mouth.
3: Harvestslade Star Ruby (Mrs D & Mr N Preece & Gilding)
Post Graduate
1: Freebreeze Pixar at Prosperity (Miss T Cardiff), o/w of type and a delightful head and expression. Stands on good bone and feet and uses herself to advantage on the move. Super skin and curvy all through. Decent topline and well-set tail.
2: Gillarrys Bella (Mr David Bielefeld)
3: Carofel If I Had Wings JW (C Guy)
Limit
1: Sunhouse Partners in Crime (Mrs R M C & Miss R Martin), b/w bitch of type quality. She has a delightful head and expression, curves in the right place and flows in outline. Moved out well on the right track and kept her outline. Champion quality for sure
2: Millpoint Golden Pippin JW (Ms A Brooksmith), o/w with a super head and expression, she has an imposing outline and moved out well. Just needs a tad in confidence and she’ll be away but there’s not much to change in construction.
3: Clamerkin Jubilee Surprise at Hookwood JW (Mrs S & Mrs J & Miss C Welch & Drake & Hazeltine)
Open
1: Sh Ch Wilchrimane Frankly Darlin (Miss, Mrs & Mrs Siddle, Siddle & Medeiros). O/w bitch at the height of her game and bang on form at the moment. She is very typical all through but would perhaps not want anymore angulation behind. Her head and expression are a delight, she is strong in neck, excellent forehand and perfect topline and tail set. She is also supremely feminine. However, it is on the move that she couldn’t be beaten today being supremely light on her feet and so very stylish. She keeps her outline and has an air of quality. I can understand why she has made a name for herself, and I could not find anything to lower her colours today. BCC & BOB and Group 3.
2: Sh Ch Tenshilling The Wanderer (Mrs J Webb), close up and super stylish this o/w is also champion quality. Super head, excellent forehand, balanced behind and depth to chest, just a tad proud of her tail today.
3: Ger Ch Gillarry´s Anna (Mr David Bielefeld)
