Firstly I would like to thank the Committee of MISS for the invitation to judge at their Championship Show held in partnership with Setter and Pointer. Thanks also to Stephanie and Steven Wood for being my stewards and keeping me and the ring running smoothly.

Secondly my thanks to all the exhibitors who entered, for the chance to go over all your lovely dogs that I had admired from ringside was a joy. The fact that that both my ticket winners were from veteran shows the longevity of our lovely breed. I enjoyed my day.

Baby Puppy Bitch (2-1)

1) Prangle, Miss CJ. Heathclare Faberge. 5 ½ mths old feminine little girl, she has nice head planes, low set ears, dark eye lovely soft expression, slight arch to her neck, decent layback of shoulders and return of upper arm, good front, good depth to brisket and spring to rib for one so young, correct bend to stifle and short hocks, movement was a bit lively as she was enjoying herself, good to watch. Minor Puppy Bitch (6-1)

1) Bott, Mrs M. Bardonhill As You Like It. She is 7 mths and has a long lean head with correct head planes, darks eye and low set ears. There is a slight arch to her neck leading into nice shoulders and slightly sloping topline, and enough forechest. She has a good front, nice angles front and rear with good first and second thigh. Moved okay.

2) Crocker & Frost, Mr B Miss A. Sassy Susan Lofty at Riverbrue. (ImpPol) Feminine little girl from this well-known kennel. I Liked her head, she had a nice dark eyes, low set ears, slight arch to her neck, nice front assembly and depth to her chest. Her rear angles are good and her hocks are short She is well muscled for one so young. Moved okay Two lovely puppies.

3) Neill & Ellrich, Miss C & Miss R. Gwendariff Pink’s Pink. (IKC)

Puppy Bitch (3)

1) Green, Holehan-Green &Selby, Mr R, Mrs WL & Mrs L. Loganrish Winter Pearl Moon, Nice type, square finish to muzzle, dark eye giving a soft expression, she has low set ears, moderate length to her neck. She has a good front, nice spring to her ribs and slight arch to her loin. Nice bend to her stifle and short hocks. Moved okay. BPB

2) Stallion & Shepherd, Miss JP & Mrs SA. Casachared Joleens Lady Red. Different in type to 1st. Correct planes to her head with a dark eye, moderately long neck, enough forechest and depth to her chest. She has correct angles to her stifle and short hocks.

3) White, Mr AJ. Paduan True Light.

Veteran Bitch (6-3)

​A lovely class and a joy to go over them all.

1) Hunter, Ms M. Sh Ch, Intl Sh Ch Fairhaven Electra. (Imp Swe) I just loved her, she has a super head with correct planes and squareish finish to her muzzle, lovely dark eye giving a lovely soft expression with a little hint of mischief in there with hardly any sign of her age. Moderately long neck letting into correct layback of shoulders with good bone and decent feet, her brisket is deep and slight arch over her loin, decent bend to her stifle. Her topline is slightly sloping carried from her neck through to her well set tail in an unbroken line which she held on the move. She is in super condition and strode out round the ring in style using her tail. BCC, BViS and BiS

2) Sturrocks, Mrs S, Misses N & J, Sh Ch Forfarian Soo Lush JW. Another lovely girl. She has squarerish finish to foreface and melting expression, moderate length to neck and well laid back shoulders. Her topline is slightly sloping in an unbroken line to her wellset tail carried well on the move. She has a deep chest and spring to her ribs with a slight arch over her loin. Her rear angles are correct and she has short hocks. She moved well. Unlucky to meet 1st in such good form.

3) Catling Mrs PAM. Sh Ch Teleri Indian Summer (AI).

Junior bitch (3)

1) Bott, Mrs M. Bardonhill Cotton Tree. She has a lovely dark eye, pronounced occiput, moderately long neck letting into nice layback of shoulder. She is deep in her chest and has well sprung ribs with slight arch over loin. Her angles front and rear are correct. She has short hocks. She moved okay.

2) Roberts, Mrs A. Polmenor Pandora. She has a long lean head with pronounced occiput and moderately long neck, she has a good front. Her ribs are well sprung. Her angles front and rear are correct. She is well muscled in her 1st and 2nd thighs with short hocks. She moved okay.

3) Box, Miss R. Fernstart Hearts Desire.

Yearling Bitch (4-1)

1) Harrison, Mrs J. Clonageera Summer Dreams at Millpoint. Her head is long and lean with dark eye given a soft expression. Moderately long neck and good front angles, her chest is deep and she has a slight arch over her loin, Her front and rear angles are correct and she has short hocks. She moved okay holding her topline.

2) Berry & Morris, Mrs B & Mrs L. Riverbrue Mystique avec Brinara. JW. Rangier girl in build. She has a nice head with pronounced occipital bone. She has a lovely topline and depth to her chest with slight arch to her loin. Her front and rear angles are correct and she has lovely feet with arched toes. She moved okay round the ring.

3) Walters, Mrs J. Kamiltoft Ruby Tuesday for Deneil.

1) Green, Holehan-Green & Selby. Mr R, Mrs WL & Mrs L. Loganrish Winter Pearl Moon. Repeat 1st Puppy bitch.

2) White, Mr AJ. Paduan Golden Girl. She was very reluctant to let me go over her and I would prefer her to carry a bit more weight. She has a pleasant head with a darkish eye, moderately long neck and good angles to her front and hind quarters. Her chest is deep. Her coat is in good condition and shone under the lights. Moved okay.

Under Graduate (5-0)

1) Jones, Mrs R & Dr H. Gwendariff Rhianna. JW. She has a lovely head with lowset ears, her eyes are dark and she has a moderately long neck, She has adequate forechest, her brisket is deep with good spring to ribs and slight arch to loin. She has short hocks. Moved okay.

2) Roberts, Mrs A. Polmenor Spice of Life. Different in type to 1st. she is built on rangier lines. Long lean head with pronounced occiput bone. She has a long neck letting into layback of shoulders, she has a slight arch through the loin. She has decent spring to her ribs and is well muscled. She moved okay.

1) Sturrocks, Mrs S, Misses N & J. Forfarian Fancy Me JW. Pretty Feminine girl. Not as big as some but well put together. Lovely head with correct head planes and dark eye giving a soft quizzical expression. Moderate length to her neck leading into her layback of shoulders. She has adequate forechest. She is deep in her brisket with well sprung ribs. She moved well round the ring holding her topline.

2) Danks-Kemish, Mrs RD. Alolfrana Electra. She has lovely dark eye giving that typical Irish expression. She moderate in length to her neck and has a deep brisket and spring to ribs. She is longer through the loin to 1st. She is short in her hocks. She moved okay.

3) Holehank-Green, Mrs WL. Loganrish Tiger Lily Pearl. JW.

Post Graduate Bitch (5-0)

1) Hall, Mrs K. Riverbrue Ophelia Love at Brinara JW. Lovely dark eye and super soft expression. Her ears are low set. She has a moderately long neck setting into good layback of shoulder. She is deep in her brisket and has good spring to her ribs. Her angles both front and rear a good and she has short hocks. She moved okay round the ring.

2) Vallance Ms KP. Glencarron Second Edition to Corcencone. A favourite of mine unlucky to meet 1st today. She has such a pretty feminine head, dark eye with quizzical expression. She has moderate length to her neck and good layback of her shoulders. She is deep in her brisket and has good spring to her ribs. Moved Okay.

3) Milligan-Bott & Bott & Smith, Mrs D, Mr J & Mrs J. Thendara Graf Venus.

Mid Limit Bitch (6-0)

1) Rutherford & Prangle. Mrs P & Miss C. Clonageera Take a Chance, JW. She has a long lean head with correct proportions with darkish eye and low set ears. She has a moderate neck and good shoulders, good bone. She is deep in her brisket and has a slight arch to her loin. Her angles fore and aft are good and she has short hocks and tight feet with arched toes. Moved well round the ring.

2) Cheichonska, Miss E. Gwendariff Don’t look back Aoibheanne. Different in type to 1st. She is finer in head with correct head planes and dark eyes. Moderate length to her neck and good shoulders. Her forechest is adequate. She has good depth to her brisket and is longer through the loin to 1st. She moved okay.

3) Vallence, Miss KP. Lynwood Rather Ravishing at Corcencone.

Limit Bitch (4-0)

1) Humphreys, Mr P & Mrs J. Riverbrue Ophelia Bongos at Henaleas. This girl has a lovely head with a soft kind expression in her dark eyes. Squareish finish to her foreface and low set ears. She has a moderately long neck and good shoulders with a deep brisket and spring to her ribs. She has a slight arch through her loin and nice angles both front and rear finished with short hocks. Moved well round the ring.

2) Hall, Mr P. Harreds Lillie. Such a naughty girl but very nice. She is another with a lovely head, she has moderate length to her neck with good shoulders and front, she has depth to her brisket and she is ribbed up well back with slight arch to her loin and nice angles and well muscled up in 1st and 2nd thigh. Moved okay.

3) Bott, Allen & Morgan, Mr P, Mr G & Mrs A. Quensha Joker and the Queen.

Open Bitch (12-3)

A lovely class, I was spoilt for choice.

1) Godart, Mrs C. Intl Sh Ch, Bel, Dutch,Ger & Lux Ch. Riverwood the Devil Wears Prada. JRCH. She has correct head planes with pronounced occiput, lovely soft expression to her dark eyes and low set ears. Longish neck going into her good layback of shoulder. She has correct angles front and rear, she is deep in her brisket and well ribbed back to slightly arched loin, her hocks are short. Lovely topline which she held on the move. Moved well. RBCC & RBiS

2) Jones, Mrs R & Dr H. Sh Ch Gwendariff Dazling Diva JW. Her head is long and lean. She has dark eyes with typical soft Irish expression. Low set ears, slight arch to her neck leading into good layback of shoulders, her angles front and rear are good. She is well ribbed back with a slight arch through her loin. She has short hocks and neat feet. She was unlucky to meet 1st in such good form.

He has a long lean head with pronounced occipital bone, Dark eyes and low set ears, his neck is moderately long with slight arch, good shoulder and front, he has good spring of rib and arch through his loin. The rear angles are good and he has short hocks, For a youngster he moved well.

2) Lorrimer, Mrs JM. Gwendariff Yellowhammer (IKC). He is stronger in head and rangier in build he has correct head planes. He has dark eyes with soft expression, he has a slight arch to his neck, good shoulders and front. Decent ribcage and arch through the loin. His angles front and rear are good and he has short hocks. He moved okay round the ring.

3) Shepherd, Mrs SA. Casachared Mr Delaneys Son.

Puppy Dog (4)

1) Frampton, Mrs J. Strathmead Tennessee Waltz (AI). Lovely head on this young man with pronounced occipital bone, his eyes are dark and has a lovely soft expression. His neck is moderately long and shoulders are well layed back. He has nice spring to ribs and a slight arch to his loin. He has good angles front and rear. He was full of life giving his handler a hard time but showed enough on the go round to see his movement. I liked him. BPiS

2) Clark, Miss C. Riverbrue Gives you Hell. He is finer built than 1st. He has a lovely head with correct planes and dark eyes, his ears are lowset. He has a good front and neat feet. His brisket is deep and he is well ribbed back. His angles front and back are good and his hocks are short. He moved well. Just preferred 1st on the day.

3) Lorrimer Mrs J Gwendariff Yellowhammer.

Veteran Dog (3)

1) Russell, Mrs J. Sh Ch Lynwood Hocus Pocus at Settesoli JW. What can I say about this elder statesman of our breed that hasn’t already been said. From the tip of his nose to the end of his tail he oozes quality. Beautiful head with the sparkling of grey denoting his seniority. His neck is moderate in length, he has a super topline flowing from head right through to well set on tail in an unbroken line. He has a deep brisket and slight arch through his loin. He stands on good bone and his feet are neat with well arched toes. He powered round the ring owning it. DCC & BoS

2) Pym, Bott & Milligan-Bott, Mrs S, Mr J & Mrs D. Thendara Marshmello JW Shcex OSW. He is different type to 1st. Stronger in head and build. His head is long and lean with correct head planes and dark eyes and squareish finish to foreface. His neck is moderate in length. He has good front and rear angles. His ribs are well sprung. He has short hocks. His feet are neat with arched toes. He moved okay.

3) Holehan-Green, Mrs WL. Loganrish Let’s go Crazy.

Junior Dog. (2)

1) Foster, Mr N & Mrs S. Ixia Boys Don’t Cry at Shanoah. This young man has a head of correct proportions and head planes with dark eyes and lowset ears, he has a lovely topline. He has decent spring to his rib at this stage of maturity and slight arch to through his loin. His angles are good and he has neat feet. He enjoyed his run round the ring moving well.

2) Harris, Mrs P. Fairhaven Young Soul for Konakakela. JW (Imp Swe). Stronger in build to 1st. He has a pleasant head with correct finish to foreface, moderate length to his neck with slight arch, His chest is deep and his ribs are well sprung and he has good angles front and rear. He has short hocks and neat feet. He moved okey.

Yearling Dog (4-1)

1) Wheeldon Mr C. Quensha Fine and Dandy at Colemist. He has a lovely head with correct planes and finish to foreface. His neck is moderately long set into decent shoulders, his brisket is deep and his ribs are well sprung and slight arch through the loin. His hocks are short and his feet are neat with arched toes. He moved okay.

2) Mathews, Mrs C. Gwendariff Stupid Cupid (NAF). His head had correct planes. He has dark eyes giving the typical quizzical Irish expression. His chest is deep and ribs are well sprung. His angles front and rear are good, he has short hocks. He moved okay.

3) Pym, Mrs S. Marzanne Trigger Happy by Thendara. JW.

1) Dow, Mrs. Forfarian Fancy Some Fun. This young man is maturing nicely and it’s lovely to see the partnership between him and his handler growing in confidence. He has a lovely head with correct head planes and dark eyes, his occipital bone is pronounced and his ears are lowset. He has good shoulders and his angles front and rear are good with short hocks. He has a deep chest and slight arch to loin. He moved steadily.

2) Holehan-Green, Mrs WL. Loganrish Tiger Warrior. JW. His head is nice with correct planes, his neck is moderately long and his shoulders and angles front and rear and good. His chest is deep and he stands on good bone with neat feet. He moved okay.

3) Abbot,t Mr D. Thendara Haribo.

Post Graduate Dog, (8-2)

1) Lucas, Mr & Mrs P. Gwendariff Bachelor Boy. He has a lovely head with correct planes, dark eyes and lovely expression. His ears are lowset, his neck is moderate leading into good shoulders, he has good bone and neat feet. His brisket is deep and his ribs are well sprung. Lovely topline and well set on tail. His movement was okay.

2) Russell, Mrs J. Tireon Touch of Magic by Settesoli. (Imp KCJ) JW. He is finer in build. His head is lovely with correct planes and squarish finish to foreface. His neck is moderately long, his shoulders are well layed back, he has good bone and stands on neat feet. His chest is deep and ribs are well sprung, he is shorter through the loin. He moved okay.

3) Levene & Lewis, Miss A & Miss R. Quensha Remember the Name Valasarch.

Mid Limit Dog, (6-1)

1) Dewar, Mrs L. Gwendariff Bobby Dazzler (IKC). I liked this boys head which is long and lean, his eyes are dark giving that Irish soft expression. His ears are lowset, his neck is moderate, his shoulders are layed back, he stands on good bone. He is well ribbed back and he has a slight arch over his loin. He moved okay round the ring.

2) Allen, Mrs C. Glencarron Show Must go On, JW. His head is long and lean with squareish finish to foreface, his eyes are dark, his ears are lowset, his brisket is deep. He has good bone and stands on neat feet with arched toes. His hocks are short. He moved okay.

3) Corless, Mrs S. Swiftlark Spellbinder.

1) Chorley-Newton, Chorley & Flinders. Mrs S, Miss K & Miss E. Kerryfair Just Be. He has a lovely head with dark eyes and soft expression, he has lowset ears, His neck is arched. He has a lovely topline and well set on tail. His brisket is deep and his ribs are well sprung shortish arch through his loin. His angles front and rear are good. He is carrying slightly to much condition. He charged round the ring enjoying himself. RDCC

2) Robinson-Slater, Mrs. Kerryfair Lucky Seven. Another from this kennel with a lovely head. His eyes are dark and have that lovely Irish expression, his ears are lowset and his neck is moderate in length. His topline is lovely. His chest is deep and he has a slight arch through his loin. He stands on good bone and neat feet. Moved okay.

3) Richardson, Ms RA. Gwendariff Tullys Red Arrows.

Open Dog (8-2)

A lovely class

1) Ellrich, Miss R. Sh Ch, Ir Sh Ch, Fin Sh Ch. Gwendariff Absolutely Marwell’us ((IKC) WW25,WW24, CW24. He has a lovely head with squareish finish to his foreface, dark eyes lovely soft expression, moderately long neck with super topline slightly sloping to his well set on tail. Well layed back shoulders, his brisket is deep and his ribs are well sprung, he stands on good bone and neat feet with arched toes. He moved round the ring driving off his short hocks.

2) Beresford, Miss M. Sh Ch Jetsetter Wind of Dreams (Imp Rus). His head is long and lean and his eyes are dark, his ears are lowset. His arched neck is moderate in length. His ribs are well sprung and he has an arch through his loin. He has good bone and neat arched feet. His hocks are short which he used well moving round the ring. His topline is lovely which he kept on the move.

3) Rutherford-Judge & Prangle. Mrs P & Miss CJ. Sh Ch Clonageera Tough of Gold.
