Windsor Dog Show Society

I would like to express my gratitude to the committee and officers of Windsor for this invitation to awards CCs to Chinese Cresteds for the first time. It is such an honour to do so and to do so at this show where I awarded my very first set of CCs is even better. I would also like to extend my thanks to the exhibitors who entered under me, being a non-specialist, and this being the first breed I judge outside of my own two, I really appreciated the support. Overall, I found that the quality and consistency in bitches was higher than in males and in the younger male classes in particular a number of exhibits clearly require a little more socialisation. I have seen over the years, the work you have put into improving temperaments and long that may continue.

1. Bartlett’s Michadaine Crazy For You ShCM VW ShCex – 11y/o Powderpuff with a good masculine head, a few teeth missing which at his age is not an issue given that the bite is absolutely correct otherwise, well set & carried large ears, eye could be a fraction darker. Correct body proportions, shoulders are well laid back, level topline & good tail set with typical carriage. Moved well around the ring. BV

2. Baker’s Scherzando Taiki – 7y/o hairless with a masculine well laid out head, really lovely large ears which are well placed & carried. Level topline, not quite the lay of shoulders of 1st and could be a fraction longer in body. Moved with good drive and has correct extended hare feet.

MPD (1/0):

1. Peppett’s Karamouche Top Hat’N’Tails – This 7m/o Black & white Powderpuff has correct head proportions, lovely dark almond eye, good prominent nose & correct muzzle shape. He was a little overawed on the day. Liked his body proportions and he is well made.

PD (4/1):

1. Parker’s Doonbeg Mahogany Magic at Khatira – 10m/o hairless with lovely body proportions, good drive, hocks well let down. Lovely earset & carriage, ears are large with the lovely rounded tip, correct bite. Nice hare feet. Another one that was little bit overawed but he carried his tail correctly on the move long enough to show himself to advantage. BPD

2. Watson’s Karamouche Pandemonium - Lovely temperament on the Powderpuff. Good head proportions, ears are a little soft at this stage, but they are well set, the best of almond shaped dark eyes, good level topline & moves well, a little shorter in outline than 1st.

JD (5/0):

1. Fitze’s Be My Dog’s Kunikuzushi – This small hairless male has the correct overall proportions and moves well with correct angulation giving him good drive. His tail is well set & carried correctly on the move. Lovely head with good earset & carriage, correct scissor bite. RCC

2. Baker’s Jassendue Amari – Lovely shape on this dog, good size, correct lay of shoulders & good rear angulation with well let down hocks. His head is well laid out with good eye shape & colour. Would have liked to see his tail being carried on the move, I’m sure this will come.

YD (5/1):

2. Locks’ Chestnucres Beam Me Up – Lovely type on this hairless, good size, correct level topline & good tailset. Correct dark eye of good shape, a slightly longer muzzle to head ratio would complete the expression, good ears. Good lay of shoulders, hocks are well let down, just preferred the overall balance of 1.

PGD (7/1):

1. Eames’ Mum’s Mini Me Kiwano – Lovely white Powderpuff of good size, correct body proportions and with a really attractive head with dark almond eyes, good sized ears, correct bite. He has a good lay of shoulders and a well-balanced movement. Nice extended hare feet completed the picture.

2. Fitze’s Be My Dog Jambo I’m Rambo – 19m/o hairless with good body proportions and overall balance, correct foreface to skull proportions and well-placed eyes, ears are set high and large. A little distracted on the move today.

LD (5/1)

1. Farquharson’s Shanshal Man of Steel JW – a Powderpuff of good size and proportions, enough lay of shoulders, good neckline, level topline. He has a masculine, well proportioned, head with dark almond eyes & good large erect ears. Moved well with his tail carried in a typical position when he got going.

2. Seed’s Chundecrest Sir Lucifer – 2y/o hairless with a really attractive head, dark eyes, good muzzle proportions & lovely large and well carried ears. He has a level topline and good high set tail, would prefer slightly more depth of chest, moves with drive and a correct tail carriage.

OD (6/0):

1. Parker’s CH Ynchreenoo Black Magic at Khatira ShCEx – Black & dark grey Powderpuff of lovely size & proportions, correct level topline, enough lay of shoulders, great body substance and powered through the ring. He has a lovely temperament and an attractive head & expression with correct length of muzzle to skull, good dark almond-shaped eye, good ear size, set & carriage. The lovely hare feet were the icing on the cake. CC.

2. Seed’s Chundecrest Mazikeen Might – 16m/o girl with a lovely head, good level topline, good overall proportion, correct bite, correct earset, good muzzle proportions, lovely extended hare feet. Quite unsure of herself today, but hopefully with a bit more training should gain confidence.

MPB (3/0):

1. Laws’ Karamouche All Dressed Up – a powderpuff of lovely shape, enough lay of shoulders, good neck flowing into a correct level topline & high tailset. Lovely hare feet. Nice head proportions with clean muzzle, correct scissor bite, good eye shape& colour. Moves with drive and confidence, lovely coat texture. BPIB

2. Hellmuth’s Karamouche It’s My Party at Shumllea – 7m/o hairless sister of 1st I see, good overall proportions, lovely large erect ears & correct skull to muzzle ratio. Again, her overall shape is lovely, and she is well made. A little erratic on the move at this stage.

2. Gibbs’ Karamouche Precious Petal – another one from that lovely litter I see, white with excellent temperament, lovely & attractive feminine head, good ears, lovely bite, eye shape could be slightly tidier, but good colour. A little skinny right now and just needs more training.

1. Edmonds’ Prada Paradoks Gambitas at Lanaarland (Imp LTU) – Hairless with Black & white crest, Lovely shape & attractive head with dark eye shape, lovely bite, Good large well-placed and carried ears. Moves well with typical tail carriage.

2. Gudgin’s Jassendue Ariadne - Very close up to 1. Lovely shape. Good tail set. Moves well. Correct head proportion, ears are of good size, well set & carried. Slightly preferred the eye of 1.

2. Agronius’ Prefix the Devil Wears Nada – a lovely bitch, hairless with white crest, nice body proportions, juts long in body enough, level topline, good tailset. She has correct head proportions, lovely ears, correct bite, would like a slightly darker eye. Unfortunately a little bit unsettled today, but had short moments of brilliance on the move.

1. Gudgin’s Schersando Quaver at Jassendue JW – B& W hairless, lovely shape, good lay of shoulders, good neckline. Lovely extended hare feet. Good head proportions with good eye shape although colour could be darker. Makes full use of her good construction on the move.

2. Parker’s Riveralca Tullat at Khatira JW – Another B&W bitch of lovely size with fabulous temperament, correct head shape, good eye shape & colour. She has good substance and correct spring of ribs, very close up to 1, just preferred the slightly longer shape of the winner.

OB (3/0): The quality went up another notch with that class!

1. Agronius’ SWE/DAN CH Prefix I Got Hair I Got Style – a bitch with exquisite shape & balance, lovely neckline, good lay of shoulders, correct topline, good tailset & carriage, well let down hocks. Well laid head with good skull to muzzle proportions, with large ears well set & carried, correct bite. Correct coat quality and floated effortlessly around the ring, showing off her drive & keeping her shape at all times. CC & BOB

2. Laws’ CH Karamouche Parti Frock JW – Another top quality lady, this lovely sized bitch shares many of the attributes of 1, she has a lovely head with correctly shaped eye and good ear size, set & carriage. She is well constructed and moves in a balanced, effortless way. RCC
