An honour to be asked to judge the club show but waiting 3 years for it to come around seemed and age – and now it has passed so quick. Not sure if tying it in with the double SKC shows on a different day attracted more or fewer entries. However, thank you for those that did enter noting some travelled long distances and that was much appreciated. Probably 20 plus years since I used to do the Scotland and back journeys in a day. I was very happy with all my main winners and a couple of younger entrants pushed hard for top honours. I believe some done as well at the SKC show the following day. My only usual comments touch on round eyes, or close to round still creeping in and that leg length from ground to elbow being awfully close to being incorrect in quiet a few. Maybe ear set is one to watch for as well. A great day, all presented well, owners seemed in great spirit and a big thank you to my stewards both pro and novice (you will know who I mean).
BPD (2) 1. Penman’s Agaelta Northern Attitude. My first baby class and not sure I think
it is necessary. As expected, lively and looks like this one could develop nicely but at 5 months what could you not like. 2. Spottiswoode’s Aloustair Naughty or Nice. Calmer than 1, happy to be gone over and moved nicely but 1 had the edge for me.
MPD (0)
PD (1)1. BPD Ranby & Hughes Siberadrift Ceasar is Home. Tidy young R&W who moved well with good topline and tail carriage. Nice head and eyes, rear angulation and sure this will do more winning in the future. BPD but pushed hard for BP overall.
JD (2) 1. Simms Seaqualina Echo of Light. Striking youngster well presented in good condition. Good front, topline and rear angulation with a typical expression. 2 Houston’s Inukshuk I Prefer Au Revoir. Relaxed, happy and moved very tidily around the ring. Nice eyes but maybe stop a little steeper than ideal for me.
YD (2) 1. McArthy and & Rees Amical Naxxar JW. Looked the part in good condition and well presented. Overall good proportions lovely front and one that stood out on the day. 2. Houston’s Inukshuk My Wayward Son. Not as eye catching as 1 but still a very nicely put together dog with much to like and moved well.
UGD (1) 1. McInnes’s Furnesfjordens First Ragnar for Inneska (Imp Nor). Nice overall proportions, good length of neck and held topline moving and showed drive going around.
GD (1) 1. Wynne’s Mydisa Hielan Wee Belter. Little nervous on the day but we got past that. Nice almond eyes and well set, good leg length, moved well and displaying a good coat.
PGD (1) 1. Johnson’s Atlantic Breeze Bailey by Lupinmoon JW(AI)(IKC). Looking slightly heavier but clearly the coat giving that look as all was good underneath. Good chest and front. Shown and moved well with topline held and nice tail carriage.
LD (5) 1. Cameron’s Sutarka’s Fool Me Once. A pretty even class throughout with all showing a lot of good points and not easy to decide. Eye catching with lovely arching neck and facial expression. Strong front, good rear angulation, pasterns correct and moved very well. 2. Rogerson, Dalgarno and Simms Articskies Fernando Avec Kessem. Presented superbly and in top condition. Slightly smaller than 1 but very little to spilt them. Lost out to marginally preferred movement of 1 and overall appearance. 3.Penmans Lupacchiotto Bulletproof of Agealta
OD (4) 1. Ranby & Hughes CH Siberiadrift Secret Untold. Another class with some fairly even looking dogs making for a difficult choice. No doubt another day positions could change. A very handy looking dog with lots to like. Overall, well proportioned, good strong front and body and good rear angulation. Almond eyes, well set and a clear happy disposition. Understandably a CH. 2. Samuels Lyfearon Have I Gone Mad. Very similar in looks to 1 but looked slightly smaller and just preferred movement and drive from 1. 3. McInnes Inneska Malachite
CH D (2) 1. BD, BOS & RBIS Taylor & Taylor – Morris Ch Pelenrise Don’t Stop Moving JW. Nice to be told after that I gave this one BP 4 years ago alongside his dam getting a BOB. Looking back at my then critique I noted that he pushed hard for the ticket that day but I hesitated to give it. Suspect lots have been said about him so – striking as he came in the ring and performed and lived up to his looks. Happy to hand over the rosettes and hear he took RCC the following day. 2. RBD Simms CH Snowmist’s Ultimatum. A beautiful Canadian imp and another quality dog with a lovely head and expression. Very hard to split them and clear why this one is also a CH but today 1 got it
VD (1) BV 1. Houstons Rajarani Dominique. Pleasantly surprised by this older boy. A good size with good leg length, good pasterns and rear angulation all led to tidy movement with drive.

BPB (3, 1abs) BPB & BBP 1. Penman’s Agaelta Northern Light. Litter sister to the baby PD and at 5 months old one to die for. Will be interesting to watch and immaculately turned and presented by her very junior handler in his suit and tie. Lots to like at this early stage but suspect both will do well in the show arena. Had to give them BBP 2. Samuel’s Winter Melody Not That Dramatic Yet. Another cracking young pup maybe a fraction heavier looking at this stage. Both pups moved really well.
MPB (3, 1abs) 1. Waterfield & Sutton’s Gercekask Candy Delight. Lovely foxy head and very feminine expression, showed well, moved well and lots to like for now and the future. 2. Gauntlett’s Eirakee’s You Go Glen Coco(AI). Striking B&W again with a very nice head good proportions and lots of potential.
PB (4,1abs) 4) BP & BP in Show 1. Cameron’s Articskies Fallen Angel for Sutarka’s. Excuse me if I am wrong but believe 1 and 2 litter sisters but catalogue details don’t quite match. Extremely similar as you would expect but I just preferred the head of 1. Lovely correct all round proportions, well-presented and handler bringing out the best to go on to win BP in show. 2. Simms Articskies Warrier Queen. Again a lovely puppy who pushed hard for top spot, good front, neck and well put together. Lovely mover but my head preference of 1 did it on the day. 3. Gercekask Candy Delight.
JB (3,2abs) 1. Jackson’s Aloustairs Circle of Life. A slighter R&W but with good length of leg, tuck up and rear angulation. A little unsettled moving buy enough to see what she can do. Cheeky feminine expression.
YB ( 2) 1. Nymerias Sugar Spice and Everything Nice for Zimavolk (Imp Svn). Another striking B&W who had some ring presence. A clear look at me feminine expression. Good coat, front and bone structure would hope her leg length keeps coming and does not hold this super girl back. 2. Aloustairs Circle of Life – see JB class.
UGB (1) 1. Simms Articskies Warrier Queen – see PB class.
GB (3,2 abs)) 1. Wynne’s Mydisa Hielan Wee Haiver. Nicely proportioned white bitch with piercing blue eyes set well in a foxy head. She was a little nervous on the day which, I think, played on her performance on the day.
PGB (1) 1. Donaldson-Buist’s Aloustairs Ghost Chilli for Faoilchu. Tidy B&W with a head having ‘standout’ white rings around her eyes. Lots of good points, pasterns, stifle length of leg and showed well.
LB (3) 1. Amical Valetta, excellently presented bitch in top condition. Nice arched neck, good head, front, chest and feet. Moved effortlessly but if anything, her topline not so level when stood. 2. Sutarka’s Calla of Agealta JW. Another fine-looking exhibit overall well put together. Coat giving her a heavier look but a good example of the need to get your hands under the coat. Close decision but preferred movement of my winner. 3. Gercekask Amortentia
OB (5,1abs) 1. Kent’s Lyfearon off with her Head SHCEX. Happy to take this one home. Lovely feminine lady with a lovely head an expression, correct front neck length and arch of neck, good length and height proportions and moved nicely back and forth and around the ring. 2. Brysons’s Inukshuk Quinuituq O’North. Not so striking but lots to like. Nice head, front, pasterns set correct and moved very effortlessly. 3. Cameron’s Sutarka’s for one Night Only
CH B (4) 1. BB & BIS Rees CH Winter Melody Triple Trouble at Amical. Head turner as soon as she walked into the ring but against some terrific competition in this class. An awful lot of CC’s between the exhibits in this class so I found out later. Looks the part and movement to match. Well-deserved but pushed hard by the dog for Best in Show. 2. RBB Taylor & Taylr-Morris CH Pelenrise Don’t let me Go, another past puppy winner 4 years ago from me and happy to see she has gone on to greater things, little to add to what I am sure has been written numerous times. Good points all round and a great mover just pipped by a final move around the ring. Happy to hear she picked up BOB the following day. 3. Simms CH Sutaka’s Angelica JW SHCEX OSW
VB (4,1abs) 1. Wynne’s CH Mydisa Golden Deelishus JW SHCM SHCEX VW OSW. Again small class but 3 cracking veterans certainly not looking like vets. I saw 1 & 2 swopped positions the following day. Close call for me with both having similar plus points, good heads, correct eyes shape and siting, leg length, fronts and level toplines stood and on the move. Both effortless on the move. 2. Hughes CH Siberiadrift Keep Forever JW SHCM SHCEX. As above but today just thought 1’s movement just a little tidier.
3. Kents Jacalous Fire n ice at Lyfearon JW.
