Bath Championship Show 2025
German Spitz Klein
Bath showground was immaculate, with neatly trimmed grass, spacious rings, clear announcements, and the sun shining beautifully throughout the day.
It was an absolute honour to be awarding CCs for the first time at Bath Championship Show 2025 in German Spitz Kleins. The society extended a warm welcome, and the hospitality was truly fantastic. Sadly, I had been involved in a serious car accident the day before and was feeling very stiff and sore. It was such a shame that I couldn’t enjoy my appointment to its fullest—an appointment I had been looking forward to for nearly two years.
Despite this, I thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful exhibits that came under me and was incredibly touched by the lovely comments received afterwards. I was also fortunate to have an excellent steward who supported me throughout the morning, especially as I was moving a little slower than usual. My sincere apologies to anyone who may have found my judging a little delayed.

Class 123 – Veteran Dog
1st – 379 – Mrs & Mrs Jackson & Minshall – Ch Perrymere Just Bertie JW
Sweet cream boy with fabulous pigment and tidy feet. He is short-coupled and moved out with style, grace, and purpose, in firm muscular condition. I would prefer a slightly higher ear set, but it doesn’t detract from his beautiful head. Unfortunately, he had his ‘boy head’ on in the veteran challenge and lost focus, thinking more about girls than the job at hand.
2nd – 388 – Mrs Trendle – Lusam Cheeky Boy
Hard to believe this lad is 11 years old – he’s in excellent condition for his age. He has a classic Spitz outline and a handsome head. He was a little flat on the move today and lacked his usual spark.
---
Class 124 – Puppy Dog
1st – 382 – Mrs & Miss Lampen & Wilson – Rosco’s Hurricane
Very sweet cream puppy with fabulous pigment and tidy feet. He is short-coupled, moved with style and purpose, and is in firm condition. I loved his head and perfectly placed ears. I seriously considered him for the Reserve CC. A very exciting puppy—I will follow his career with great interest.
2nd – 390 – Mrs & Mrs Trendle & Hill – Fecimus We’re On The Ball
Charming shaded black puppy with an abundance of coat, which slightly obscures his outline. I adored his head and he has a beautifully constructed rear. He was a little rascal today—bouncing and playful—so difficult to fully assess. But when he concentrated for a moment, he moved out true to type.
---
Class 125 – Junior Dog
1st – 366 – Ms K Andrew – Clean Edge of Glory
Young black dog—absolutely my type! Stylish and clean throughout. Slightly distracted on the move, but stands four-square every time. He has obliquely set eyes, small ears, a super front assembly, excellent rear angulation, and a high-set tail. A very impressive young male who I am confident will become a champion. I considered him strongly for top honours, but he lost focus in the challenge.
2nd – 375 – Mrs Hall – Crystalclear Bobbee Dazzler (IKC)
Sweet orange boy, 11 months old. A different type to 1st. He has a good dark eye and pigment, shown in excellent coat and condition. Clearly very bonded with his handler. He lacks the angulation of 1st but still moved out well.
---
Class 126 – Post Graduate Dog
1st – 373 – Mrs Foster – Claran Court Your Eye
Cream dog of pleasing type with a delightful head and excellent coat. Good front construction, though tended to stand a little wide behind. Once settled, he moved out well—just a bit exuberant!
---
Class 127 – Limit Dog
1st – 381 – Mrs & Miss Lampen & Wilson – Melitabe Orion Von Roscoe
Absolutely delightful sable boy with a head I adored. Super pigment, good ear set, excellent front, and well-angulated rear. Moved well and presented in fabulous coat. I’ll be watching him closely in the future. Sadly, he was looking for his mum during the challenge and was a little distracted.
---
Class 128 – Open Dog
A fantastic class of champions, all of different types but equally deserving of their titles. I was truly spoiled for choice.
1st – 373 – F Grater – Ch Radajasas Henri at Delgray
Possibly the finest Klein I’ve ever seen. Near impossible to fault—only downside is that I can’t take him home! Perfect outline, stands four-square every time, beautiful eye shape, strong bone, and excellent shoulder and hind angulation. Used his ears beautifully, shown in superb muscle and coat condition. Excellent footfall with tight, neat feet. Simply outstanding. CC & BOB.
2nd – 368 – Mr & Mrs Chambers – Ch Bemojo Pearls Of Wisdom At Musique
Beautiful cream dog, correct for bone and size. Exquisite head with lovely ears, moved out well. Just coming back into coat. Fabulous rear with tidy feet. RDCC.

Class 129 – Special Beginners Dog or Bitch
1st – 384 – Mr & Miss Morgan & Griffiths
Sweet young bitch. A little rangy and long in body for me. Needs to strengthen in front but moved well. She’s clearly devoted to her handler—they make a lovely team.
---
Class 130 – Veteran Bitch
1st – 370 – Mrs & Miss Ferry – Ch Longsdale’s Little Bird with Ferrybelle
A very worthy champion—compact and pretty with a captivating expression. Excellent front assembly and tidy feet. She carries a tremendous coat, which slightly obscures her outline. She looked a little tired on the move and didn’t hold her ears well in the challenge.
2nd – 374 – F Grayer – Radajasas Nancy Wake At Delgray
Pretty white girl with a lovely shape, but she was uncooperative today—acting like a puppy and not listening to her handler, making assessment on the move difficult. Great front and tidy feet.
---
Class 131 – Puppy Bitch
1st – 367 – Mrs T Beck – Roscoe’s Breeze
Pretty sable girl in good coat. Lovely front with matching rear angulation, tight feet, and excellent bone. I would prefer a slightly higher ear set, but she’s an exciting prospect.
---
Class 133 – Post Graduate Bitch
1st – 364 – Mrs, Mr & Mrs Allison, Chambers & Chambers
Smaller black girl of excellent type. Good front. I’d like a little more of her overall, but she is well-balanced. Starting to drop coat, but what remains is of good texture. Moved well once settled. RBCC
2nd – 371 – Mrs Foster – Bemojo Pearls Of Honey
Pretty cream girl of good size. Excellent feet. Looks to be coming back into coat. Needs to strengthen in front to complete the picture.
---
Class 134 – Limit Bitch
1st – 376 – Mr & Mrs Hickson – Claran Court of Delights at Kichigai
Utterly delightful, square cream bitch. Small, but perfectly within standard. Neat front with a matching, excellent rear. You really need hands on to appreciate how well she is put together. Moved with true Spitz style. Delighted to award her the BCC—I understand this is her third, so congratulations on your new Champion!
2nd – 387 – Miss Rogerson – Nosregor Easy On Me
Pretty black girl with my ideal head type. Sweet expression, well-constructed. Needs to tighten slightly in front but has an excellent rear. She tended to crab on the move. I moved her multiple times, but she insisted on going slightly sideways.
---
Class 135 – Open Bitch
1st – 386 – Miss Rogerson – Ch Nosregor Sister Sledge
Very pretty cream girl. Slightly out of coat, but still presents a lovely shape and balance. Good ear placement, excellent pigment, stands four-square, and has strong hind angulation. Moved very well. I considered her for top honours, but she lost her sparkle in the challenge and wasn’t showing off her ears or expression.
