British Utility Breeds Association

Breed: Shar Pei

Firstly I would like to thank the Officers and Committee for their invitation to judge at this show. To the exhibitors for their entries. Some very nice dogs and the breed is in a good state. An enjoyable day was had.

PUPPY DOG. 1

1st. Ms T Shelley's - Periwinkles What's All That About At Zaralee (IMP CAN). A promising puppy with lots to like about him. He was of good size, Square, He has ample body and substance, Good head, nice eye with a well padded muzzle and good dentition. Neck is of moderate length with a good lay of shoulder, He is straight in front with good bone and feet, good for depth of brisket with a dip and rise over a firm loin. A well muscled rear with some good angulation, a youngster who is very sound on the move. I was pleased to award him BPIB & RCC.

JUNIOR DOG. 3

1st. Mrs Grimshaw's - Sharpuggles Blow Me Down. Another nice youngster who is progressing along the right lines. Broad in skull with a good eye, neat ears, powerful muzzle and strong jaw. Strong neck and masculine shoulders, neat front of good width, ample depth, short in back and good width to his loin, masculine rear and good second thigh, a nice moving dog who covers plenty of ground.

2nd. Mrs E Robinson's - D'Terescan Bobby Farrell At Yoxia (IMP ESP). Pleasing and balanced male, nice enough head, broad, small ears and eye, nice width across the front with enough bone, he is good for depth of brisket, a firm loin and moves well.

3rd. Mr & Mrs Gardners Mijuju Flat White.

LIMIT DOG 2

1st. Ms J Dawson's Quinnhalo Single Pringle JW. A male of good type, well balanced, square, Head of good proportions, Well set ears, good neck and pleasing top line, Neat front with ample body and substance, good feet, a firm rear and moved well on the day.

2nd. Ms B SJ, Mr A, Miss MJ & Mr B Gepp, Cox, Cox & Treacher's Bemojo Hakuna Matata. Nice enough dog, Good ears, eye and a well padded muzzle, He has a tidy front, with nice bone, has good substance throughout with a nice firm rear, Moves well.

OPEN DOG 3.

1st. Mrs Rowlands - CH Jolerob One For The Road To Meixiu. A well balanced male who caught my eye when entering the ring, A good headed male with nothing exaggerated. He is straight in front with a lovely depth of brisket, Correct topline, with a nice well muscled angulated rear and a male who covers the ground very well, in good coat and well turned out. Pleased to award him the CC & BOB.

2nd. Mr MK & Miss AJ Bragg's - Loopang's Jimmy Choo Junior (AI) A male of good size and in proportion. He is well off for bone and substance, has a good firm neck and a good lay of shoulder, Correct depth of brisket and top line, firm rear and moved out well. On the day I preferred the head of 1.

3rd. Mrs B S J, Mr JA & Miss MJ Gepp, Cox, Cox & Cox's Witchgait Smile With Style At Bemojo.

VETERAN DOG 1

1st. Miss V Poole's CH Coatakinti Double Dare. A worthy Champion shown in good condition and looked very well on the day. Good headed male, balanced, well bodied and a good jacket with a firm rear. Nice to see him enjoying his day out. BV.

JUNIOR BITCH 4.

1st. Ms R Wilkin's - Wanmei Follow The Sunshine, A pretty bitch of good type, She has a well proportionate head, nice eye, ears and dentition, neck is of moderate length, firm and a good lay of shoulder. A neat front, plenty of bone and a feminine body, a firm rear with good muscle tone and moves well.

2nd. Mrs Grimshaw's - Sharpuggles Hold On Tight. This youngster has a lot going on for her, Very nice in head, with a moderate length of neck, good eye, ears and dentition with a pretty expression and good pigmentation. She is well bodied, nice depth and a lovely rear, for me she just needs a little more time to finish off, a promising youngster.

3rd. Miss J Knox's Wyldette Lilith Never Eve.

LIMIT BITCH 3.

1st. Mr B & Mrs C Bull & Warren's Jolerob One Way Of Puttin It At Starferry. Litter sister to my dog CC winner and a lot in common. She is a typy bitch with a pleasing head of good proportions, well set ears. Medium sized dark eye, with a well padded muzzle, straight in front with good bone and feet, Correct depth of brisket and a correct top line, broad over a firm loin with a well muscled rear, well let down hocks and a free moving bitch who covers the ground well.

2nd. Miss T & Mr J Barratt & Clarke's - Witchgait Toast Of The Town For Dezellumi. A pleasing bitch who is feminine and of good type. Broad skull, flat planes with a good stop. Nice dark eye and good ears, she has good padding to her muzzle and good pigmentation. A firm neck into sloping shoulders and a dip and rise to he top line. A well bodied bitch without exaggeration, a nice rear with nice angles, and sound on the move.

3rd. Miss J Knox's Terra Tos Celtas Tell Me Everything At Coatakinti. (IMP ESP)

OPEN BITCH 5

1st. Mrs Grimshaw's Sharpuggles Pamela Pumpkin. A very nice, typy, well balanced bitch what ticks all the right boxes. She is of good size and feminine. Broad in head, ears well set, nice dark eye with correct dentition with good pigmentation. She has a firm neck and a good lay of shoulder, nice width across her front which was straight with good bone and feet. Ample depth of brisket with a good topline and firm over her loin. She has a lovely rear with good firm muscle tone and well let down hocks. She is very sound on the move and a bitch who covers the ground very well. Shown in good coat and texture. Pleased to award her the CC.

2nd. Mrs T Shelley's - IR CH GuardianI Di Huang Di Gustavia At Zaralee. CW23 CENT W CEN CH. Another nice bitch, pleasing head, neat ears with dark eye, a padded muzzle and good pigmentation. She is good for bone, nice deep brisket, enough body and substance throughout. She has a firm tidy rear and in good coat. A balanced bitch who moved and covers the ground well. RCC
