Special Beginners Dog or Bitch (1/0)

1st Smith’s Carradine Becky Between Us. 2 year old dark grey brindle girl. Good in head, dark eye of a keen expression, adequate reach of neck to well laid shoulders, in good body and general substance, good harsh outer jacket, moved well. Delighted to watch this team win the special beginners group.

Puppy Dog (1,0)

1st Lucas & Tobutt’s Carradine Sir Percival. 10 months wheaten boy, good for head, well defined skull, excellent earset on high, dark hazel keen eye, fantastic dentition of large bright white teeth in a scissor bite. Good reach of neck to well laid shoulders, moved balanced. Best puppy in breed.

Yearling Dog (1,0)

1st Rose’s Carradine All Ways A Chance. 20 months brindle boy, strong head, good dentition and ear placement which I would prefer a touch higher, good dark keen eye, good neck to well laid shoulders, overall well bodied, moved well, in good jacket.

Limit Dog (2,1)

1st Lucas & Tobutt’s Seveek Country Lad. 4 year old dark brindle boy, good in head and dentition, good harsh outer jacket, slightly wider in front, good in body and rear assembly, moved ok.

Open Dog (2,0)

1st Thomas’ Tycadno Magic Man. Attractive wheaten male, excels in head, ear set and expression, gives back the keenest of looks, excellent front assembly, good for bone without being overly so, excellent rear assembly, overall just excellent balance and substance, moved sound. Delighted to award him what I was then told was his 3rd CC.

2nd Harrison, Innett & Bateman’s Carradine My Way Lenny. 20 months dark brindle boy, excels in head and expression, good front and rear assembly, moved very soundly. Still very much a youngster and I would of liked a little more of him, however as a very balanced example of the breed was happy to award him RCC.

Minor Puppy Bitch (2,1)

1st Thomas’ Tycadno Christmas Star. 10 months wheaten pup, very attractive in head, keen eyes and ears, good in dentition, very raw at the moment but good general body and very promising, moved well.

Puppy Bitch (2,0)

1st Hiam & Hartop’s Carradine Hazel Moon. 10 months attractive wheaten puppy, excellent in head and expression, and excellent dentition. Well domed skull, excellent length of neck to well laid shoulders, good for body and substance, excellent rear assembly, moved sound.

2nd Parker Tucker’s Uniquecottage Dark Tansy. 10 months dark grey pup, excellent in head and dentition, excellent overall balance, moved well when more settled, super muscled rear.

Junior Bitch (2,0)

1st Dolan’s Glenrood It Has To Be Me. Year old wheaten girl, excellent in head and dentition, well domed skull, good neck to well laid shoulders, clean in front, good in general body, does look a little leggy currently, but of good type, moved sound.

2nd Parker Tucker’s Uniquecottage Sorrell. 10 months cream pup, good in head and dentition, well off for body and substance, good general outline and balance, not using ears to her advantage, moved well.

Yearling Bitch (1,0)

1st Thomas’ Tycadno Winter Star. 20 months wheaten, excelled in head, well domed skull, keen eye, excellent dentition, good neck to well laid shoulders, in excellent general balance and substance, excellent rear angulation, not to little and not too much, balance is very much the word for this very striking girl. Well muscled rear quarters which drove her round the ring. Again was very pleased to learn this was her 3rd CC, and I had no hesitation to award her best of breed. Very well deserved group 3 later in the big ring too.

Post Graduate Bitch (2,0)

1st Bingham’s Carradine Miss Hayley. Dark brindle girl, excellent for head and dentition, good forchest and front assembly, good neck to well laid shoulders, excellent general balance and substance, moved well.

2nd Thomas & Jones’ Castleline Seren At Tycadno. Very nice girl who took my eye, 20 months wheaten, excellent in head and dentition, well domed skull and keenest of expressions, good in front and rear assembly and moved sound. Looking a little tall currently and carrying far too much coat on her tail, but I love her type.

Limit Bitch (3,0)

1st Wright’s Brenndarcy Spellbinding For Glenmonte. Lovely 3 year old cream girl, nicest of heads, small yet in proportion with body, well domed skull, dark keen almond shaped eye, and ears carried high lending to that typical Cairn expression which sadly seems to be in decline. Very well bodied and in excellent balance, moved soundly round the ring. Smaller framed than others in the ring, yet well off for substance and muscle, and ideal for her intended job. RCC.

2nd Parker Tuckers Birselaw Floral Dancer Of Uniquecottage. Wheaten bitch, good in head and dentition, well defined front and good lay of shoulders, good for body and general balance, moved well.

3rd Smiths Cloverbrook Shining Star Over Gethlee.

Open Bitch (3,1)

1st Dolan’s Glenrood Midnight Spell. Dark brindle 3 year old, good for head, dentition, earset and dentition, good neck to well laid shoulders, good for body and general balance, excellent rear assembly, well muscled, moved sound.

2nd Waugh’s Dazzle Me At Tribannon. 3 year old wheaten, more up on leg than 1, and not the shoulder of 1, however moved out well showing good general balance and substance.

Veteran Bitch (1,0)

1st Smith’s Cannwood Misty Dawn At Gethlee. 9 year old wheaten, good for head and expression, dentition in good order for her age, good neck to well laid shoulders, good for body and general balance, excellent jacket of harsh outer coat, good rear assembly, moved well.
