I would like to thank the member clubs for giving me the opportunity of judging the Irish Setter bitches at this prestigious Gundog Association, I thoroughly enjoyed my quality entry, and was so pleased my co judge and I agreed on all the major awards. Thanks must also go my stewards for their expert running of the ring.

Very promising 6 months old with lovely outline, pretty feminine head with correct proportions, low set ears, clean lengthy neck, straight front, sloping topline, well angulated at front and rear, moved out so well for one so young.

Typical youngster with a pretty feminine head on lengthy neck, straight forelegs, deep chest, firm topline, just needs to strengthen at the rear.

2ND 504 - Dendroch Anne Frank (Mrs L M Taylor)

Nicely balanced young female who pushed one for the class, but on the day I just preferred ones more feminine head and sounder movement.

Feminine young lady, pretty head with almond shaped eye, lengthy neck into good lay of shoulder, firm topline which she held on the move, good width of quarters, looked sound in profile on the move.

2ND 468 - Thendara Truly (Mrs D & Mr J Milligan-Bott & Bott)

Quality junior with good balanced outline, feminine head with lovely dark eye, clean arched neck, straight forelegs, good angles at front and rear, pushed one hard, but preferred ones sounder movement.

Stunning young female who just oozes breed type, she has the loveliest of well proportioned heads with typical expression, is well balanced with excellent confirmation, just loved her free flowing ground covering movement, she was presented and handled to perfection. So pleased to hear she already has her Sh Ch award.

Another quality female with feminine head on clean reachy neck, well laid shoulders.sloping topline into correct tailset, deep chest, well turned stifle, moved well with reach and drive.

Racy youngster with well proportioned feminine head on good length of neck, short loin, good turn of stifle, moved out true but it still needs to tighten, hopefully this will come given time.

Smaller compact female who I thought was my original winner, but I just preferred the confirmation and truer movement one’s.

Lovely feminine 2 year old with all the essentials, balanced head with low set ears, moderate arched neck, straight forelegs, correct topline, deep chest, well angulated fore and aft, moved out very sound and true from strong quarters.

2ND 409 - Danwish Aria On Lotushill (Mrs C Borthwick)

Elegant racy female with typical feminine head and expression, lengthy neck, deep chest, well ribbed, just loved her clean balanced outline and front and rear angulation, moved soundly with drive, close call with one.

Top quality female of excellent breed type, she is so well constructed with excellent overall racy balance, has a most beautiful feminine head on muscular lengthy neck, just loved her powerful free flowing driving movement from her strong quarters, presented and handled to perfection.

Feminine young lady, pretty head with almond shaped eye, lengthy neck into good lay of shoulder, firm topline which she held on the move, well sprung ribs, good width of quarters, sound on the move with good drive.

Quality females with the loveliest of well proportioned heads with a gentle expressions, is well balanced with excellent confirmation, has a straight front, clean reachy neck, with good angulation fore and aft, moved with excellent reach and drive.

 Another quality female with good overall balance, feminine head with correct shape eye, sloping topline into correct tailset, deep chest, good width of quarters, sound on the move, but not quite the reach and drive of one.

Very elegant racy female with lovely well balanced feminine head, clean neck into well placed shoulders, good spring of rib, well angulated quarters with good width, moved out soundly with reach and drive.

Judged this quality bitch almost three years ago so pleased to have the pleasure of judging her again, she is a good size female with excellent overall balance, her head is feminine and well proportioned, she is well angulated fore and aft, her movement was free flowing with good drive.

2ND 519 - Int Ch Yokozumba Lofty (fci) (Mrs E Wojcik-Maksymiec)

Mature two year old with typical feminine head, lengthy neck into well placed shoulders, deep chest, short loin, well rounded stifles, moved our soundly but not with the drive of one.

3RD 463 - Ch Rahina Della Magna Sila Jch (Mrs M Mazzuca)

Top quality 8 year old who looked on top for form today, she has the most loveliest of feminine heads, is well angulated at front and rear, deep in chest with good spring of rib, just loved her effortless free flowing movement, such a lovely veteran.

Another 8year old with gentle feminine expression, clean reachy neck, firm level topline into correct tail set, adequate rear angulation, moved out straight and true but not the drive of one, in excellent coat and condition.

3RD 448 - Alolfrana U'are A Diamond (Mrs N W & Mr J K Hughes)
