14th June 2025
Flatcoated Retriever
Firstly thank you so much to the Border Union Agricultural Society for asking me to judge and give my first set of CC’s at their show. It is one of my favourite shows and venues, visiting many times over the years. You also provided 2 fantastic stewards, thanks again. I must say a huge thank you to the exhibitors for your entry both in number and quality, I really wish I could have had several CC’s to give out. It was a fabulous entry and you seemed to accept that we needed to be in the wet weather ring, at least we got out for the challenges. I'm sure some of the dog’s didn't move as freely inside but I was thrilled with my line ups.

1st Wiccanssage Virtue at Rydanah SGWC (Mrs J Holmes ) My notes on this bitch started with wow. Even at nearly 10 years old she epitomizes “A bright active dog of medium size with an intelligent expression, showing power without lumber and raciness without weediness" She brought her handler into the ring and owned it. She has a feminine head with an intelligent/naughty expression, enhanced with a dark eye and neat ears. She is balanced throughout with good angulation, lay of shoulder, spring of rib and short square loin. She moved with drive (and more) holding her topline to her correct tailset. It was a joy to give her the Bitch CC and BV ( I found out later that this was her 3rd CC, congratulations)
